Lipstick -Chanel - Rouge Coco Shine - Boy
SWIM95NAVY 2/16/2011 7:57:00 PM
Oh, how I lemmed this one for a LONG time...and it is almost a total hit for me. I love moist, sheer MLBB lippies so lets just start out saying that. Of the other Chanel formulas I really didn't care for Rouge Coco- settled in my fine lines, a bit too much frositness and not enough shine, plus the colors all leaned orange on me. Aqualumieres-did like several of those but again, a bit too much frostiness for me in Bondi, Phi Phi, and the other one I own. My HG lippie to date is Chante Lip Chic in Tea Rose, fyi. On with the review- Case-typical Chanel. Classy looking, a nice click. Gold top with white Chanel crossed "C"s. A bit more slender but not nearly as slender and long as MAC Slimshines. Formula-no dragging on lips at all, this slips on with no effort. I could see this being very easy to apply w no mirror. Super light weight. A slight scent which didn't bother me after application, and I am extremely scent sensitive. Feels light, you can't feel it on your lips at all. Tiny teeny microshimmer that gives off a look of moistness not frostiness. Not sheer, it does have a hint of opacity to it. Not nearly as opaque as the Bobbi Brown Lipsheers (which weren't sheer on me at all). My lips aren't dry after wearing Boy, but they also don't feel super moist. I have yet to find any lippie that does that. But, I guess you could say this is the most moisturizing in that it is the least drying, if that makes sense. Durability- terrible. I didn't expect it to be long lasting at all and it wasn't. Without eating I got about 1. 5 hours on lips. This is definately a lippie you will apply all night over and over. Color-Boy on my pigmented lips is a light rosy pink...definately more pink than rose. I would say it is neutral to slightly cool. There are no strong violet or blue undertones in this pink but I also don't see any of the warm undertones or peachy pink that others have reported. Honestly, it is barely noticable on my pigmented lips. I need its slightly deeper sister and I would be in heaven. Overall, I am sure I will buy this in other colors because I like the formula but I won't repurchase Boy because it isn't a perfect color match for me.

Lipstick -Chanel - Rouge Coco in Perle 02
SWIM95NAVY 10/14/2010 2:15:00 PM
Overall I am a fan of most Chanel products and was excited to try these lippies. I own Madamoiselle, Bois de Iles, Beige Feline and Pearl. I think Pearl is my favorite Packaging: Super, classy, simple yet it works. Traditional Chanel black tube with a nice click. Hasn't opened accidently in my purse yet. Color: Soft suble shimmer, hint of shine but not moist looking, definately not matte, beigey light rose. On my pigmented lips it is a YLBB look. Wearability: Comfortable on the lips, I don't really notice the faint rose scent after a minute, I get about 2 hours of wear before I would reapply. Benefit of this lippie is that you can make it pinker (Waterlily gloss), Peachier (Seashell gloss), or nude browner (Unity gloss) so it is very versatile. I don't find it very moisturizing like others have said, but it is also not drying on lips. For example...I find Chante lipglosses moisturizing on me, I find BB Creamy lip color and all MAC lipsticks drying on me. ME==dark highlighted blond, blue eyes, nc25

Jar package=Lame for the shower Smell=awful and it lingers Effectiveness= on me, terrible! I have fine, normal, straight hair, hilighted blond every 3 months. Was looking for a weekly deep conditioner. Left it on hair for approx 10 min then rinsed out. My hair is dry and brittle now! It has never felt this bad. Not only is this not moisturizing, it is actually damaging. Terrible product and hope to gosh Ulta will take it back.

Lips -Bobbi Brown - Bobbi Brown Treatment Lip Shine spf 15 in Pink Raspberry
SWIM95NAVY 4/25/2010 6:57:00 PM
I waited for months for this to come out. Why? Because I have had a terrible problem recently with spf lipsticks. LM Hydratint left me with a terrible red rash around mouth, as did Neutro Moisture Shine lip sheer. Sadly, even though I loved the color Pink Raspberry in the BB Creamy lip color formula...that, too, broke me out in a rash! I was able to wear the other BB formulas with no problem (metallic, regular lipstick, and glosses). Was hoping this new product would NOT break me out and I am glad to report it didn't. Was looking for an spf lipstck was hoping for sheer juicy colors. I didn't quite get that with the BB Treatment Lip Shine spf 15...but what I did get, I do like a lot. Price=$22 U.S. Packaging= Black BB color, long sleek tube, similar to MAC Slimshines Formula= Octinoxate for ss, it is a chemical sunscreen and at 7% it is not a FAB ss product but it is a touch of ss, better than nothing Claims to be super moisturizing- It is better in that catagory than 95% of all lipsticks I have tried with the exception of Chantecaile. Every other "moisturizing" lippie leaves my lips dry. This doesn't moisturize, but at least it doesn't dry them out. They stay pretty much as dry or as moist as they were before I put it on. Feel- Doesn't feel at all greasey like a balm would. Doesn't feel heavy. It feels a bit more present on your lips though, than my beloved Chante. It is not sheer at all, it is more like a lipstick than a balm or stain. Color- Pink Raspberry. Love it. It is the same shade as the Bobbi Brown Tinted Balm in the same name, although that is just a bit more sheer. A neutral to cool rosey pink with hints of blue undertones and ever so slight shimmer. You can't really see the shimmer it just helps give the lipstick a satiny moist look. I tried Rose(or Rosey?) as well and it is a nice "starter" Red. Brownish rosey red. Very pretty. A better Fall color though, imo. The Nectarine color, which I was so excited for, went straight to orange on me though...not the peachy look I was hoping for. I will be getting more of these!

Lipstick -Chantecaille - Lip Chic
SWIM95NAVY 5/8/2009 1:25:00 PM
The exterior packaging is rather cheap feeling, looks like recycled purple cardboard. Hey, I love recycling but if your exterir packagin is going to look so cheap, maybe you could drop the $30 price a buck or two. Actually lip chic tube is very nicely packaged. Graphite shiny blackish grey. Cool looking. Formula-the only MOISTURIZING lipstick I have ever worn. I have worn every type from MAC/LM/BB/and Chanel and of all the formulas of all those brands Lip Chic is actually moisturizing. Sheer but with good pigment. Feels a bit thick on lips but looks light and sheer when applied. Tea Rose color---exactly what I expected and hoped for. MLB much Better. Sheer yet has color. Looks very good with nothing else on my face, which was exactly the lippie I was looking for. Something that this stay at home mom could throw on when I run out to the grocery store and look perked up and rested. This cool rose (do you all agree it is a cool rose as opposed to a brown rose??) really brings out the blue/green in my eyes too. I think I am going to be very happy with it. For those that have BB Rose Petal Creamy...the colors are very very similar with Tea Rose being a tiny bit cooler. BB has a thicker creamier formula though with a tad more pigment. Close enough to be dupes overall though. Yes, would def buy again.

Lipstick -Christian Dior - Dior Addict High Shine lipstick in Beige-a-Porter
SWIM95NAVY 4/26/2009 3:25:00 PM
No Beige about it! I have no idea why they named it as they did. If there is any beige in there it is just a hint. Mostly its a soft pinky rose with an irridescent look (no big glitter or sparkle, just a subtle shimmer). Maybe there is a hint of beige which keeps it on the neutral side. Pretty wear everywhere lippie....work, going out, weekend. Love the formula so much I find myself rubbing my lips together just to feel the softness. Got it at Sephora. Tube is glamorous but a bit hard to store because of the color indicated at the one end so you have to store it upside down...does that make sense. One of the few formulas/colors I would ever repurchase. ME- NW20ish, blond hair, blue eyes, pigmented lips.

Lips -Neutrogena - MoistureShine Soothing LipSheers in Cool Nectar
SWIM95NAVY 5/24/2007 2:19:00 PM
BROKE ME OUT IN A TERRIBLE RASH ON LIPS!!!! I wend to the doctors because I had tons of little bump blisters on my lips 24 hours after using this products. She said it was a reaction to the new lippie. So I tested it on my wrist to be sure and within 24 hours my wrist was totally broken out in little bumps!!! I did love the color though and the packaging so I was really bummed that I reacted it. It feels a bit greasy on the lips and lasted for about 2 hours without eating anything. It would probably have to be reapplied frequently. Great color though.

Conditioner -Kerastase - Lait Vital Proteine
SWIM95NAVY 12/13/2005 5:34:00 PM
Lait Vital...had big hopes with all the Kerastase hype, but, I wouldn't purchase again. The packaging is fine. The price is expensive $24, if I remember correctly. The smell is so-so, lightly flowery, not bad but I don't love it. I have shoulder length, fine, highlighted hair with slight damage on the ends and this did not give me the moisture I was looking for. It didn't leave an above average amount of shine, either. For the price, I expected better. I have had better results from Pureology Hydrate and Volume line. And so far, am happier with the Redken All Soft Conditioner for half the price.

Moisturizers -Estee Lauder - Future Perfect anti wrinkle
SWIM95NAVY 3/4/2005 11:55:00 PM
Great product overall. My skin has never felt softer. I am 31 with slight signs of aging. After three weeks of using the creme for normal/combination my skin is super soft, the scent is pleasant, it blends in very easily, makeup goes on smooth but I don't look 20! Seriously, I don't know about its anti aging abilities yet, but my skin tone is more even. Only problem is cost-$57!!! I will finish this bottle and see if after 4-5 months I see any aging improvements.

Lipstick -Chanel - Aqualumiere Lipstick #59 - Bermuda
SWIM95NAVY 1/18/2005 2:59:00 AM
Love the formula. SPF 15, sheer, no smell or taste. I don't know why the review above calls it brown. It is not at all brown. Most definately a pink. Not Barbie bright pink though. Just a beautiful ruby-pink. I have blond hair/blue eyes and was looking for a pink to wear with BeBop blush and I have found it. The price is way too expensive though. $23!!!!

Moisturizers -Chanel - Age Delay time-fighting rejuvenation lotion SPF 15 [DISCONTINUED]
SWIM95NAVY 1/12/2005 1:19:00 PM
I used this on my 31 yr old normal to dry skin and I did not find it to be moisturizing enough. Initially, I thought I liked it..smell, texture, packaging were all great and my skin did appear instantly "better". However, after about a week I noticed my eyes were sensitive putting my contacts in and I my foundation was not going on as smoothly (skin was slightly drier than usual). I don't know whether the irritation is from the lotion or the night cream (which I also purchased at the same time). I used this for about 4 weeks before I decided to stop using both products. My eyes immediatlely felt better. For the price I don't see much difference from my Olay Total Effects with SPF cream so I probably won't purchase it again.

Conditioner -Pureology - Hydrate Conditioner
SWIM95NAVY 10/5/2004 5:25:00 PM
Great conditioner. I love the minty smell. I don't really get the tingle a lot of other people get though. A small amount goes a long way and I can actually comb my hair after using it. (Unusual for my hair type). I have light brown hair with highlights and lowlights and the color appears to be holding well. I had to take points away for the packaging (long skinny bottle neck) and the price $20 is a bit pricey. I like the Hydrate products better than my Kerastase Satin 2 and Lait Protene Vital. Will definately buy again.

Shampoo -Pureology - Pureology Hydrate Shampoo
SWIM95NAVY 10/5/2004 5:22:00 PM
I really like this product. I have light brown hair that has highlights and lowlights in blond shades. The smell is great and a small amount goes a long way. I use a nickel size drop for my thick shoulder length hair. I rub it around in my hands to lather first. My hair feels clean and I think the color is staying just fine (supposed to be guarenteed not to fade). Cons: the bottle has a long skinny neck which I don't care for and the price is a bit high $21. Overall I will buy it again. Great with the hydrate conditioner, too.

Treatments -Advanced Skin Technology - Green Cream by AST
SWIM95NAVY 6/22/2004 12:26:00 PM
Big rave so far. I am a 30 yr old starting to show signs of aging-slightly larger poors, some fine lines when I smile, and losing some glow. I purschased a sample of this on the advice of this board and am glad I did. I have used it for three weeks and already a notice a difference. Small old acne scares are faded, the glow is back and some fine lines are disappearing. Green Cream is a green gel that should be used slowly at first (every third or fourth day) even if you don't have sensitive skin. For about a week I had slight peeling but nothing too terrible that moisturizer couldn't fix. I will definately repurchase the full size soon. Also, I started using MD Forte cleanser the week before so that may be partially responsible for the skin improvement as well. UPDATE-----(2 months later) STILL LOVE IT, SKIN CONTINUES TO IMPROVE. Poors are smaller, less overall redness. Will continue to use

Is it just me or did this dry anyone's lips out? I used for 1 month and am not impressed. Price is great, though and it does give a temporary nice natural gloss to your lips with a tint of rosy color but didn't moisturize my lips at all. Wouldn't buy again.EDIT: tried again for two weeks...still no luck. Dries me out.
