I wanted to purchase this foundation because it was really talked about and mainly had only positive reviews. I'm also a fan of sheer foundations because I don't need anything too heavy for my skin. Unfortunately for us in the UK, we only had the 'cool' shades released around my skin tone and I don't know why that is because I think that 'yellow' tones are generally more flattering especially for medium/olive skin tones. I didn't realise this until I purchased the foundation and it really shows. I'm about nc35 and went for true beige 190 for the spring/summer season! It has really pink undertones and although the finish is nice, the colour dulls my skin and makes my skin look a little ?dirty. I can't quite pinpoint the effect this has but nonetheless it's not good. I feel it's a bit unfair to give this foundation a low rating for a wrong shade but revlon should really have released a better shade selection in the UK.
I bought this product just for contouring as I was looking for a cream product. I was not able to swatch it as its not available in store so after some research and looking at online swatches, I went ahead and purchased it. I'm really glad that I did as this product is perfect for contouring - its a really great shade for my nc30-35 skin tone. It also blends beautifully and can be sheered out or built up depending on your preference. I'm really pleased that I bought this as I was considering the Tom Ford shade and illuminate or the Hourglass bronze and illuminate. Both of these also seem like good products but I have enough highlighters and didn't want any more of those, so the Nars cap vert is perfect for those just looking for a matte cream bronzer for contouring or bronzing!
I got this nail polish in a mini-set that was part of the Swiss collection in 2010. To be honest, I bought the set mainly for the dark silvery shade which is lovely in its own right. Having tried this, it is just as lust worthy! It is a beautiful teal colour that leans more to the blue side. The formula isn't perfect but still good enough for five lippies - after two coats there is still some mild visible nail line (VNL). It is also slightly streaky but unless you look at it under bright light, this is not too noticeable. The colour is just amazing - a lovely glossy finish that is perfect for sunny autumn days or to cheer yourself up on dark winter days. I highly recommend!
I agree with the other reviewers - this foundation is amazing and nothing like I've tried. I still love my Chanel vitalumiere aqua in b40 but this is great in a completely different way. I found my perfect shade (6.5) - GA recommends that you put in on with fingertips but I'm just used to using brushes and I've stuck to that. It is difficult to explain how it's different to other foundations but I will give it a go. This just melts into the skin (like a moisturiser would) and leaves the pigment behind giving amazing coverage. It feels like you're not wearing anything but the effect is beautiful and airbrushed. Yes, it expensive but totally worth it. I recommend getting a sample and trying it out for yourself.
This foundation is amazing - it is lightweight but gives great coverage. I am shade b40 and usually around nc30-35 in mac. It also has SPF15 which is a great addition. I have slightly uneven skin and this is great for anyone who wants a sheer light finish. I wouldn't recommend this for anyone who wants heavy coverage as I don't think this would give that. It is expensive but totally worth it if you want an airbrushed finish (also looks great in photos) - I usually use a foundation brush to apply this and smooth over with a buffing brush. It comes in a small rectangular bottle which would be handy to carry around. The only problem I can think of is that you wouldn't be able to tell if it is running out but for me that's not a significant issue.
Highlighters -NARS - Highlighting Blush Powder in Albatross

This is one of the best highlighters I've come across. It is an off White colour in the pan but completely tranforms when you put in on the skin. It turns into a pale yellow gold colour that looks subtle but beautiful. It can be used on top of cheekbones, under the brow and anywhere else that needs highlighting. It adds a sheen to the skin that looks like it comes from within. It is expensive but totally worth it!!
I know this blush has been reviewed to death but I thought I'd put my two cents in. I have avoided this blush even though I love Nars blushes generally because it just did not appeal to me. However I got a smaller version of this for free when I paid for a Nars masterclass. This confirmed my initial thoughts and I'm glad I did not pay any money for this. It is described as peachy pink with shimmer which seems about right. It is quite coral but has more shimmer than colour in it. I don't know how this would look good on anyone as the more you try to get colour, it just ends up more shiny and shimmery. Its not terrible but I have so many better blushes than this that I can't imagine using up this small sample. If you want a nicer coral shimmer blush, I would recommend Chanel reflex or bobbi brown coral blush.
Im a huge fan of Nars blushes but I never really thought about this blush as I felt it would only suit fair or pale complexions the best. I was inspired after I saw temptalia's review and realised how beautiful it looked on her skin tone. So I decided to buy it and was so impressed. It look so great on my nc30-35 skin. It applies beautifully and goes on soft but buildable. In the pan, its soft baby pink with silver sparkles but the sparkles don't transfer on to the face. I can't say enough good things about this blush and it will suit a lot more skin tones that first impressions.
Tinted Moisturizer -NARS - Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer

I really like this TM. It is exactly what I was looking for as you can use it in the summer as a lightweight product. It provides sun protection against UVA and UVB which is great. I also like it as even if you tan a little you can continue to use it and it wont look odd. I am around nc30-35 skin tone and I use the shade st moritz which is prefect for me when I'm pale and when I'm tanned. It also gives a radiance to the skin as advertised. Am really happy with this and If I run out I would repurchase.
This lipstick is gorgeous. Described by mac as a mid tone yellow pink which is true but I feel it has a hint of peach as its not a true pink. It is so wearable and imparts a lovely colour. This is probably my all time favourite mac lipstick of all time and I only just discovered it recently. I think this would best suit warm toned light-medium skin tones!
This blush is amazing if you have the right technique. I used this when I went to the Nars masterclass as everyone raves about it and I wanted to try it for myself. I believe that you could use this with a stippling brush but in the masterclass, I used the Nars yachiyo brush - I dusted the product lightly with the brush and then tapped it onto the palm to push some of the product inside the brush and then lightly 'kiss' the cheek after. The result is gorgeous and not something you can achieve with other blushes as it gives you a truly flushed result. It would suit all skin tones including light olive like mine. I thoroughly recommend!
This trio has a really lovely combination of eyeshadow colours. I used it how Francois Nars did for the summer campaign - mixing the cool silver and icy peach colour together for the lid and the matte peach colour for the crease. On the lower lash line, I used the sliver colour and the result was really unusual but beautiful. I think this is something that would look great on a number of skin tones and would work really well in the daytime. The only problem I have is that the pigmentation could have been slightly better and hence I haven't given it 5 stars but otherwise I love it.
Lipstick -NARS - Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Dolce Vita

This is the most beautiful shade of colour and complements the matte finish so well. On me it looks like a muted reddish colour with a hint of brown. It is truly an unusual colour. I was also worried that having really dry lips this finish would not be suited to me but I was pleasantly surprised that it did not dry out my lips at all and stayed in place for a few hours. My only gripe would be the packaging as other people have commented - you do lose some product when sharpening which is a shame as it’s not cheap. I would definitely repurchase again if it ran out!!
This stuff is amazing and really does work. It is pricey but gives your hair a beautiful finish without making it greasy. Hair feels soft to touch and it also reduces frizz. The smell is very distinctive - all their products have similar smell and I really love it. I would definitely repurchase again but I think it will last a long time!
I have been purchasing these products for a few years and this has worked brilliantly for me. I used to get spots every month and I have really noticed a difference since using these. Now I will get one maybe every 6-12 months which I can live with. I cannot recommend it highly enough. It may not work for everyone but I think it is worth trying!
