Eye Shadow -Revlon - wet/dry eyeshadow quad
rated 4 of 5

Have the Coffee Bean, Brazen Berry, and Violet Haze. The Violet haze just isn't "my" set of colors - I love the Coffee Bean and Brazen Berry. These go on smooth and don't flake alot when applying - and they do last without creasing. For the price they are great. The Brazen Berry isn't really an obvious color on me - MMM Brown/Brown with a suntan - in fact it looks almost 'natural'. The coffee bean gives me a very natural look. I am not a shimmer fan - in fact if they made a quad in all matte that would be my pick. I use the shimmery highlighter and then use translicent powder over it - then finish my eyes. Doing lthis gives me a 'little' shimmer that I can live with.

The verdict is actually still out - but for me the colors are too light -- I have HUGE eyes and what anyone else uses for a liner I can use for a crease color (including black!) I could use the dark color as a lid color and it would look fine -- using the 'muted lavendar' says "here I'm coming with purple eyeshadow". Pros - they blend well and the light pink is a good highlight color for me. Now this is a radical change from my matte, muted browns/cream/tan -- maybe it's the shimmer that's throwing me. Will use again hoping that I get use to it - if not back to the browns for me. BTW, I'm tanned MMM Brown/Brown - it does accentuate my eye color.

Lipstick -Cover Girl - Outlast in Ever Red-y
rated 5 of 5

Want a true red with no 'undertone'? This is it! No brown, no orange, no blue - just red. I love it for evening but also wear it at X-Mas time and when I am wearing red clothing. It does not budge when applied properly (very light hand with the color part) - and is great for holiday parties and all the cheek kissing that occurs. It can be drying so after removing (I use hair silicone and it slides right off), do use a lip moisturizer or balm.

Lipstick -Cover Girl - Outlast

I bought my first tube within a week of it hitting the shelves... this is an HG for me - yes it is drying if you don't use the gloss and it flakes if you use too much of the color (light, light hand required). It's great not to leave my 'mark' on every coffee cup I touch, it lasts thru meals (even Hamburgers and French Fries) and when it first came out I had constant questions about how I managed to keep my lipstick on. My DH loves the stuff -- no worries about leaving lip prints (we usually see each other 2-3 times/week for lunch). Check the CG site - they have the colors marked warm/cool/neutral on the site. The box colors and tube colors vary from what shows up.

Mascara -L'Oreal - Intensifique Mascara
rated 5 of 5

Have used this for about 2, if not 3 years - ever since L'Oreal introduced it. This is my HG mascara. Blackest Black is my shade (I'm an MMM with huge brown eyes). One of my customers was the regional department store rep for Lancome so I always got their promo stuff - this is like Defincils mascara only a lot cheaper. Too bad they moved her - LOL. (L'Oreal owns Lancome - BTW). I use 2 coats of this upper and lower both sides of my lashes and then use a coat of waterproof Blackest black over it.

Eye Makeup Remover -Nivea - Eye Make-Up Remover
rated 5 of 5

Takes off the eye makeup completely and even the Lipfinity/Outlast lipsticks. I wear 2 full coats (top and bottom - both sides) of L'Oreal Intensifique Mascara with another coat of waterproof over it. If I put this on my lashes and let it sit for about 10 seconds everything then wipes away easily. Same for the lips - just let it sit. I wear extended wear contacts so anything oily is a no-no.

Moisturizers -Olay - Regenerist Enhancing Lotion with UV protection
rated 4 of 5

Nice this about this is it's oil free -- great for summer on my combo skin. I like the pump - I dislike having to dig out a product (more ends up under my nails than on my face). My T-zone isn't shiny with this. Also using the face and eye serums and happy so far

Cleansers -Olay - Age Defying Daily Renewal Cleanser
rated 5 of 5
Sandy1958 7/5/2004 10:59:00 AM

Have been using this for about 10 days now. My skin is clear and I didn't get the 'monthy breakouts' that I normally get. Ut has salacylic acid in it (a BHA) so it does get down into the pores to clean them (and my T-zone looks a lot better). It may be too drying for someone with dry skin (mine is combo) because of the BHA. It takes off my makeup and I am a put it on and don't want to think about it makeup person (all stay-put stuff). I don't use this to take off eye makeup (and aoid using it on my eyes) - for that I use Nivea's eye makeup remover which even takes off the waterproof stuff w/o oil. So far I like it.

Scrubs -Suave - Cucumber Melon
rated 3 of 5
Sandy1958 7/5/2004 10:36:00 AM

This is not super emolient like most of the scrubs I like - however, I use this on the bikini area and don't have the bumps from shaving that normally occur there. Used it the next day after waxing (yes, I had bumps)and bye-bye bumps. I use the suave c/m bodywash on a poof so really don't need this as an extra exfolliator all over - but it did wonders for those bumps and you can't beat the price. I like the squeeze bottle rather than having to 'scoop' product.

Conditioner -Suave - AromaBenefits Cucumber & Melon Refreshing Conditioner
rated 4 of 5
Sandy1958 5/11/2004 2:44:00 PM

This was a 'trial' - I like the cumuber melon scent - but most shampoos/conditions are so heavily scented that I smell my hair not the c/m --- so I took a chance and tried the Suave line (Shampoo, Conditioner, Shower gel and lotion) for under $10. I am thriled! My hair is soft but not flat, and my color is intact. In the shower it smells heavenly and then throughout the day I will get a wiff of the smell and I perk right up. Good stuuf for $2 a bottle and under $10 for all of it.

Shampoo -Suave - AromaBenefits Cucumber & Melon Refreshing Shampoo
rated 4 of 5
Sandy1958 5/11/2004 2:39:00 PM

The smell is WONDERFUL - clean and crisp - and for once my shampoo/conditioner doesn't compete with my soap and lotion. I have color-treated (very gray naturally) hair and it is not stripping the color or is it dry.

Gels/Soaps -Suave - Cucumber Melon Body Wash
rated 5 of 5
Sandy1958 5/11/2004 2:34:00 PM

Bought this along with the Shampoo, Conditioner and Lotion and also a body spray by Body Fantasies. Suave says they have a body scrub but I couldn't find it so I substituted sea salt and some of the gel to make a scrub. I have always 'complained' about the heavily perfumed shampoos/conditioners competing with my cologne and saw this as a way (a very inexpensive way!) to solve the problem. I use it as a shave gel also and even though I'm a 40-something MMM - with the lotion I don't have a dryness problem in the summer (winter may be a different story) The smell is clean and refreshing - and the first night I used it my DH slept with his nose buried in my hair (I think he likes the smell - LOL) I would recommend the matching pieces (shampoo, conditioner, lotion) - and at under $10 for all of them you can't go wrong. I am actually thinking of putting these (and other scents) in my guest bath in pretty bottles - my guests can feel pampered and I haven't spent a fortune.

Leave my face smooth and soft - doesn't feel gritty like some scrubs and doesn't irritate. I GLOW when I use this.
