Moisturizers -Ole Henriksen - Nurture Me - Soothing Creme
SY1004 8/27/2006 6:54:00 PM
This is like Clinique Moisture Surge but with higher potency vitamins and antioxidants infused. Oilier skin types might want to stay away and use the Vitamin Balancing Creme instead. I have combination and sensitive on my cheeks. This doesn't bother it, since I think a lot of the ingredients are natural. Give it a try, the scent is pleasant and the texture is great, as with most of Ole's products.
I agree with the last post, it did infact change the texture of my hair! i had fine thin hair that was colored and highlighted. A stylist recommended it and I began using this two months ago, every day. Though I did notice a difference in my hair for the first month, my hair became abit stronger, thicker and less breakage, I can't stand the feeling of my hair now. Maybe it's the consistent use of proteins, that makes your hair feel a bit "hard". My hair texture is coarse and I want to find a product that can provide softness.
The only thing that bothers me is that after a few days, the product has a tendency to build up and look abit uneven. That's why exfoliation is key. You need to scrub pretty well in advance. The smell is pleasant, slightly citrus and sweet. This is my second favorite to use as a maintainence for my tan. Jergen's is my favorite since it works! And also it doesn't take as long to soak in as this one. However, I applaude Dove for adding a fresh scent to it. Good job!
This is great. You have to apply it with a powder brush, the results is so much better. I use this with Strobe and I look natural and flawless every single time. For the price, this is a great product. I have this in medium, and also, get the studio fix +. It's a great way to set the powder. It makes the face dewy but not shiny. When I use the blot powder in the winter, I def. spray fix+ for some additional moisture! You can use it before this powder.
My summer staple but it's expensive. However you pay for the quality. It gives you a soft focus like glow. The shimmer is not noticeable and it brightens your complexion. I use this as a staple during the summer along with the Blot Powder. My skin looks amazing. The pearl shimmer is very subtle and reduces the appearances of pores and lines. This cream has replaced Magic by Prescriptives. I haven't had bad experiences with breakouts either and I've used this product for 9 days consecutively.
Shampoo -John Frieda - Radiant Red Anti-Fade Shampoo
SY1004 5/1/2005 11:41:00 AM
This seems to be working pretty well. I love all John Frieda products. The Brilliant Brunette worked very well for me so I'm pretty sure the Radiant Red will work just as well. I use the shampoo and conditioner in conjunction with the Anti-Fade styling creme. I have dark red highlights.
Highlighters -Revlon - Skinlights Face Illuminator Lotion [DISCONTINUED]
SY1004 3/24/2005 1:09:00 AM
I love this, this is a great cheap alternative to those face illuminators that you purchase at Sephoras for like $20.00. Now, if you're worried about looking like a greasy pan, then don't glob this product on as if it's lotion. It's not. I mix a dime size of my Warmth 03- with a mattifying moisturizer. Then, just sweep some champaigne or light shimmery beige eyeshadow on your cheekbones. I think you get a streaky* look if you just add the product to your skin. Unless, your skin has the exact same pigmentation as the product. A def. stable in my makeup routine, followed with Nars Laguna around my face and Nars Orgasm on the apples of my cheeks! Some mascara, shimmery beige eyeshadow and pink lipgloss. SIMPLE-GLOWING-BEAUTIFUL!!!
This a HG product for people with breakouts. I had a breakout from using my new Chanel Foundation on my cheeks and forehead. First of all, I am combo/sensitive, but I'm not prone to breakouts at all. So I went to my dermatologist and she said cleanse your skin with cetaphil and don't use the foundation. In one week, my skin cleared up entirely from just using this product. I didn't wear any face makeup during that time either. This is perfect for the morning, however I think I'll need a cleansing cloth (Oil of Olay Express) to remove any traces of makeup first before using this.
Styling Products -Frederic Fekkai - Glossing Cream with Olive Oil
SY1004 10/18/2004 12:52:00 AM
Awesome!!! It makes my hair so silky and shiny! I have fine hair that's been over processed. I've tried Kiehl's Creme with Silk Groom, but it weighed my hair down. It was suited for people with thicker hair. However, I find that the Glossing Cream is good for all hair types. I use a pea size and it's enough for my long hair. So it def. lasts a long time for me!
Mally Roncal is my favorite celebrity make up artist, and she created this palette to meet the demands of her clients. I have to say that I love the blush because it's a cheaper version of Nars Orgasim and the highliter. The eyeshadows are mediocre. I don't think they're pigmented that well. However the colors are versatile, like the previous post said. I hope they can just sell the highlighter and blush individually. It's a good deal.
Fragrances -Elizabeth Arden - Curious by Britney Spears
SY1004 10/10/2004 5:38:00 PM
Smells girly and flirty. I got the large size because I love the packaging. There's white florals which gives it a feminine scent. Too bad it's endorsed by Britney. I've received alot of compliments. When people ask me what I'm wearing, I tell them that it was my own blend.
Gels/Soaps -Philosophy - Chocolate Ice Cream 3-in-1
SY1004 9/2/2004 2:33:00 PM
There's a better smelling one at Sephora, called Mixed Emotion. This one is alright. Don't get it near your hair! I can't possibly imagine using this product as a shampoo. Other than that, its going to last you a long time.
Lotions/ Creams -Jaqua Girls - Sinfully Rich Body Butter in Marshmallow Cocoa
SY1004 9/2/2004 2:14:00 PM
Affordable and feels/smells so goood that I wanna lick myself!
This is a great mask! Don't worry about irritating your skin with this mask, I was def. concerned, but this mask is ext. gentle as with most masks. This is for all skin types. At first when you're putting it on, it was hard to distribute, but just keep blending and you'll end up with the softest skin and a bright complexion.
At first, I was put off by the small container of the mask. I got this for ten dollars in New York ( the new Lush store on 34th St. Herald Sq.) However, I thought heck, I have so much problems before trying to find a mask suitable for my skin, and since this is basically natural and organic, I didn't think my skin would break out from it as it might to other brands. I love the smell of this, but it's overdrying if you use it more than 2x a week. I have combination skin. The BB seaweed mask can be used on all skin types, and I can use that more frequently.
