Sadly, the only thing I liked about this product was the packaging. I just love when wipes have a door on the pack!! But, this was where my love ended. The wipe itself was really scratchy and kind of dry even though it was the first one. I held it on my eye for a little while, wiggled then swiped and.... nothing! All of my makeup was still on, didn't even budge. So I go to try again and the same thing. I wet the wipe a little bit, put more makeup remover on it, etc and it just was not working. I did finish the entire pack up because I hate wasting things but still my experience stayed the same. These also really irritated my eyes, I think it was the scratchiness of the wipes. The wipes were the gentle version and they were still scratchy and awful. Not a win here.
Mascara -Cover Girl - Lash Blast Clump Crusher mascara
SarebbeBello 1/23/2013 11:56:00 AM
So, I guess this has the right to be called Clump Crusher because so little product is deposited on your lashes! This just doesn't do it for me. Yes, I was a sucker and bought this because I love P!nk and I saw that her makeup artist used this on her at the VMAs and I figured why not. Well what I ended up with was an extremely dry mascara. Dry, and you have to use about 3 coats to get a minutely dramatic affect. Then afterwards I'll take a gander in the mirror and my lashes just look crunchy. This was unfortunately a fail for me. Plus it runs and I get panda eyes. Not happening.
Lotions/ Creams -Alba Botanica - Original Body Lotion
SarebbeBello 11/27/2012 9:21:00 PM
This is my favorite lotion of all time. I use the maximum formula though..my skin's super dry. This stuff soaks right into your skin and never leaves any sort of greasiness. I use this after shaving combined with tea tree oil and it helps incredibly with irritation and razor burn, dryness, etc. I also didn't love the smell when I bought it but I really like it now. It's hard to describe it's kind of a flowery earthy scent. love that the bottle is huge so it lasts me a good two months or so which isn't bad since I don't even have to moisturize at night with this stuff. I get mine at Target usually for around 20 bucks which is kinda steep but it's really worth it.
As almost everyone I had to buy this when it came out. This was actually my first palette ever. What a great choice I made. The colors in this are awesome, as most said it is pretty warm for the most part. There is some fallout but with a primer it does make it a lot better. Sidecar is a lost cause because no matter what you do you will get glitter on your face. But I love the color too much to really care! I just use a powder brush to get rid of any loose glitter. The pigmentation in the shadows is amazing, everything goes on pretty creamy..especially the mattes. If I lost this I would definitely repurchase. This is a great neutral palette to carry. The packaging is okay.. I like Naked 2 wayyyyyy better. The closeable tin is awesome. Naked is just a cardboard flap...doesn't seem all that secure if I have to take it in my handbag with me. But it is a price I'm willing to pay for greatness.
Cleansers -Ponds - Chamomile & White Tea Cleansing Cloths
SarebbeBello 10/8/2012 3:35:00 PM
I love these wipes soooo much! They're awesome at taking off my eye make up. They even get off my waterproof stuff. I just hold the cloth on each eye for a couple minutes and just wiggle back and forth and swipe and it's pretty much all gone. I love the scent! It's very calming and soothing, perfect for bedtime. I rarely use these on my face because I don't wear foundation or anything so I can't attest to that but for eyes they're a miracle. My eyes are never dry or irritated after using these which is great because Neutrogena's were a little rough for me. Though these cloths are quilted they're very soft and gentle unlike the Simple wipes! My main gripe is the stupid packaging. It's almost impossible to just shut the flap because it always gets wet from the wipes. Please develop a bag with a door Ponds!
Eyeliner -Urban Decay - 24-7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Zero
SarebbeBello 10/8/2012 3:28:00 PM
I got this in the Urban Decay 15th anniversary set. I'm glad I didn't spend the what..18 dollars on the pencil by itself because I hate it. It is such a creamy formula that I feel like it never dries and sets. So when I wear this as eyeliner I get black marks in my crease! WTH!! It's supposed to be a 24/7 pencil so I don't understand why it will never set and runs all over the place and also flakes a little. My prestige pencils are way better than this and they're kohl! Ehh this was a fail Urban Decay. Surprisingly their pencil in Perversion stays better than this. For the most part I never had problems with their pencils running or smudging but this one I can't even deal with.
Tarte, you have saved my face! I hate wearing foundation, I hate having thick layers on my face. I've tried a lot of lighter foundations and tinted moisturizers which usually broke me out or oxidized. I also started getting more into natural stuff so on a whim I tried Tarte and I was hooked immediately. This stuff has pretty good coverage for being a tinted moisturizer. I have redness across my nose and on the sides of it as well as under eye circles and all that good stuff. With one layer this pretty much covers everything. I do conceal in my under eye area and around my nose but that's typically needed anyway. The price is awesome at I think 36? I usually have mine for about 4 to 6 months and I use it daily. So 6 bucks a month for a natural product for an awesome looking face? Count me in! I never experienced the SPF smell that some people have so that was never a problem. It does seem like there's shimmer in the formula but once it's on your face it all just blends in and it's unnoticeable. I have combo skin and this never makes me oily except on my dang forehead....but that's a lost cause anyway. Awesome tinted moisturizer Tarte!
Scrubs -St. Ives - Timeless Sin Renew & Firm Apricot Scrub
SarebbeBello 10/2/2012 3:24:00 PM
I have been using this for so long. This saved me from my teenage acne so this is a lifesaver for me. It's a scrub but there's not a lot of beads in the formula. It's gentle, gets all of my makeup off (not mascara) and leaves me skin feeling fresh and clean. I do feel a little tight afterwards but I always moisturize so that's not a problem. Lately I have been noticing that the texture of my skin and the tone isn't really what I'm looking for so I started exploring different options. I was looking on a couple of different ingredient analyzing sites and the ratings on this weren't so good. So I do have to switch to something a little less toxic. I'm thinking this might be why my skin isn't looking as healthy as it should. If the toxicity doesn't bother you with this I'd say to definitely give it a try. Well thanks for the run St. Ives
This has been my HG for a while. I got it as a free sample from Ulta and I never looked back. This moisturizes really nicely. It's light, never feels greasy or heavy whatsoever. The smell is really nice too..very faint and earthy. The amount the pump dispenses is a bit off for me but not too big of a deal. The price is okay I think it's a little on the expensive side but for how good it is I'll suck it up. This suits my combination skin perfectly even during summer months. I do have to switch to the normal/dry version for winter (love that version too) so that's really convenient they have both types in the same line! I really hate fishing for cosmetics I can put on my face without breaking me out so this is huge for me. I like the pump dispenser too I really hate sticking my fingers in tubs for product because it's just unhygienic and I have longer fingernails sometimes and it's just annoying to waste product under your nails. This really plumps my skin and leaves it looking firm and healthy. HG
Treatments (Eye) -Aveeno - Positively Ageless Lifting & Firming Eye Cream
SarebbeBello 10/2/2012 3:10:00 PM
This stuff is okay. I'm only 21 but I do have some under eye puffiness and some wrinkles there. I got this on a whim and it's just okay. It's alright at moisturizing but it does nothing for firming or lifting in my opinion. I see a bit of a difference immediately but that's it. There's no long term affect and that's what I'm looking for. This is alright under make up too but it will cause mascara to run a little bit and eyeshadows to go on uneven. This was a very blah product for me.
Conditioner -Aussie - Miracle Moist conditioner for dry/damaged hair
SarebbeBello 10/2/2012 2:58:00 PM
This stuff is total total crap. I used it thinking it would do what it says.... help people with an oily scalp and dry ends. What did it do? Made my hair break completely off at my ears. Really Aussie? I didn't change anything in my normal hair routine but this crap. For reference to save yourselves I have fine hair that's a couple inches past my bra strap and normally very healthy. Wish it worked but I think I'll steer clear from drugstore haircare from now on.
This mascara is awesome! It's a pretty black formula and I would say it's between wet and dry, which is perfect for me. I have shortish, fair lashes so I mostly look for length and a touch of volume. This is it! This gives me awesome length and killer volume. I can even wear two coats with this stuff and not get clumps which never happens for me. It lasts really well with no flaking or running down my eyes. It thickens the base of my lashes so much it's great. I get so much volume and it makes my lashes look..well huge pretty much like it says. The packaging is okay but the first tube I got broke and wouldn't shut all the way afterwards and I had only used it a couple of times. That was off putting but ehhh I figure I just got a damaged tube. Can't say enough great things about it. HG
Lips -Revlon - Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain - Adore
SarebbeBello 10/2/2012 2:42:00 PM
Again, I love these. This is actually my first red lip color. I trusted the stain because I'm over the slick slippery feeling of lipsticks, I want something I can be secure wearing and not want to check the mirror every couple minutes to see where it's traveling next. This is why I love these balm stains. As I said about Sweetheart you do have to wait a couple minutes for this to set into your lips. This color wears a really cool red orange on me. It does have some shimmer to it, it's on the orange side I would say and it makes the formula a little gritty which I don't love. But I love the color enough that it doesn't phase me so much anymore I just don't rub my lips together as much. Great color, great lasting time, great product.
Lips -Revlon - Just Bitten Kissable Stain Balm- Sweetheart

I am so in love with these it's ridiculous. I own five but this one is by far my favorite. My lips don't have all that much color to them.. I'd call them a very light nude pink. This color wears a bright pinky fuchsia red on me and I loooooove it. I have green eyes and whenever I wear this color it just makes them pop so much, it's crazy. The texture is nice it's always very smooth. It wears really well on me too. I wear it while eating and drinking and never have severe problems with fading or smudging. It does take a little bit to actually absorb and set into the lips after application but I will gladly wait the extra 5 minutes for 5 hours of wear. Even after eating I don't really have to touch up but I do just to get the vibrancy back. I would buy this over and over and over again.
This mascara confuses me. Sometimes it can make my lashes look amazing, long, and thick. Other times it can make them look like a short crinkly mess. I think the trick is to really master the brush's odd shape. When I use the flat side with a tiny tiny bit of the curved side I feel that gives me the best result. It's an awesome mascara when it works. It never flakes on me or runs down my eyes, it's just not consistent. This is my go to when I know I have the extra time to mess with my lashes to get them just right.
