Moisturizers -Ponds - Dry Skin Cream

Used to use this product as a moisturizer and loved it, but had forgotten about it for a while. I read somewhere online about mixing castor oil and moisturizer together for the oil cleaning method and that is what I have been doing for several months now. I bought castor oil (unscented and tasteless) which is supposed to be drying, and mixed it about half and half with this cream. I smear it all over my face in the morning, wipe off with half a Bounty select-a-size paper towl sheet, and then clean the residue with Clean and Clear Astringent. I remove my m/u at night with the same routine. My face has been so clear, and so soft, I love it. Try it.

Eye Primer -Urban Decay - Eyeshadow Primer Potion - Sin

Love this product, and will buy again, but hate, hate, hate the packaging. I purchased a new UDPP in Sin and used it for several weeks, just touching my little finger to the stick of the wand and applying very sparingly. I use it more for eye liner pencil than for shadow. After several weeks when I had cleaned up all the residue on the stick of the wand, I pulled out the wand and used the product on the end, as intended. When I pushed it back in the product oozed out of a seam at the bottom the container. I had purchased the product in a different city, so I could not return it. I wrote to Customer Services at UD and have not even had the courtesy of a reply. They only refer to returns of purchases from their website. This is not a return because I decided I did not like the product, it is defective. I could repot, but this should not be happening, especially so soon. Anyway, I find that the product dries out quickly when I repot, as I did with my regular UDPP. Very disappointed with the company. Expected they would at least ask me to send it back so they could see the defect with a view to making sure it doesn't happen again.

Powder -Maybelline - Mineral Power Powder Foundation

Don't understand how the others describe this as luminous. I find it matte, i.e. flat. Looks like a corpse. So I mixed it with a translucent luminous powder (TruBlend Naturally Luminous Loose Powder). When I ran out of that I tried Physician's Formula Powder Palette Mineral Glow Pearls in Translucent Pearl, and I loved the look. I am now using (for summer, at least) Mineral Power Powder under Physician's Formula Powder Palette Mineral Glow Pearls in Light Bronze Pearl. These "Pearls" bring the other stuff alive. I mix the powders in the TruBlend container as it is bigger, and easier to get into. I must say, that I am a renegade, as I apply the Mineral Power Powder Foundation with a cosmetic wedge and not a brush. There, I said it. In this way I have more control over what goes on my face, and what flies all over the place. Lately I have been using this powder on the t-zone only, and covering it and the rest of my face with the Pearls using the brush supplied. It's not great, but certainly good enough for my purposes. I love this look, with a bit of blush, and a bit of eye m/u. It feels totally natural, like you're wearing nothing, and, I think, is a healthy look. At first I thought at my age I shouldn't be using this luminous stuff, but it's not glitter, just a healthy glow. Will keep using until my several purchases of this product are used up, or I think I have found something better and absolutely have to try it.

Gels/Soaps -Dove - Beauty Bar

Have used the unscented sensitive skin version of this bar and liked it very much. Recently, though, I have had problems with an itchy rash on my face (most likely eczema) which doesn't repond well to the cream my dr. gave me. I stopped using this soap and switched to Spectrojel a few days ago, and I am almost nearly clear. I like the smell and the soft skin resulting from this soap when I use it in the shower, so I will probably purchase again. Maybe this crazy sensitive skin on my face is just temporary. I can wish, can't I?

Shampoo -Unlisted Brand - My Honey Child Banana Creme Scalp Cleanser

Try Neutrogena Healthy Scalp. It's a bit expensive for a small bottle, but does a great job of cleaning the scalp.

Eyeliner -Almay - Intense I-Color in Black Pearl

I have hazel eyes but found the Black Pearl too intense for my liking. I us e the pencil meant for green eyes and love the raisin color on me. It is subtle and flattering. It goes on easy but doesn't last all day. That's why I use Urban Decay Primer Potion and no problem with staying power. I recently found a few of these at Big Lots for $2-3 and bought several. Don't know why they were there, they're not D/C
