Foundations -Unlisted Brand - Lucy Minerals Foundation

I'm happy to say that today was my first day wearing this foundation and I'm already loving it! I tried the OCC formula (Oil Control with Calcium Carbonate), and paired with OCC finishing powder, it kept my oiliness at bay miraculously well. I only had to blot ONCE during the day! I have a combination skin with an oily T-zone, some redness, my forehead currently breaking out, dry patches around my nose and mouth, but none of these was a problem when wearing the Lucy Minerals Foundation. I have yet to try the OCS formula but honestly, I can't imagine how it could be better than this one, haha. I had read numerous reviews before receiving my samples so I knew how to use the foundation. I applied it with my EcoTools retractable kabuki, starting with the tiniest amount and working it up from there. The foundation went on quite nicely (I had to buff like crazy, though), the consistency is very creamy and the coverage is great without looking cakey or unnatural. First it looked just nice, but about half an hour later my skin transformed into this beautiful, even, perfect thing. I really like it how the sample jars come with sifters! (Sifters are genius, I love sifters.) Shade-wise, I didn't find a perfect match. I did a full face with Creamy Olive but it was a bit ashy on me, so I'll try mixing it with some Creamy Bisque next. Definitely going to purchase a full-size jar once I figure out the right blend for my exact shade match. At $15, I think it's super cheap! Their shipping rates are very affordable, too, and my first order arrived in ten days which I think is very reasonable (I live in Finland). Hands down, this is my new number one favourite foundation.

Concealers -Urban Decay - 24/7 Concealer Pencil (all)

One of the best concealers out there for me! I have it in CIA (the lightest shade) but I just ordered another one in DEA as it is summer now and I'm not that pale anymore. This concealer is nice, creamy, pigmented, and covers very well. It tends to crease under eyes, though, and that's why I have to use it together with my Hourglass corrective concealer. Another thing I don't really like is the packaging, I do love the fact that it's a pencil but it's so huge, sharpening it is difficult and a lot of product goes to waste. Other than that, it's lovely.

Concealers -Hourglass - Hidden Corrective Concealer

I would like to start by saying that my undereye circles are probably among the worst ones this universe has ever witnessed. They're very dark, kind of greenish and grey and purple at the same time, and that's after a good night's sleep. It's impossible to cover them completely but Hourglass is doing the best job so far. I have it in Pearl which is a bit dark for me in winter when I'm pale, but right now the shade is perfect. I love this product. It's creamy and easy to apply, pigmented but not very thick. The result is very natural, doesn't cake or crease. This concealer is also good for hiding small imperfections around my nose where most concealers start sliding after a couple of hours but Hourglass stays... stays... stays... The staying power is crazy good, really. I also like the packaging, it's very beautiful and elegant, and I like applying stick concealers more than those in a jar. I use this together with UD 24/7 Concealer Pencil for the best results, but I'd definitely choose Hourglass if I had to live with only one concealer for the rest of my life. I don't even feel like complaining about the price, it's really not that bad if you're as desperate as I. Go buy it, it's lovely!

Liquid -Maybelline - Fit Me Foundation

I'm sorry to have to write a review as negative as this... But this is probably the worst foundation I've ever used. It wasn't any good for me. I'm 21, combination skin, fair-light with strong yellow/golden undertones. I bought this in winter when I was at my palest, I was very excited to hear that they have a pale, warm shade. I got 110 and the shade was terribly off, it was weird and greyish. It was light enough though, 120 would've been too dark. The consistency was very thin, didn't cover a thing and didn't settle on my skin, bad staying power and bad oil control, even when blotted carefully. I'm writing in past tense because I gave up on the foundation after trying it a couple of times. Complete waste of money, at least it wasn't expensive... :(

Powder -Alima - Satin Matte Mineral Foundation

I'm 21, Finnish, have a combination skin, fair-light with strong yellow/golden undertones. This mineral foundation has been my go-to for two, three years now :) I wear Warm 1 (Warm 2 in summer). I don't use traditional foundations that much as I often have trouble finding a shade that is both light and yellow enough, and I remember how surprised I was when Alima's Golden turned to be TOO yellow for me! Warm is softer, it's perfect for me. I'm giving Alima foundation four lippies out of five. It's great, gives my skin this healthy glow and the coverage is decent. Oil control could be better, though, and I'm really sorry that I can't wear this in winter, that's when I get very dry and this foundation starts caking up on me. Other than that, it's the best mineral foundation I've every used. And the jar is so so beautiful!

Liquid -Lancome - Teint Idole Ultra 24h

I waited for a long time before buying TIU24h since I feared it wouldn't be any good and it's filthy expensive in this part of the world. However, finally curiosity got the better of me and I went to get this foundation in 02. They don't carry that many shades here in Finland and I was surprised to not be matched to the lightest shade available. My skintone is fair-light and has strong yellow/golden undertones, around NC20 in MAC for most of the year. I love the texture, it's nice and smooth and applies beautifully. Coverage is medium-ish, evens out my skin tone (I have some redness around my nose) and doesn't accentuate dry patches. The scent is relatively strong, doesn't bother me but you might want to be careful if your skin is very sensitive. The price is not affordable but not unbearable either since a little drop of this foundation goes a long way. About the staying power... It's good, probably better than any other liquid foundation I've ever used. I wore TIU24h for 12 hours today, no problems at all, no caking, nothing. My t-zone started getting somewhat oily after a couple of hours of wear and I had to powder several times during the day, but then again, that's what I have to do with every foundation nowadays. (I really should get a good oil control primer.) What can I say? I'm not madly in love but very, very satisfied anyway, satisfied enough to write my first review here! I'll continue my search for the perfect foundation but for the time being I'm happy with this one. **EDIT 06/16/12: Turns out that this foundation isn't that good for me after all... Made me break out, and the shade is more off than I first thought. :( I had to change the rating from four lippies to three.
