Out of all the foundations I've tried this makes my skin look the best! I will say that you probably shouldn't be using this if you are having any dry patches or flakes at the moment because it WILL accentuate dry skin. I save this for my good skin days. It has light coverage and looks very natural on the skin brightening the complexion. I have tried every which way to apply this and my favorite way has been to smooth it in with my fingers and then afterwards use a damp cosmetic sponge to gently press it in to the skin. It looks SO natural and I love wearing this foundation. It also happens to be my longest wearing foundation as well.
Moisturizers -Garnier - Moisture Rescue Refreshing Gel-Cream
Sarrellie 6/7/2012 7:27:00 PM
LOVE! Yeah, I know it is a jar and that isn't ideal if you're into being all hygienic. But I am willing to look past that because this is amazingness for so cheap! I have oily but dehydrated skin due to acne medication. So I will have dry skin with oil sitting on top of it. I wanted something to moisturize but not make me more oily. I found out that Clinique Moisture Surge was amazing for my skin type but I went through that stuff fast and it was SOO expensive. So then I heard that the Garnier Moisture Rescue in the jar was exactly like the Clinique version so I gave it a try. Omg it is almost the exact same stuff but where I get it the price is around 5 dollar compared to the 48 dollars for the clinique one. It is so refreshing to put on and it sinks in almost immediately. It isn't fragrance free but the smell is very faint and fresh smelling. I can't see the smell bothering many people. Obviously this lotion won't do much for those with dry skin but if you have combo or oily skin definitely try this out!
I like the packaging of this product. It's really hygienic. And I like that it doesn't make me break out and that it has SPF 25. That's about it. I originally bought this because a lot of people with my same skin type raved about it. I really don't like the feel of this stuff when I put some in my hand (I apply it with my fingers because it looks horrible on me when applied any other way) it felt so greasy and nasty and thick. And when putting it on it's so slippery and it barely has any coverage. I don't want a lot of coverage in a foundation but I at least want something. And this stuff makes me a greasy mess within a few hours and accentuates every pore and wrinkle on my face. And I didn't think I had any wrinkles considering that I'm 21, don't smoke, moisturize. I thought that maybe I got a fake but I checked and I bought mine from a reputable ebay seller that everyone recommends (rubyrubyshop) and even watched a few youtube videos on how to tell if it's fake. Nope! Real! I just really don't like this stuff :(
I was really shocked with this product. I wasn't expecting it to be that great considering that it's so cheap and it isn't targeted for oily skin and my skin gets reaaaally oily. This stuff is great! I like to put this on with some kind of flat top brush, I use either my flat top multipurpose brush from sonia kashuk or my elf studio powder brush. This blends in so perfectly and makes skin look flawless. It doesn't accentuate my dry skin patches that I get from acne medication either. This would be perfect if I could find one that matched my skin color, they don't seem to make one light enough for me, and I don't think of myself as super pale. So the one I use is a tad too dark and yellow but it's ok, I make it work. And the wear on this is not amazing and I have to blot a couple times a day to be shine free but I haven't found a foundation that I haven't had to blot with. But I really recommend this stuff!
This brush was okay and it did it's job, nothing special. It did a pretty good job of applying mmu and mediocre job with blush/bronzer, that is up until I washed it for the 4th time and it just fell apart. The bristles didn't fall out or anything, but all the metal pieces just separated and I couldn't put them back together. I am definitely tossing this because I am liking my E.L.F. studio powder brush way better anyway, and it's cheaper!

I love E.L.F. and haven't had any problems with any of the products I've tried before but this brush was kind of a let down. It's scratchy and not really good for doing anything with your eyes, but I have found that it's okay for filling in your eyebrows with eyeshadow.
Moisturizers -Equate - Complete Beauty Lotion with SPF 15 - Sensitive Skin

Love it! I have very oily skin, so I usually don't wear moisturizers but I was worried about sun damage and getting wrinkles early so I went looking for a good moisturizer. I head olay was good so I went to walmart to pick some of their products up and I saw that equate had a dupe of the one I wanted to get. This stuff is great! It absorbs into my skin very quickly and doesn't leave a greasy film on my face like so many other moisturizers do. It hasn't made me break out (a lot of products tend to do that) and it was really cheap! I don't see any cons with this product! <3 love

These were just meh. They dry out really easy, I had to use two wipes each time I took my makeup off because they were so dry, my face would be red afterwards because they were too rough. They definitely could have more moisture, and they need to work on their packaging because the container lets the wipes dry out easily.
I originally bought this brush to use for blush, but I should have known just by looking at it that it probably wouldn't work that well. I mean, if you work really hard at it this brush is fine, but it's just too small and it takes forever to get your blush looking natural. But that's fine because I found another use for it! Since I have oily skin I have to powder every inch of my face after I apply foundation or it will slip all over my face or crease in my wrinkles. This is why it's so important for me to set the foundation and concealer around my eyes, or my concealer will settle in to my crease and fine lines. I always had trouble fitting my powder brush under my eyes and I poked my eyes a lot of the time, but this brush is perfect. I've tried blending brushes to set my under eye concealer but they just never worked that well, this one sets my concealer very well. But if you're looking for a good blush brush, you should probably look further.
Primer/ Corrector -Rimmel - Fix and Perfect Foundation Primer

I guess I'm too pale for this stuff (NC20) My face was orange and even after I put my foundation on I noticed that my face was wayyy darker than my neck. It was gross! :( I returned it the next day
Mascara -Bare Escentuals - Flawless Definition mascara
Sarrellie 8/6/2009 9:23:00 PM
ooooh my. I love this mascara! I have been searching high and low for a mascara that will not clump and will keep my lashes curled, I think I've found it! I got this as a sample when I was buying some mineral foundation from bareminerals at macys and I am so glad I did. I have pretty long lashes already but I have a problem of keeping them curled because they're pretty straight, I don't even have to curl my lashes when I use this! When I wear this I look like I'm wearing false lashes, I love it :) I will definitely buy when my sample runs out!
This is the only eyeliner I will ever use EVER! It goes on smoothly and doesn't tug at my lid. It stays and won't smudge. I go swimming with it and when I come out of the water my eyeliner looks the same as when I went in. It lasts a long time and I am sooooo happy I found the perfect eyeliner.
I love this mascara. After trying covergirl lashblast and being completely disappointed I was on the search once more for a mascara that would give me volume but at the same time look natural. This does it for me! It gives me the volume I want without those icky clumps. I'm sticking with this one :)
When I first heard about this mascara I was so excited. I love my lashes with volume, I look for mascaras that will really make my eye lashes stand out. This does the job but it's really clumpy. I had to keep picking at my lashes which I think defeats the purpose. I stopped using this and instead bought Rimmel Extra Super Lash which I find works soooo much better!
Pressed Powders -Revlon - New Complexion Oil Free Pressed Powder
Sarrellie 1/14/2009 11:25:00 PM
I bought this because I needed a pressed powder that I could carry around with me for quick touch ups when I was out. I use bareminerals which would be quite difficult using anywhere else than home. I never use this as a setting powder, It makes my face look way more pale than it already is. I usually use this over my mineral makeup when I need a quick touch up. It really does even out your skin tone and makes the red tones go away.
