This is a great palette. But, my only gripe is that the color doesn't last all day. It'll rub off when you're eating and drinking, but reapplying is so easy that I don't mind. I LOVE the colors!! And, the vanilla scented gloss smells so delicious and gives a great shine!! Compared to other lip palettes, you get a lot of product for a low price!!! Compare this to Bath & Body Work's lip palette or Sally Henson--Sonia Kashuk has about 100x the product!! I love the silver case. It looks chic!
They don't work. Plus, after they dry and you're suppose to peel them off--it hurts!! It bonds to your skin so tightly that it's literally a pain to take off. I have to wet it in order to get the strip off or it'll feel like I'm taking the skin off with it. I've noticed a few blackheads on the strip, but it didn't take all the blackheads off my nose. Even after numerous tries, I haven't seen a significant difference. What a waste of money!
I must be in the minority b/c I don't find this cleanser to be effective at all. It leaves a weird film on my skin, which I don't like. I've tried other non-foaming cleansers, which I found to be more effective and CHEAPER than this one. Try Avon Ultra Cream Cleanser.
This is my favorite cleanser! I'm on my third bottle already. This is a NON-FOAMING CREAMY cleanser--perfect for people with dry and sensitive skin. Even though it doesn't lather, it cleans my face very well! Afterwards, it feels smooth, clean, but NOT tight. It's conveniently packaged in a pump container, so a couple of pumps is more than enough for my entire face. It's very gentle, so I can actually cleanse my eye area with it. The price is pretty cheap (about $10) or you can get it from eBay for about $6 per bottle. Definitely worth it!!
Lotions/ Creams -Avon - Moisture Therapy Dry Patch Stick
Samantha4g 2/10/2004 12:17:00 PM
This product is for EXTREMELY DRY SKIN. This is not a lotion, but a BALM. My skin is usually in perfect condition, but once winter hits, it gets extremely dry. I found this to be very effective in SPOT-TREATING certain areas. It's very emollient and softens dry patches really quick. It is STICKY, but a balm is suppose to be sticky. I don't recommend this if you're just looking for something to moisturize b/c it will be too much for you. The tube is very easy and neat to use.
Lotions/ Creams -Neutrogena - Body Oil with Sesame
Samantha4g 1/31/2004 12:36:00 PM
This is a great body oil!! I use it on a daily basis after showering. It absorbs quickly and has a pleasant scent. I was afraid to try this b/c I thought it would be like baby oil, but amazingly, it absorbs very well!!! And moisturizes too. I have noticed that in extreme cold temperatures like 10 degrees farenheit, it doesn't provide enough moisture, so I have to use another lotion, but I will still use this. Leaves a nice sheen on my skin.
I really like this product. For three tubes it's about $3.00, so it's definitely affordable. I take this with me whenever I go skiing in Vermont b/c the hard water and extremely cold temperatures wreaks havoc on my hair and scalp. This moisturizes really well!! But be careful when heating this up in a cup of water b/c it gets really hot! I almost burned my scalp a couple of times. Leaves my hair silky and my scalp moisturized. Very nice!
KEEP AWAY!!! I only used this once and it dryed the heck out of my skin. The skin of my forehead flaked so bad!! I NEVER had such an adverse reaction from a face mask before. Made my entire face tight and super dry. I actually had a few dry patches on my cheeks. NOT GOOD!!!!!!!!
This made my skin dry out and actually made my acne WORSE. I had problems with little bumps on my skin and constant flare-ups on my chin, so I bought this. Bad mistake!! Too much Benzoyl Peroxide. I don't have sensitive skin and I respond well to Benzoyl peroxide, so I was surprised that I had such negative results. The mask DRYED OUT my skin sooooooooooo bad! After the first application, the skin on my forehead flaked so bad! The Repairing Lotion is okay. I actually like it when I use it alone, but not good when using it together with the toner and face wash. The face wash was abrasive b/c of the beads of benzoyl peroxide. Plus, it's pretty expensive. I should have RETURNED it during the first month. A waste of money. I don't see what the hype is about.
Treatments -Matrix - Biolage - Fortifying Leave-In Treatment
Samantha4g 1/31/2004 12:15:00 PM
I really like this product. I used to be devoted to Neutrogena's Leave in conditioner, but I can't seem to find it anymore. Did they discontinue the line? Anyway, I blow dry my hair almost on a daily basis, so I need something to help protect my hair from the abuse. This is not a liquid!! It does spritz out, but it has consistency and is thicker than water. Almost like a watery gel kind of texture. I spritz it in my hand and then put it in my hair, so I can have control. Don't' use too much or else it'll weigh hair down--especially fine hair like mine.
This doesn't do much--just like the Hydrating Conditioner I wrote about. It's expensive. I would give it one lipstick, but it does make my hair nice and silky when I'm washing it. Unfortunately, it doesn't stay this way when I blow dry it. It does seem to work better than the Hydrating Conditioner, so I would recommend it INSTEAD of the Hydrating Conditioner otherwise steer clear. I recommend Herbal Essences conditioner--it's cheaper and does it's job!
Conditioner -Matrix - Biolage Ultra Hydrating Conditioning Balm
Samantha4g 1/31/2004 12:08:00 PM
I bought this product to repair my dry hair, but after extended use, I don't really see a significant difference. I mean, my hair DOES look softer than before I had used it, but nothing dramatic or mind-blowing. I would recommend the Conditioning Balm instead.
Moisturizers -Neutrogena - Neutrogena Moisture SPF 15
Samantha4g 1/31/2004 12:05:00 PM
I hate this product!! Very oily and heavy on the skin. I bought it and used it during the summer, but had to stop after 2 days b/c of the grease factor. I love that it had SPF, but what's the point when I'm not going to wear it anyway? KEEP AWAY!
Treatments (Eye) -Avon - ANEW PERFECT Eye Care Cream
Samantha4g 1/31/2004 12:02:00 PM
Didn't seem to do anything for my eye area. I bought this b/c my eye area was dry and I'm starting to see crow's feet, but it seemed to ENHANCE the crow's feet rather than diminish it. For some reason, it leaves a white-ish tint on my skin--some kind of residue. I like that it has SPF b/c the eye area is very delicate and shows the first signs of sun damage. I also liked that it was a thicker cream that other eye creams I've tried, but it does take a little effort to spread, which I didn't really like. Also, I found that the product would seep into my eyes during the day. This would get uncomfortable especially when I wear contact lenses. Very bad if you're prone to tearing! I'll finish up the container b/c I like the SPF factor, but I'm currently looking for something that provides more moisture and wrinkle benefits.
Treatments -Avon - Avon Luminosity Skin Brightening Complex
Samantha4g 1/31/2004 11:56:00 AM
I was surprised that this product did not smell like a chemical since most whitening products smell horrible b/c of the whitening agent. A definite plus! I liked that it had SPF, so it's perfect to wear during the day. It's actually a thick cream, but once you put it on, it spreads easily and actually absorbs easily. It does get a little greasy b/c of the SPF, but my face isn't oil slicked, so it's good. When you first put it on, it gives a nice "luminous" glow to the skin. I've been using it for a week now and I've noticed that my skin tone is slowly improving. Hopefully with extended us, I'll see dramatic results.
