I wanted this product for sooo long because I've heard such great things about it. I use this as a finishing spray. I really don't think that this is worth around $28 CAN. Sure it makes my skin looks dewy and fresh but only for like 5 minutes until i'm out the door where the windy air comes in contact with my face and dries it up anyway. I only use 2-3 spritz. If I spray more, I can feel the weight of the water on my face which is unsettling. I sprayed it on my brush and applied eyeshadow with this and it does make the colors have more depth, but I get the same result using plain water. I guess the good thing about this product is the packaging, and that it fixes a powdery look. All in all, this hype was a miss for me. :(

Eyeliner -E.L.F. - Waterproof Eyeliner Pen
rated 2 of 5
RunawayGirl 4/14/2013 7:08:00 PM

Dries very quickly. Smudges all the way down to the bottom of my eyes after 3 hours! (I am oily skinned.) Easily removed with makeup remover. The color is a standard black. The tip wears down after a few uses. I suppose it's not that terrible for $1. Though, the Essence felt tip pen is more intense and precise.

Polishes -Illamasqua - Nomad
rated 4 of 5
RunawayGirl 1/30/2013 5:13:00 AM

*The second picture is of Nomad on my hands I had a rough start relationship with Nomad and I but in the end result it was worth the effort. My guy would describe this as a "seafoam green" and I totally agree. I was actually looking for a color to be similar to China glaze For Audrey, and I believe this is more greenish. I absolutely adore the color, right from when I tried it on at Sephora. The reason why I had a rough start with Nomad was because I hate the formulation. Mine was really watery and wasn't opaque at all. It was watery in a goopy way and kinda sheer in one layer. Two layers fit the bill. Dry time was horrendous, so you really need to be patient with the wait time. I'm not too much of a fan of the packaging, it doesn't have the best grip for me, I mean the brush is small and the cap is big and squared so I have an awkward feel of holding it because it feels bulky. I would rate it 3 stars but the color is just so worth it.

Eyeliner -L'Oreal - Infallible The Super Slim 12H Liquid Eyeliner
rated 3 of 5
RunawayGirl 1/28/2013 10:57:00 AM

I usually buy the darkest eyeliner I can get but there were only a couple left of these felt tip liners which were in black. So needless to say, when placed on, it became a weird faded texture. It was the softest black in my standards and I actually thought the product I bought had dried out. It reminded me of old dried out crayola markers. But, I am forgiving so I gave it a chance anyway and I started to think it wasn't THAT bad.. maybe okay at best. (granted that I layered it so it is a do-able black.) It's totally matte, but in a dullish way as the day progresses. It is NOT fadeproof or smudge proof! sadly the quality just isn't there for me. It looks okay ish from a distance which is why I thought it was okay, because it also formed a wing liner pretty great. Just until it faded, of course. You could also try placing black eyeshadow on top to deepen the color but there wouldn't be a point if I could just wet my liner brush onto the black eyeshadow and make a winged liner from that. I tried primer underneath, and it still fade. I gave 3 stars because it gives a perfect precision liner that you can thicken, or skinny up your liner wings. Felt tip is really easy to use, packaging is okay but you have to be careful when closing otherwise when rushing you could accidentally bend the felt tip out on the rims (happens to my mascara all the time). This doesn't last up to it's claim of 12H, and smudgeproof so IMO this doesn't deserve $10 CAN. So my hunt for the HG felt tip pen continues~

Eye Shadow -Annabelle - Haute Chocolate Trio Eyeshadow
rated 4 of 5
RunawayGirl 1/8/2013 4:34:00 PM

Everyday when I log on, I always see this on the side bar.. taunting me each time as if it was a sign for me to go buy it. I've read the reviews, time and time again, and I'd always bring myself not to try because I'm not a brown/neutral eyeshadow wearer. I love me some dramatic dark eyeshadow but realize i can't wear super dark eyeshadow everyday and it gets boring and I needed something to wear that is casual. This trio may look like a night time wear but to me this is a day time wear and it's absolutely stunning. The dark gold glitter deep brown is my favorite and dramatic enough to be casual for me. My least favorite would have to be the lightest color because the color doesn't suit me, looks ashy/chalky on my skin and is too dark to be a highlighter. The packaging is simple and easy to open (thank heaven for my nails.) The colors are super blendable, smooth and not super pigmented but pigmented enough. So my only gripe is that the lightest color should've been a highlighting shade for the brow bone, tear duct, cupids bow etc.

Eye Shadow -Wet 'n' Wild - Panther
rated 5 of 5
RunawayGirl 12/31/2012 12:58:00 AM

Thanks to the great reviews on MUA I was able to find my HG matte black eyeshadow! it's good at blending and goes on VERY pigmented, kinda reminds me of charcoal, very finely milled bold black that will instantly blacken your finger tips not leaving any trace of patchiness. This can easily be over done and it has minimal fall outs. Very cheap! Absolutely deserves 5 lippies. The only thing that bothers me about this product is the packaging, it's hard to open at times, and the product was very messy when I opened it.

Polishes -Sally Hansen - Insta-Dri in Quick Sand
rated 4 of 5
RunawayGirl 12/27/2012 9:10:00 PM

I like it! I was kinda skeptical as the low reviews of this had me thinking so I tested it on my nails and instantly liked it. The color payoff is not true to what you see in the bottle. In the bottle it looks very shimmery/sparkly beigy color but on my nails its a rosey peach beige drab color, which doesn't look too bad on me. This reminds me of my nude lipsticks. I would describe this as plain and simple; and is a total nude color for my nails. This is the perfect subtle nail polish I need when I don't want vibrant colored nails. The texture is rather goopy and can get a little blotchy when doing second layer (though one layer is good enough) and the brush is good but a bit hard to reach on the sides of your nails. Due to the fact that the shimmer failed to deliver its job, which then makes the finish look drabby, for this, I MUST layer with a clear top coat for that desired glossy finish as this dries in a weird grainy/dotty finish due to the shimmer particles. Dries in quick time, and not the most expensive brand but also not the cheapest. Knocked a lippie because the finish could be a bit better.

Blush -NARS - Gina
rated 5 of 5
RunawayGirl 12/23/2012 6:30:00 PM

Nars Gina [First blush from Nars] is a gorgeous peachy warm color on my NC25 skin. I'm really glad this was a hit for me! I can lightly tap on a little which won't look too much with a smokey eye and then I could tap on a lot more if I want to look flourished (w/o the smokes). I must be careful because even though this comes on light, it is also easy to overdo on pigmentation and I could come off looking unnatural. Gina isn't that easy to find as some Sephora stores don't carry it. This is $36 CAN and well worth it. Ok, I was sort've slightly moved as pictures made the blush seem bigger as it is zoomed in and when I opened it, it seemed small but I realize since it is well pigmented, it would last for quite some time. All in all, I adore this little rectangle filled peachy mattified goodness!

Mascara -Rimmel - Volume Accelerator Mascara
rated 2 of 5
RunawayGirl 12/17/2012 11:28:00 PM

Not a very voluminous mascara, and you can forget about the length. This ruins the curl of my lashes and weighs it down, and easy to get on my lids. What attracted me to buying it initially was the brush, I love the brush for my almond eyes. Wish I could use it with a different mascara formula.

Blush -Bobbi Brown - Pot Rouge for Lips and Cheeks - Calypso Coral
rated 4 of 5
RunawayGirl 12/17/2012 9:44:00 PM

This is a really gorgeous color. The packaging has changed and so has the formulation, so unlike before, this doesn't feel drying to the lips as it was drying when it was in the jar before. I was looking for peachy blushes and saw that Nars Gina and Tarte Tipsy was out of stock, and bought this product on a whim instead. it's not as peach as i'd like it to be but it really suits my skin [NC25]. Very pigmented, can go from sheer to opaque. I love the texture, it's not sticky and doesn't make me look oily or caked. When placed on the lips, it looks lighter and is very pretty. That is just a bonus for me because I didn't even know this was a multitasker before I bought it. The rim/edge of the pan tends to collect dusts, also they put noticeably less product in the pan than they did in the pot, with same price. This is sort've hard to blend with only fingers, so I buff it out with kabuki after. Overall, I like it, but not enough to repurchase.

Lip Gloss -Essence - Lip Gloss
rated 2 of 5
RunawayGirl 12/15/2012 4:27:00 PM

If you're sensitive to scent, be warned that this is is a very strong fruity scent. I like the smell, and packaging. My color is in sparkling papaya and when placed on my lips, it is so sheer, you do not see the peachy color but only the chunks of glitter on my lips, and you can feel the dispersed glitter on your lips. I had only bought this to place over my nudes lipstick from Mac. I don't like the applicator, it applies the texture of the lipgloss weirdly, like it's hard to blend and can easily go over the edges of your lips in goops. This doesn't last a long time and needs to be reapplied from time to time. Good price, less than decent product. I'm keeping it for the smell and a top coat for lipsticks.

Eyeliner -Sephora - Liquid Eyeliner
rated 3 of 5
RunawayGirl 11/21/2012 12:12:00 AM

I dislike this eyeliner. Prior to using this, i've used the Revlon Colorstay liquid eyeliner and the only thing it tops is the color. It's definitely blacker than the Colorstay. The brush is good for doing thin liner. This sucks against humidity (it smudges) and it really sucks against moisture. Usually when I yawn, I tear up a little and this smudges like crazy! I tested by swiping a damp finger on my lid (which most liquid liner should withstand) and it smudged beyond compare. It was more bleeding than a little smudge. Note to self: will not wear on rainy weather! I also find that the wand is a little bit flimsy, as I like a bit of firmness for precision. I should've gotten the water proof one. In short, I like that it's black the whole day, and good for thin winged liner.

Liquid -Estee Lauder - Double Wear
rated 4 of 5
RunawayGirl 11/10/2012 1:40:00 AM

This foundation helps to conceal mild acne but not totally. I think this foundation holds it's hype as a long lasting good finish foundation. They have a nice color range. I wear Rattan and it looks a titch bit light, and wears out a little darker during the day. This is all around a good foundation for my oily skin. It definitely tops most of the foundations I have. It's not a foundation I would wear everyday because it feels heavy on my skin but it's the price you pay for good coverage foundation. Another complaint is the packaging. I find that this is a goopy foundation or maybe I find all foundations goopy looking when you're trying to look at it run out of the bottle... I really wish this had a pump. This is a foundation where you need to add some blush, bronzer or anything to your face as this sucks the life out of your face (unless you're wanting the all nude face.) Give it a sample try!

Highlighters -Urban Decay - Urbanglow Cream Highlight
rated 2 of 5
RunawayGirl 11/10/2012 1:24:00 AM

I have this in Sin and I am medium skin tone. I really wanted to like this. It's so unfortunate that this product doesn't fit to my needs of a cream highlighter. When I placed it on my cheeks it comes on as a lovely shimmer but when you blend it, the glowiess disappears and you're left with speckles of glitter and sparkle. I barely try to blend it so it wouldn't be less pigmented but the color would fade nontheless. I even packed on more of it which turned out badly into a greasey mess ball. I might be asking for a little bit too much but I wanted to have that Kim Kardashian glow in every room I walk in but it would only show it in direct florescent light, and don't get me started on direct sunlight. 5 words: Edward-Cullens-The-Twinkle-Fairy. This was a little above 30 bucks Canadian. I rate two lippies for color and packaging.

Lip Treatments -eos - LE Strawberry Sorbet & Passionfruit 2-Pack
rated 3 of 5
RunawayGirl 10/7/2012 1:21:00 AM

I knew this wasn't moisturizing. My friend even said it sucked. But I just can't help the cute compact packaging. I'm not a balm person but I am into color, innovation, and smell. I do have to reapply every hour or so. I like it better than burts bees mango because its not as waxy but burts bees and blistex are better in quality than this. So this gets an ok meh rating. Oh and this gets dirt easily.
