I'm sorry, this color is just horrible. Very "Jersey Shore".

Lip Treatments -Smith's Rosebud Salve - Brambleberry Rose lip balm

I just want to start off saying that I am obsessed with this stuff! I don't know what it is about this, but I can do my whole face of makeup and just use this on my lips and it looks amazing! It doesn't feel greasy to me like the original rosebud salve. It feels more creamy and luxurious to me. I love the scent too, it makes me think of berry and honey, with a little chocolate thrown in. I also like the pinky berry color it is in the tin, but I don't see much color when I put it on. Basically, I think everyone should buy this. I bought it from an ebay seller for 5.25, so I don't think its outrageously priced. Also, here is my review for the original rosebud salve: I started out with the original rosebud salve a few years ago. Tried it on my lips and wasn’t wowed by it, so it sat on my nightstand for a while. At some point, I got the idea to use it on my nose when it was irritated by my constant nose-blowing during a cold. Let’s just say I cannot get through a cold without this. I put it all around my nostrils when they start to hurt and turn red, and within minutes they feel better and the redness goes away. There is also minimal peeling. I don’t love the scent of the original that much, but I keep it just for my colds anyway. I also don’t like the overly-shiny look it gives my lips, and the consistency seems to contribute to the lack of staying power. However, it did melt down at one point when I 1st got it, so I put it in the freezer to harden it back up. That could be part of the problem. It also works well to keep your lips moist because you have to breath out of your mouth while your nose is stuffed up.

Will not buy again just because I recently purchased Brambleberry and Mocha Rose, and I love the scents and consistency of both of those. (Will review in their respective areas.)

I tried this after my Secret Platinum in my favorite scent Kuku Coco Butter (so sad, love that scent) stopped working for me. I don't understand how this suddenly happens, but it happened to several members of my family too (and we don't all wear the same type, either). I don't know if they changed the formula, or if you build up a tolerance to it. But I was faithful to Secret for probably 15 years! Anyway, I tried this on a whim, after hearing that the best one was the one with the girl in the black dress on it (ultra clear, I think?). It was on sale, two for $7. I got one Sexy Intrigue and one Ultra Clear. I decided to try Sexy Intrigue 1st, and I love it! Feels and smells so good, and most importantly it works! PS: the 1st night I got them, I put both types on -- one on each armpit. The next morning, the Sexy Intrigue washed right off in the shower with little effort. The Ultra Clear was a different story. That sort of weirds me out a little.

Treatments -OPI - Nail Envy

I usually use Sally Hansen Hard as Nails in the Gold bottle (I think its Diamond Hardener or something like that). I am used to just using that as a clear coat on my natural nails and it works really well to harden them and keep them from breaking. I ran out of the SH, and I was at the beauty supply store and figured I'd try Nail Envy, and boy am I sorry. My nails were pretty long, and then I used this and now I've broken 4 out of 10 nails within a week. They don't just break, they start bending! And I'm talking both bend down and bend back. So my nails have bend ridges all over the ends from bending so much. Its terrible looking, and feeling. I also tried applying 3 coats, and that didn't help at all.

Fragrances -Estee Lauder - Tom Ford Black Orchid
SKYYStheLimit 2/20/2009 10:14:00 PM
I tried this perfume out of curiousity. I heard it was quite nasty, but I was still curious. I went to Sephora & decided to try it out. I sprayed it and the Black Orchid Voile de Fleur on each wrist and sniffed. They were both admittedly vile, and I was disappointed. So I went on my merry way, after spraying a little makeup remover on my wrists to try to get rid of the stench. I checked out a few more stores, and then as I got into my car a wonderful little breeze of a scent hit me. I wasn't sure where it was coming from, so I just kind of pushed the thought out of my mind. Then my friend also commented on 'what smelled so good?' I hadn't even really thought about the fact that my wrist must still smell like black orchid(s). But at some point during the ride, I must have gotten my hand near my face enough to realize that's where the scent was coming from. Needless to say, we both marvelled about how good the perfume smelled on me. So I decided to go back and use a gift cert to buy it the Black Orchid. I was hoping and praying it was the Black Orchid and not the Black Orchid Voile de Fleur that I wanted, because I couldnt really be sure as they didn't have the Voile de Fleur tester out when I went back. So, I went for it and bought the Black Orchid. I sprayed a tiny bit on, and was repelled immediately. I must have bought the wrong one... damn! Then, within 30 minutes, I realized it was the RIGHT one, and I couldn't stop sniffing myself. Damn this perfume has a wicked dry down! Really, its my new signature scent. I've had a few friends tell me I smell good, and I just smile. From now on, I'm not telling anyone what I am wearing... my friends have a habit of asking me what perfume I'm wearing and then buying the same fragrance. So when we go out we smell like a troupe of french whores. This is MY scent, get your own!

Eye Shadow -Kat Von D - Beethoven palette
SKYYStheLimit 11/19/2008 12:39:00 AM
Love this! I have to say that despite my love for my UD Urban Ammo palette, I had to put it away for this one. Not to say I don't use it, but I took it out of my "to go" makeup bag. these colors are all very wearable, and can be applied with a light or heavy hand (or wet, for that matter) for different looks. With that said, I'm not so wild about the light pinkish-purple color. It reminds me of some cheap Maybelline color from the 80's. But I think even this color is workable as a base color, with a darker color in the crease or v, and with the light cream color as a brow bone highlighter. Its just not one you want to wear on its own, in my opinion. Overall, I am very impressed with this palette, and I'd like to buy the new Holiday palette (Metal Orchestra), and any others that she comes out with. I'm not a big fan of the ludwig palette, because I think its a little too boring for me. But I'm sure people who like neutrals will love it!

Lip Gloss -Bare Escentuals - Buxom Babes Diamond Lips
SKYYStheLimit 11/19/2008 12:31:00 AM
I love these glosses, despite the new applicator (brush vs. the old doe foot). The shimmer is perfect for the holidays, and can carry you through into the spring and summer. I like the minty tingle to them, and love the scent. I had one full size tube (Bianca) that came from a QVC kit and that one has this scent too (love that color too). I personally like the scent, as it kinda reminds me of irish cream and goes well with the tingle. I have to politely disagree with the poster before me, as the two darker shades in this set have golden sparkles, and the nude/champagne and the pink glosses have the silvery/multicolored sparkle to them. I have brown hair, grey-green eyes, and I find that these have just enough color and shimmer for me. However, I do use bronzer and blush to pep up my winter complexion (and so I don't look like a ghost). In my opinion, these glosses have enough sparkle without being too over the top and "teen" looking for me. Although i do like sparkle and shimmer in general. I guess if you don't like sparkle, you probably wouldn't want to buy "Diamond Lips" glosses. i personally like the tube these come in. They are thick enough that I can feel them in my purse and distinguish between all the lipglasses and other random glosses I have. I think the packaging is fun and chic, just like most all the other BE items.

This is a wonderful dupe to Pink Sugar. I own the actual Pink Sugar perfume, but I seldom buy the lotions that go with my scents. I was in Target and saw the cute packaging (they have really nice gift sets too, which are wonderful for gift giving) and smelled it, and low and behold: Pink Sugar on the cheap! I picked up the travel sized lotion and body spray ($1.74 each, I think) to keep in my desk at work, in case I forget perfume that day. They'd be great for your car too, except if you live somewhere hot. Also nice sized for your purse. I'd highly recommend this to anyone, especially teens (since the fragrance seems popular with them). Much better than any other drug store fragrance, and the lotion is very moisturizing, but not greasy.

Polishes -Chanel - Pink Satin
SKYYStheLimit 2/14/2008 7:06:00 PM
Ok, yes I am cheap and I bought a tester of this color off ebay. However, my Pink Satin came and it has ABSOLUTELY NO GLITTER in it at all. Its just a sheer pearly pink. Not sure what the deal with it is, and if anyone knows, feel free to PM me. But yeah, I could get this color from any line. Nothing special. I WANT MY GLITTER! UPDATE: OK! Sorry, I figured out the problem... I have ROSE SATIN. I feel dumb now.

Moisturizers -DDF - DDF Dramatic Radiance TRF Cream
SKYYStheLimit 1/22/2008 5:51:00 PM
I really wanted to love this moisturizer... considering how much i spent on it. However after I started using it, it didn't seem to really do much for me. I expected it to work some kind of moisturizing miracle. Or maybe my skin is just beyond hope? Anyway, I figured I'd stick with it and hope that with repeated use my skin would begin to show some "dramatic radiance". Alas, it did not. But one thing it did show was an enormous amount of cystic acne... we are talking submarine zits from hell, folks. The kind that teenagers have nightmares about, and I am 34 years old (I typically only get blemishes around my TOTM, and that is infrequent). At one point, I literally had the two biggest zits of my entire life on my cheekbone (why not under the bangs???). My sister saw me and recoiled in horror, asking me what was wrong with my face. I tried telling her (and myself) it was my new hairspray, the change in the weather, that I needed to change my pillowcase... I dunno! And yet I continued getting the zits one (or several) after the other, until I just got fed up and stopped using it one day. That day was approx a week and a half ago, and what do you know, I have not one zit on my face. I have about half the moisturizer left however...

Polishes -Chanel - Le Vernis Nail Colour in Vamp #18
SKYYStheLimit 4/26/2007 4:44:00 PM
I like the original version of Vamp better, but this one is nice too. Just different. I've had it on for almost a week, and there is minimal chipping. The grown out parts at the bottom of my nail look worse than the chipping around the edges. I think the key is to use 3 coats. Takes a while to dry, but it's worth it. I got this polish w/ Noir Ceramic on ebay, brand new for $20, so I think I got a great deal. Full price, I would not purchase again.
