Foundations -Cover Girl - Covergirl and Olay Tone Rehab 2 in 1 Foundation
rated 4 of 5

I had the opportunity to try this product as a BzzAgent. I normally prefer to use powder foundation, specifically MAC Studio Fix, mainly because I can apply it easily in my usual morning rush. However, I was actually quite impressed with this product. I like the pump packaging, makes it very easy to not use too much and it is hygenic. I also find this foundation gives me natural coverage, not too heavy, which is just what I like. The foundation matches my skin tone perfectly as well. The one downside for me is that this does not work well to control shine, as I have combo/oily skin, though shine control is not something this product claims as a benefit. The price is quite reasonable, considering I feel it performs at the same level as much higher priced liquid foundations. I also feel this lasts through the day just as well as any other expensive foundation I have used. Overall, this foundation performed considerably better than I expected. I would repurchase, though I see myself using this more for special occasion when I want a bit more polished look rather than day to day work/running errands.

Hair Styling Tools -Unlisted Brand - Solia Tourmaline Ceramic Ion Flat Iron (1-1/4")
rated 3 of 5

I purchased this flat iron from Folica to replace my 5 year old CHI. My hair is moderately thick and coarse with curls/waves. I thought it would be nice to adjust the temperature setting, but in reality, I still need the highest heat setting to get the job done. The iron heats up nice and quick. I find that I need to pass over each section of hair at least 2-3 times to get the job done. It also leaves my hair very flat. I went back to a CHI recently, and love how I need only one pass through my hair for it to be smooth, straight, and frizz free, and with out losing any of the body like I do with the Solia iron. I'm back to a CHI, I would spend the few extra dollars over the Solia.

Polishes -OPI - You Don't Know Jacques!

I work at beauty store/salon, and saw so many people purchase this color, and couldn't fathom why it was selling so well, I thought it was the ugliest color and that it looked like a pebble! I decided to give this color a shot when getting a manicure, figuring if I didn't like it, I could simply remove it. It turned out beautifully! It's a great taupe shade . Depending on my clothing color, this shade looks either brownn or gray. It's perfect for fall. This shade as definitely grown on me! I can't believe the number of compliments I receive while wearing this YDKJ!!!!!

Eye Shadow -Christian Dior - 5 Colour Eyeshadow - Spring Bouquet
rated 5 of 5

I love this new e/s quint!!!! The two darker colors scared me at first, but I quickly got over it. These colors are wonderful for spring, so many different ways to wear them. The compact is much sturdier than ones from Chanel. The colors blend beautifully and wear well through the day. Always high quaility from Dior. The colors in this quint are beautiful. Very flattering. I have pale skin, blue/gray eyes, and light blonde hair. I would re-purchase this, however, I know it will last me a very long time! I don't think the price is so bad. $52 and you get 5 shadows, that's better than buying single shadows from any other reputable cosmetic line. Plus, you know the colors will go together beautifully. I highly reccomend this product.

Blush -Chanel - Irreelle Blush in Incognito

I'm surprised this blush hasn't gotten better reviews. I really love it, and I'm so glad I purchased it, despite the hefty $40 price tag. I haven't had any problems with the blush hardening, but maybe I haven't been using it long enough. This is a great bronzy-rose color, reminds me of "Blushed" from Bobbi Brown, but this is much much better. Not too pinky or orangey, or too much shimmer either. Gives me a great "glow." I'm cool toned, fair skin with light blonde hair and blue eyes. This blush goes on nice and sheer, I think it would be very hard to mess this one up! I like this the best of all the sheer blushes from Chanel.

Lip Gloss -Christian Dior - Addict Lip Gloss - A Treat of Lollipops - 271
rated 5 of 5
SHuck 11/6/2007 7:14:00 PM

I LOVE THIS GLOSS!!! I am surprised to see other reviews haven't been so great. The packaging is luxe. I love the natural pinky peach shade and it gives great shine. This instantly "steps up" my look no matter what. Love the texture, not at all sticky, even better then Chanel glosses. Beautiful and natural color, great wear. Love this! I beleive this gloss may not be available anymore, as Dior recently reformulated and repackaged. The chart on Sephora.com states the new name for this gloss is "A Stitch of Brown." I tried this on in the store to see if it was the same, and it is so far from what Lollipops was!!! I think the most comprable new shade is "Organdi Pink." And true to what other reviewers noted, I am a cool toned blonde.

Powder -Chanel - Double Perfection Compact Teint Poudre Mat Eclat [DISCONTINUED]
rated 4 of 5
SHuck 11/6/2007 6:44:00 PM

This is a nice foundation, oil free with SPF. It gives me great coverage - often times I can go with out any concealer (which is why I like this much more than MAC Studio Fix, for which I was faithfully using for the past four years.) This blends easily, and prevents shine. it is fairly long wearing and I do not need to touch up often throughout the day. The price is less than desirable at around $50, but as the saying goes, "you get what you pay for." I have tried many powder foundations out there (MAC, Stila, Body Shop, BE, Urban Decay and Biotherm to name a few) The compact is OK, it comes with a cute little velvet envelope/pouch, but it's only been three weeks and the mirror has broken and I haven't even dropped this! I find Dior packaging much more luxe. All in all, a very good product that actually delivers. I think my search for a great powder foundation has ended!!!

Skincare - Face -Noxzema - 60 Second Cleansing Whip

This cleanser is horrible! Left an awful residue on my face, I felt like my hands were sticking to my face as I tried to rinse this off. This is going right in the trash!!!
