I'm so in love with all the bare shades of l/s! Naturally Eccentric is no exception. It's a very pale & creamy milky beige color and, surprisingly enough, looks amazing when worn over Subculter l/l against my NW15 skin tone! However I did have to take one mark off because it's LE and it will be very difficult to find a replacement.
Finlly something I can use in place of Expensivo when I run out :) I love the Lustre formulas, and I'm really not a lipstick kind of girl, I tend to prefer glosses. Maybe it's the texture, consistancy, & overall look? Whatever it is, it really works for me. High Tea is a beautiful soft beige pink pearl on my pigmented lips, not too pale for my PPP skin.
Elle has to be one of the most beautiful glosses ever made! It's deffinitelly a misleading color in the tube, but once applied creates a wet, sexy naked pearl look. Why I waited this long to purchase?? I have no idea, but I need a backup ASAP!
This is one of those colors where appearences are certainlly deceiving! I never thought I would buy this one b/c I always thought it looked muddy in the display, then the MA tried it on me and I was hooked! I'm quicklly discovering all sorts of different combinations just so I can use it every day. Or even by itself as a simple wash :) I love Vex!
I was so looking forward to trying out the Lustrevision collection when it came out, the colors are absolutlly gorgeous. However when I finally did get around to it I found the texture to be too powdery and loose. Very disapointing.
I agree with ziebam. I deffinitelly prefer UD's Mary Jane & Green Goddess to MAC's Chillblue & Lustreleaf. The texture is much nicer and there is alot less glitter getting everywhere.
Apparentlly I lucked out finding this color at the MAC store today ;) I really do love it, but I think I still prefer Juxt more.
WOW Olivia142's review is a tough one to follow... :) I think Persepolis has to be one of the most stunning duos NARS has ever created. The new formula is fantastic, very silky and pigmented. And the colors applied are exactly as they appear in the pans.
I LOVE this duo! But there is one problem. Because I have slightly deep-set eyes the forest green just doesn't do, it makes my eyes look even more deep-set. So unfortunatelly I don't think that I will be keeping it just for the one color that does work.
The pink-gold color of Gleam is really beautiful, but the texture of this lustre shadow, not so much. Especially after purchasing Say, Yeah (velux pearl), which seems exactlly the same, except that it applies much smoother. I will deffinitelly be exchanging this for somethign that I need more.
I think Smashbox brushes are my hands-down favorite (next to NARS of course). I finally got around to getting this one for shadow application and I'm very happy with the results I get with using it.
I've had this particular brush for maybe 2 years and I never really liked it for anything. I've found myself using my fingers over picking this one up. #213 just felt too flimsy. Long story short: I took it back to Nordstrom finally (I love them!) and picked up the Smashbox 04, which I knew I should have bought in the first place.
I bought this color as part of a 'look' that I've created for a wedding that I'm doing, and it's going to be perfect! I had originally been considering Expensive pink, Paradisco, and Gleam for this, however I found that Say Yeah is the perfect happy medium between the four color choices. It has the smoothest texture and is not too glittery. I just can't have that stuff falling in my bride's eyes! I also compaired it with the Melon pigment and Say Yeah seems to have just a touch more pink than gold.
This duo is a longtime favorite of mine that I've just received in a swap (many thanks to bbvd4023!). The colors are very deeply pigmented but blend out very easily. I've been pairing Cleo with M.A.C.'s Steamy on the inner part of the lid to brighten it up, and it looks gorgeous!
This gloss is so cute and reminds me of gummie bears :) I just received it in a swap. It really is a kiwi green color in the tube with tiny gold sparkles, but once on my lips (which are already very rosey) the gloss made them even deeper! No need for a liner here, the staying power of Kiwi Juice (like all Lancome glosses) is fantastic. If only it weren't LE and already gone in the stores!
