Eyeliner -Milani - Liquif'eye Metallic eye liner pencil -black
rated 5 of 5

I will keep purchasing this eyeliner forever! It seriously just kicks the backside of every other eyeliner I have ever used (I haven't used any high-end ones, nor do I ever plan to, since I go through eyeliner wayy too quickly). I generally don't expect eyeliners to be super long-lasting, since I have Hayfever allergy prone eyes that get watery. But even with that, if I layer is several times, I find I get a full work day wear out of it. It does not smudge at all (except the days where my eyes are really bad with allergies and rubbing), but after a full day, it will have faded ever so slightly. My main reason for liking this is how creamy it is! I HATE with a passion chalky eyeliner that you have to keep on rubbing on your waterline to get it to look anywhere near black, but this one! WOWW!! It goes on black and creamy with one swipe! I seriously do not feel the need to buy high end eyeliners at all! We don't have Milani in Australia, so I buy this online, which isn't ecocomical, since I almost always end up going on an unnecessary shopping spree of other things I don't need.

Eye Shadow -Urban Decay - YDK eyeshadow
rated 1 of 5
Sabsumaiya 5/18/2013 8:24:00 PM

I really wanted to like this colour, because when I saw swatches, it really did look beautiful. But it just does not show up on my eyelids AT ALL!! Okay, granted I do have discoloured eyelids, but I don't think that is the problem, since I can usually get most other colours to show up. I just find that it's more glitter and less colour, so by the time I feel like I've picked up enough product to get a decent application, there is just a fallout mess. I have this in my Naked 2 palette, and it is the one colour I have tried time and time again to use, but every single time, it's just been the same glittery mess. I am dark skinned, NC42 for reference, so maybe the colour itself isn't for my skin colour to start with, but the fact that I cannot for the lift of me get it to show up?? Seriously, big disappointment.

Fragrances -Hugo Boss - Boss Orange by Hugo Boss
rated 5 of 5

LOVE IT!! I think I love it more because it has sentimental, my husband bought it for me while we were dating, and I used it down to every last drop. There is just something about the scent that no other fragrance compares to. I'm waiting to repurchase it again, probably will wait until it's on sale again.

Makeup Brushes -Real Techniques by Samantha Chapman - Buffing Brush
rated 4 of 5

This brush is amazing! Sigma is as expensive as I've gone in terms of makeup brushes, so I don't have all that much to compare this to, but it certainly kicks the backside of my Sigma F80. It's not streaky at all, and applies beautifully. Super soft, and blendable, and doesn't drink up foundation. But as awesome as this is, I find nothing compares to the humble fingers when it comes to blending foundation.

Treatments -Alberto Vo5 - Hot Oil Treatment
rated 4 of 5
Sabsumaiya 3/2/2013 8:33:00 PM

I'm surprised at the average ratings for this product! I think this was the one product that made me believe there was hope for my dead hair after all!! I used to use it a while ago and then stopped, and then suddenly repurchased a couple of years ago, and man am I glad I did! I oil my hair once a week (as in soak my hair, root to ends with coconut, blackseed and neem oil) and use this once a week. Okay, I think I am giving it a little too much credit, but it does make my hair really soft! I think it's important to get it reasonably hot before (not to the point where you'll cook your hair), but leave it in a cup of hot water (not boiling!) for a good few minutes. I find it a good quick fix, for the days where I'm not able to do my coconut oil.

Masks -Dermalogica - MultiVitamin Power Recovery Masque
rated 3 of 5
Sabsumaiya 3/2/2013 5:19:00 PM

Okay, so I've used it a few times, and I honestly haven't been able to tell the difference. Maybe I haven't used it often enough. I've barely just used it once a month, so maybe this is why. After reading the rave reviews, I think I expected to see more drastic results immediately. I think will have to restart using it more regularly. I have very dry, dull looking, sun damaged skin, so I'm thinking it can only benefit my skin. Will update after a couple of months. Hoping it does wonders. Can anyone tell me how long before I might see results (in terms of radiance)?. I would be a once-a-week user.

Masks -Queen Helene - Mint Julep Masque
rated 5 of 5
Sabsumaiya 3/2/2013 4:27:00 PM

Amazing!! I absolutely LOVE how it just cleans every little bit of gunk out of my pores! I was quite hesitant before trying it, because I have dry skin, and I've read that this is NOT for those with dry skin. But dry skin still needs to be cleaned and this does the job perfectly!!! I won't lie and say it isn't drying, but as if anyone would be stupid enough to use this and not moisturise afterwards! You can actually SEE how much cleaner your skin is afterwards! I don't get blackheads, or wear makeup all that often, or even spend long periods of time outdoors for my skn to be exposed to excessive amounts of dirt and yuckiness, but even still, I can tell the difference after using it...it's as though there was an invisible layer of yuckiness all along. The only mask I'll ever use!!

Eyeliner -Essence - Gel Eyeliner
rated 5 of 5
Sabsumaiya 3/1/2013 6:47:00 PM

Wow!! I'm so glad to see the good reviews for this, because it deserves it! For the price it is seriously amazing!! SOOO black! I bought a $3 brush from an art store to apply, and it applies amazingly. I have yet to master the art of perfect looking eye liner though, but obviously this isn't to blame for my lack of skill. It's really creamy, and just applies so beautifully. It is the first gel liner I've bought, but I've tried the Maybelline one, and it is nowhere near as creamy or black. And I feel absolutely no need or temptation to buy the Bobbi Brown or Mac one, especially not at ridiculous Australian retain prices. The fact that this isn't overpriced is such a bonus, because even brands like Maybelline and Covergirl are overpriced in Australia (compared to US prices), so I'm impressed that Essence has been able to maintain reasonable prices here. Recommend this 100%.

Moisturizers -Unlisted Brand - Argan oil
rated 5 of 5
Sabsumaiya 1/16/2013 3:30:00 AM

I used this for a few months, but recently after an overseas trip, I was forced to leave it, and other skin care items behind as my luggage was over weight. In all honesty, I couldn't tell all that much of a difference while using it, but for the last two weeks, man!!! I can tell!! No matter how much moisturiser I use, my skin just feels THIRSTY! I didn't realise just how hydrating this is. I really can't pinpoint the EXACT effect it has on my skin, but it definitely does something. I won't even say it makes my skin glow, because my skin never glows, but something just looks like it's missing. I've just ordered another bottle, and anxiously awaiting to start using again. I 100% believe in using oils on my face now, I just get the feeling that that is what is best absorbed into the skin. LOVE IT!! =D

Blush -Revlon - Photoready Cream Blush
rated 4 of 5

I have the colour Coral Reef. It's over $AU25!! =O Aussie retailers, come on!! I bought it off eBay for less than $15!! I love how easy it is to apply. So creamy, and I almost always use too much at first, but it's so easy to blend out. It gives the perfect flush. Unfortunately, not long-lasting at all.

Highlighters -TheBalm - Mary-Lou Manizer
rated 4 of 5

I was never really a highlighter person, because I felt it never really made a difference, but this has completely converted me. Now highlighter is like my FAVOURITE part of makeup! It's perfect! I have tanned skin (Mac NC42), and it gives the perfect glow. I know this would work for lighter skin tones too though. LOVE IT!!

Liquid -NARS - Sheer Glow Foundation
rated 4 of 5
Sabsumaiya 1/4/2013 5:40:00 AM

LOVE!!!!! When I first tried it, I was kind of hesitant because I felt like it had practically no coverage. But I now LOVE it! The colour matches my skin perfectly, most foundations that are a "match" make me look darker, but this one just makes me look bright! I think the coverage is perfect, and definitely buildable. It looks SOOO natural. I just LOVE it! I don't find it glowy at all, but then I have super dry skin, so maybe I don't notice the glowiness. AMAZING!!

Cleansers -Neutrogena - Oil-Free Acne Stress Control Power - Cream Wash
rated 4 of 5
Sabsumaiya 6/22/2012 7:16:00 AM

I like it. I break out at a particular time during the month, (yes, THAT time). Normally it's like about 4-5 on my forehead. I have been using this for a couple of months now roughly, and last month, I didn't break out before "that" happened. I did break out once, one above my eyebrow, but that's it. I think it might be working. I like the creamy consistency, feels really nice when I cleanse. And it's not drying at all, I was really hesitant to try an "acne" wash, for fear that it would be drying. Overall, a good basic cleanser. If you have severe acne, it won't clear up anything, nor prevent it. But if you break out occassionally, ESPECIALLY at a particular time, I think it works. My friend uses it, who also has dry-acne prone skin, and she said it helps her as well.

Eye Primer -Too Faced - Shadow Insurance, Anti-Crease Eye Shadow Primer
rated 3 of 5
Sabsumaiya 6/22/2012 7:06:00 AM

Makes my eyelids look ashy, I know, I must be crazy. I have extremely discoloured eyelids, so I have to apply concealer before any shadow or primer, and when I apply this over concealer, it just has this ashy feeling. Maybe that's why? Anyone know if I might have any luck applying it UNDER concealer? Might try that. But overall, it does help eyeshadow staying power, but I get the same effect from my NYX HD Eyeshadow Base. I don't have very oily eyelids to start with, because my skin is dry, but my eyelids, for some weird reason do get oilier than the rest of my skin. Anyway, I'll probably try Urban Decay next. I love Makeupalley! =D

Eye Shadow -Urban Decay - Naked Palette
rated 4 of 5
Sabsumaiya 6/22/2012 5:58:00 AM

FINALLY bought it! =D Had to buy it online, because couldn't find it in Australian stores. It is good, but I think cheaper brands such as Wet'n'Wild have shadows that compare. But the combination of colours is amazing. I wouldn't need to take any other shadows when I travel. My favourites are Toasted, and Smog.
