this is my go-to eyeliner. i have blonde eyelashes, so this liner's creamy consistency makes it really easy to get in to the lash line and blend with the mascara. i also use this as a base underneath liquid eyeliner. the smudger does fall off often, so i just keep it off. i dont smudge my eyeliner often anyways(i like the sharp cat eye look). so only a 4 for packaging.
this eyeshadow is the first nars product i purchased, considering the price. (33 dollars for an eyeshadow? ouch) however i excused myself this one splurge as this color is unlike anything else i own, or have seen. it's really quite beautiful. use it sparingly as the pigment is very high. i suggest applying it thinly first, then slowly build up if you want a more striking night time look. it looks breathtaking with cool silver tones, or with a bold bright yellow.(im reminded of flowers when i see it paired with yellow. :) it is a daring shade as a smokey eye with silvers and blacks. the fallout is low, so that's a good thing. solid pressed color which in my opinion provides you with more control on how much you want to build up on your brush. some folks might take this as the shadow being dry, and not like it. even though i have nothing but good things to say about this little shadow, i would not purchase any other nars eyeshadows, simply because the price is just not applicable for my budget, and you can find dupes of their other colors. but do splurge on this one rare gem, you will enjoy it if you like surprising unexpected colors.
the most ADORABLE traincase i own to date! it's a soft shelled retro traincase, in a slightly sheened shell pink. it's kind of got a soft vinyl-fabric texture to the outside. while the inside is a slightly velvet feeling manilla color. the photo would make it seem much smaller than it really is. dont be fooled, this traincase can hold a good amount of make-up. however, due to it's lack of dividers or way to corrall smaller make-ups, i use this as my skin care kit. it's deep bottom compartment holds my taller skin care bottles that are just too cumbersome for the typical "tackle box" style traincases. the doll face logo does not detract at all from it's charm, and trust me, you will be complimented on it! it's soft, pink, femenine, and remeniscent of the 1960's. whats not to love!? as another reviewer mentioned, it's soft inner lining seems like it would be hard to clean, so make sure that whatever you put in it is sealed up tight! use a damp cloth to clean the outer shell. i only give it a 4 because of it's lack of dividers, and delicate lining is not practical for spills.
we use this at my spa as a part of our acne care facial. a teaspoon of baking soda to about 4 tablespoons of water. use it at home on your face, then apply warm towels for 6-10 minutes to really let it soak in and do it's work. i use it myself for when my cycle wrecks havoc on my T-zone. however, as some reviewers have mentioned, it can leave your skin dryer than normal, so it's imperative to follow up with a thick moisturizer. otherwise, your skin will counter-act the dryness by making more bacteria-clinging oil, and negating any progress you may have been doing by using it in the first place.
this lorac pallette is a little powdery, so i can see why an eye-primer is included with it. when used with a primer, these shadows are beautiful and have some pretty decent staying power. im not too crazy about the actual packaging, though. i was planning to add this to my make-up kit, however since it's not flat like the other eyeshadow pallettes, it's kind of the odd man out. it's not my favorite lorac item, but it didnt dissapoint. pick it up if you have a coupon, or if it goes on sale.
