This is a great gloss- looks great with casual or formal dress on my MAC NC35 skin. Nice level of gloss and shimmer, comfortable on, no fragrance.

Wanted to LOVE this- didn't mean to buy it but I guess the SA slipped in an extra sale. This is a nice YLBB but not THAT much better on my MAC NC35 skin. I do like the applicator as it doesn't goo all over the top of the tube and applicator wand like Mac LipGlass and Nars Lip Gloss do.

Moisturizers -Elizabeth Arden - Let There Be Light Radiant Skin Lotion

YUCK! Bought this in the impulse isle at Ross. I am Mac NC32 and this left a clownish pink sheen all over my face. Plus, there is an overbearing perfume and I get a weird metallic taste every time (now the third and last) I use it.

Shampoo -Frederic Fekkai - GLOSS Glossing Shampoo
rated 3 of 5

I had written a glowing review as well as an edit then.... the shampoo changed. I've seen color variations with lip gloss (Nars) and lipstick (Lancome) in the past but never such a drastic change in shampoo formula. Also, I notice a number of months ago Fekkai is no longer available at Sephora but in stock at Wal-Mart...

Misc Beauty Tools -Unlisted Brand - Nuface Microcurrent Facial Toning System

I used this faithfully for a week and saw absolutely no results. Put it down for a few days then used it again every other day and two weeks later- Eureka- my cheeks and jawline look noticeably better contoured. Mind you, I've been self-conscious of my slightly chubby cheeks since I was a teen and agonize over the slight droop in my jawline that no-one else seems to be aware of (or they're too nice to acknowledge it). Anyway, I let the device beep at least three times in each spot rather than gliding over an area then going over it again. I haven't concentrated use on the brow area much but will update. By way of "proof": My boyfriend was asked to give my birthday (1946) to a female healthcare provider and she tried to correct him by saying, "nineteen SIXTY-seven, right?" **EDIT 9/6/12*** So I used this faithfully for about 3 weeks then decided to loan it to a friend thinking I'd demand it back after a week or so... it's been months now and my face is still looking pretty darned good though I think I'll try another several sessions soon. Maybe for some the muscle re-setting is longer-lasting????

Masks -Unlisted Brand - Yogurt Mask
rated 5 of 5

Amazing. I actually used plain (no honey) lowfat organic yogurt. I figured that because lactic acid is a very mild beta-hydroxy there would be absolutely no effect on the bumpiness I had on my chin for weeks but what the heck. Smooshed some on all over then towelled off with a microfiber cloth, smooshed more on and let it sit for about 20 minutes. Rinsed off and my bumps were gone and my skin felt amazing. I should note I'm a NON-fan of the aspirin mask and was totally skeptical of this!

Shampoo -Garnier - Fructis Shampoo - Dry & Damaged

I've been holding out on re-buying Fekkai Glossing because I got spoiled by the per-ounce pricing of the 32 oz bottles when they were available. Alas it's been a fruitless wait so I picked this up at the CVS and I have to say it's not too far afield from the Glossing in cleansing and moisturizing, at about 1/0 the price. Am totally perplexed by the bad reviews here and will update.

Tinted Moisturizer -Tarte - Amazonian Clay BB Tinted Mosturizer (Smooth Operator)
rated 4 of 5
SZQueue 4/8/2011 1:22:00 PM

Not as moisturizing as I'd like around the upper cheek area, but that's par for the course for most moisturizers for me. It IS making me a little paranoid that wrinkles will be made more prominent there so I'll try it mixed with something richer next time and see. There is definitely a little luminescence and more coverage with this product (and seemingly less titanium dioxide, as it doesn't give an ashy a finish as Honest Face). I'm not in love with this product but will play around with it for a while since I'm finally at 44 yrs somewhat interested in evening out skintone.

Lotions/ Creams -Perricone - Super Body Toning Serum with Olive
rated 5 of 5
SZQueue 4/8/2011 1:13:00 PM

This is a cautious 5 lippie, as it is for an off-label use, as they say. I've tried every toning/firming/anticellulite product out there to help with my monthly pooch and the best I could get previously was a Psychological lift from l'Occitane's now-discontinued Grape gel (though I must say daily cal-mag keeps the pooch almost completely at bay the rest of the month). Anyhoo, I was battling a bit of depression over my big cheeks and slightly droopy jaw line by surfing the Sephora site and saw this. Ladies, two days after starting use my cheeks were quite noticeably less droopy and I looked years younger. So now I'm smooshing this stuff on over my eys and all over my cheeks/jaw before moisturizer. Will update if I decide to try this on my water retention pooch.

Lotions/ Creams -Bliss Labs - Fat Girl Sleep
rated 2 of 5
SZQueue 4/8/2011 12:58:00 PM

Suckered myself into trying this even after seeing NO results with FatGirlSlim. I'm not fat (5'0", 97 lbs) but I do retain a little water for a few days a month and even with daily use for weeks at a time I saw no difference. What really got me mad is that for a lark I tried using Perricone's Super Toning Body serum on my cheeks and that product DID seem to make a difference there, unlike FGS, which I had also tried for this purpose. Never going near another Bliss product again.

Crème -MAC - Mineralize Foundation
rated 5 of 5
SZQueue 3/26/2011 1:40:00 PM

I'm not a foundation fan. I have purchased and used no more than 5 times Nars, Shisheido, Chanel, Prescriptives (in my youth) etc, in liquid, stick, powder, crème to powder, you name it. This is the first one that I actually use at least a couple of times a week. Its very moist, has moderate but buildable coverage and doesn't leave that TiO2 ashiness on my NC32 skin. Also doesn't settle into pores like the Nars powder fdtn that everyone else seems to love. Since I'm far too lazy have even tried to use a liquid foundation for a decade I can't speak to naturalness of the finish (though the Armani liquid applied by an SA looked like I'd been sprayed with pancake mix), but this Mineralize, originally purchased to cover an acne catastrophe, looks really natural.

Lip Treatments -Fusion Beauty - LipFusion Conditioning Stick
rated 4 of 5
SZQueue 2/11/2011 1:04:00 PM

So far so good. Got this in Buff, which in my NC35 skin is a brownish peach. Kind of a YLBB, though not THAT much a better color. Berry is a little too blue but looks great at night, oddly. Bitten WOULD be a fabulous color except that it is so sheer it simply does not show on me. I wish it had a little shimmer. Goes on nicely, is buildable. Will update. OKAY UPDATE*** I saw that others had experienced dryness, especially around the borders of their lips, and I did too, the first night I used it. Scuffed off the flakes, which were, in fact kind of off-putting but woke up this morning withe flakes gone and the vertical lines on my lips drastically reduced. Also, I feel like I'm getting a pout back in the center of my lower lip. WOW! I have no idea what in this product would cause the exfoliation but I can't wait to get back to the office and put this on again. ** New Update: I don't use this as often as I should because of the very icky chemical sweet taste from the spf.

Tinted Moisturizer -Cosmedicine - Honest Face [DISCONTINUED]
rated 3 of 5
SZQueue 9/22/2010 8:20:00 PM

2.5 lippies? I dabbed on a half-pea sized amount last night over serum and Honest Face felt really good going on and didn't leave me feeling dry hours later. On the other hand, I put some on at 5pm over a very light layer from this morning and I look ashy and shiny. Is it there just a whole lotta TiO2 in there? Bronzing power tamed the ashiness a bit, but only a bit. No discernible coverage other than the ashiness. **EDIT 9/25/10: I don't do well with Titanium dioxide-containing products, and yes his has some undisclosed percentage. Those who object to TiO2's tendency to free radical production upon sun exposure can make their evaluation on that. Coverage, which I didn't see the first time, I have to say is actually moderate, even with a thin layer. Just not a great product to smoosh on and go.

Masks -Pangea Organics - Facial Mask - Japanese Matcha Tea with Acai & Goji Berry
rated 5 of 5
SZQueue 9/22/2010 12:08:00 AM

I never rate on samples but i got this with my Sephora order and decided to try it. Strange, gritty texture, VERY earthy smell, and then a hit of alcohol. Since the sample packet had no instructions etc I really wasn't sure what the stuff is supposed to do or what I was supposed to do with it. The S.O. asked if I'd just been rolling around in the mud. I was ready to hate this stuff and couldn't wait longer than 10 minutes to take it off. So I rinse and towel off and WOW my face feels softer than with just about any peel/mask I've used, but really MOIST as well. Not a big fan of masks but this is amazing. Will update with next use!

Shampoo -Frederic Fekkai - Technician® Color Care Shampoo
rated 3 of 5
SZQueue 7/15/2010 6:44:00 PM

Glossing is my favorite shampoo... Should have tried a sample of Technician. First, I dislike the pink color; second, the fragrance comes across to me a bubblegum. Third, it's not all that different from every other high-end drugstore shampoo (forgive the oxymoron). Not very moisturizing- I HAVE to use conditioner after. Meh.
