Yuk...too cloying for me and gives me a headache...has a weird note like regurgitated pineapple or something...and I don't like sandalwood/amber notes, either...not my thing!

Lotions/ Creams -Bath and Body Works - Black Raspberry Vanilla Lotion
RtiQlitQT 3/16/2012 11:10:00 PM
One of my new favorites! This is the only current BBW lotion scent that is not too strong on me, and that I don't need to mix with unscented lotion to reduce the strength and cloying of the scent. Although it smells strong out of the bottle, if fades a lot. I like that this dry-down leaves your skin faintly scented and the fruitiness is greatly reduced. I prefer not to smell like fruit. The raspberry cuts the sweetness of the vanilla, and the vanilla cuts the fruitiness of the raspberry. Very complimentary. Just LOVE this one! It will be a staple of my lotion wardrobe until it is discontinued, which I sure hope will not be anytime soon!

Styling Products -Unlisted Brand - L.A. Looks Nutra Curl Moisturizing Gel
RtiQlitQT 3/16/2012 11:03:00 PM
While I agree that the bottle is too large to store conveniently, I do enjoy this product. While I like the old curl gel formula much better, this is not bad. I was afraid that the oil in it would weigh down my fine hair, but it does not. I don't find the scent strong or unpleasant, or the texture too thick, either. This does not have the blue tint of the old formula, which I miss, but at least this is almost clear. I don't get crunchy hair from this. It is a great medium hold gel that does the job, especially when blended with Hask Frizz Remedy.

Lotions/ Creams -Bath and Body Works - White Citrus (lotion)
RtiQlitQT 3/16/2012 10:56:00 PM
Although most BBW fragrances give me a headache, this one does not. This lotion is a bit too strong for me, so I mix it half and half with an unscented lotion...perfect! Although I am not very fond of the petrolatum in it, this always makes me feel fresh and professional when I wear it. It will remain a staple in my lotion wardrobe until it is discontinued.

Eye Makeup Remover -Sonia Kashuk - Remove
RtiQlitQT 3/1/2011 10:16:00 PM
This product works SO much better than mineral oil (baby oil) for removing waterproof mascara! It isn't oily and unlike the other reviewer, it did not dry my eye area out. It also does not cause any eye irritation and did not leave residue. Love it, except for the price (still $9.99 only at Target) and except for the fact that the bottle opening does not have a tip with which to squeeze out only the small amount needed per use. It is my new staple eye makeup remover!

Mascara -Cover Girl - Volume Exact Waterproof
RtiQlitQT 1/30/2011 9:28:00 AM
I tried this as a replacement to the beloved, discontinued Max Factor Volume Couture Waterproof. The formula is not EXACTLY the same as MFVCW, but only the last few ingredients differ slightly. The applicator is the same. I recently put this to the test, as I had stockpiled two tubes of the MFVCW. I wore MFVCW on one eye and CGVEW on the other. After wearing them all day, and sleeping through the night with the mascara on, and showering the next morning with it on, both mascaras had similar flaking. I repeated this test the next day, switching eyes, with similar results. So, this is really the best replacement for MFVCW! I wish it came with a spoolie applicator instead of the plastic brush applicator. I will now be checking all CG waterproof mascaras for the same formula with a spoolie applicator. I will say that any user must be aware that this mascara is the most difficult to remove, and must be removed with a mascara remover that is designed to remove waterproof mascara, such as Sonia Kashuk Remove from Target. : - )

Treatments -Stridex - Naturally Clear Acne Medication Pads
RtiQlitQT 1/30/2011 9:20:00 AM
Unlike the majority of reviews, I like this product, and I like it better than the red box 2% variety. My observation is that this 1% alcohol-free product is more effective at pore cleansing than the 2% alcohol-free product of the red box. This product *IS* just slightly more irritating than the red box variety, even though it has half of the salicylic acid content, and it *DOES* leave a slight, 'filmy' tightness behind. So please take their labelled claim that they clean skin without over-drying with a grain of skepticism. I also agree that the ingredient list hardly makes these 'natural,' but hey, that's marketing. I like the even larger, triangular pads. I have never found the round pads of the other versions to be too small and have never been able to cut them in half. In fact, I have to use both sides of the pad; even these new, larger, triangular ones. I also enjoy the triangular-shaped white plastic jar. I, too, wonder why these pads come soaking in way-too-excess solution. The red box variety does, too. Such a waste, but to help with this, when the pads run out, I use the remaining solution with cut-up microfiber cloth pieces. I feel that they should work on the packaging so that the ratio of pads to solution is improved. Despite the slight filmy tightness and over-filled solution, I like these pads a bit better than the red box variety. They are just more effective for me, and I am not bothered by the other ingredients, like others. I will buy these over the red box variety in the future.

Lotions/ Creams -Bath and Body Works - Japanese Cherry Blossom-lotion
RtiQlitQT 10/3/2010 8:25:00 AM
This is a great floral oriental, and I usually despise oriental fragrances. I use this lotion as a fragrance because it is quite strong...too strong to actually use as an all-over body lotion...at least for me. I prefer it in the lotion, and I only need to put a pea size on my lower fragrance points (ankle, behind the knee, lower back). I love that it is available in the 3 fl oz size, because this alone, will last me quite awhile. It will be sad to see it go when they discontinue it...and I believe that will be soon, unfortunately. We shall see.

Polishes -Milani - Raspberry Fusion
RtiQlitQT 10/3/2010 8:14:00 AM
My new HG polish brand is Milani. For years, I chose to ignore the rave reviews and comments on the nailboard about these polishes, but no longer! I tried two similar colors: this one, #118 - Pink Out Loud, and #88 - Rasberry Fusion. I love both, but prefer this one because of it is slightly warmer-toned than Rasberry Fusion. Although this shade required three, thin coats to look it's best, they were easy to apply and dried quite quickly. This shimmery dark pink is a metallic type of finish, more cool-toned than Pink Out Loud. I love that the bottles are easy to handle and small, as well as inexpensive and readily available. These two shades wear as well as OPI or China Glaze on me! I am thoroughly impressed and will definitely repurchase the preferred Pink Out Loud, and will invest in other shades, too!

Makeup Brushes -Ecotools - retractable kabuki
RtiQlitQT 10/3/2010 7:58:00 AM
Surprisingly and unlike most reviewers here, my experience with this brush was below average, at best. The casing came apart after only a short time, and the bristles, while very soft at first, became rough after only a couple of washings. I am not impressed and will not buy this brush again. If it were only the issue of the casing (tube) coming apart, I would use and repurchase this brush; but having the bristles lose their softness after moderate use is the real deal-breaker. I was so hoping these average-priced, readily-available brushes would be another HG and I'm quite disappointed.
