Mascara -L'Oreal - Voluminous False Fiber Lashes
SandyBee 10/19/2011 9:14:00 PM
Maybe the best mascara ever! (and I've got a collection going so I've tried more than a few)...I was planning on trying the ready to wear lash extensions (fibers that you use with mascara) but this is tons easier and I'm not sure I would even WANT them longer/fatter than this. Up to now, the L'oreal Telescopic was my go-to, but just a couple times using this and I'm in mascara love :-)...

Treatments -Advanced Skin Technology - Green Cream by AST
SandyBee 6/3/2006 12:12:00 AM
Definitely an HG in the skin care arena. I use level 9 at night (after working up to it using level 6 for several months first) but still keep 6 on hand when 9 gets my lids a little tender and my face a little drier than normal. I alternate between Level 6 and Avon Alternatives, an excellent exfoliator, for my morning cream. I have never experienced results of this caliber from any other routine--smoother, firmer skin with more even coloring; makes your skin feel soft as a baby's butt! Green Cream is the BEST, and using an exfoliator brings out the best in Green Cream. Tip on Avon - my favorite way to get Alternatives is to order the sample packets on Ebay which are a steal costwise, great for portion control (I usually use only a half-packet a day, though sometimes I will splurge with a whole one, lol) and perfect for travel. I won't be changing anything anytime soon, and I am just coming up on 5 months with GC, which as far as I understand, is when it gets the best! Go, AST! UPDATE: OK, I did this review in 06, it is now 2011 and I thought I should update since it's been a few years since I used GC, and the reason is that they changed the formula and it stopped being such an amazing solution for my skin--not worth the high price tag, anyway. I heard the company was sold, so maybe they changed it then... anyway, I'm sure it will do well for newbies, but those of us looking for more powerful effects probably would notice the difference the most.

Treatments -Sally Hansen - Nail Growth Miracle

First, I have to laugh at a prior reviewer's comments that Sally Hansen tests on animals - somehow the image of a monkey or rat with beautifully done nails just doesn't send me into outrage. Second, this product worked incredibly well for me. Although I agree that it does tend to peel off when you get a few layers on there, it made my nails stronger than they have ever been in my life, which is saying something. I have long hoped to get off artificial nails, and I think this may just help me do it. After 2 weeks, my nails have yet to chip or break--truly a first time phenomenon for me.

Brows -Talika - Talika - Eyebrow Lipocils

A PRODUCT THAT ACTUALLY WORKS!!! YAY!!!! Have only been using it for 1 1/2 weeks, and I can already tell a significant difference in the density of my lashes. Yes, you have to be careful not to get it into your eyes, yes, you need to use the eyebrow applicator for your eyelashes, and yes, it's too expensive. But better a pricey product that WORKS than 10 cheap ones that DON'T. The lashes are mine...and they're SPECTACULAR! ;-)

Liquid -Revlon - Shine Control Mattifying Foundation ] [DISCONTINUED]

Only tried this due to the many rave reviews from MUA'ers and went to cosmeticsandmore.com as suggested -- all I can say is that for $1.99, I was utterly amazed at the quality of this stuff! I bought 6 since they will probably disappear soon, and I'm hoping that they don't start disintegrating on me. At the cheap price, though, so what if they do? The mixing ball may help extend the life of this line - SO sorry they have been discontinued. What a fabulous finish. THANKS, MUA friends!
