Lip Gloss -Burt's Bees - Burts Bees Lip Shimmers
Rotna 1/4/2013 12:29:00 PM
I got the Lip Shimmer in the shade 'Champagne' as a Christmas pressie. I have to say that the shade doesn't suit me well at all (this shade is light/frosty shimmer-ish). The lip balm is VERY minty- which is something people tend to either love or loathe! Personally I'm not a fan of lip balms that has that minty tingling sensation, it just gets a little too toothpaste-ish for my taste! :) My lips don't appear any softer after having used this balm, so I'll stick to my old ones instead.

Treatments -Clinique - Pore Minimizer refining serum
Rotna 12/21/2012 12:26:00 PM
I have a love/hate relationship with this product. I use it as a primer on my nose/T-zone before applying foundation (as my T-zone tends to go oily during the day)- and this serum does seem to make my skin stay matte longer. However, this serum seems to cause little bumps on my skin when I use it for too many days in a row... so with that being said, it's NOT a HG product for me. But until I find a better alternative, I'll be using this.

Primer/ Corrector -Yves Saint Laurent - Touche Eclat (Radiant Touch)
Rotna 12/21/2012 12:18:00 PM
This is a good product- the texture is very light and easy to blend. However, I do find that many of the cheaper highlighters on the market are just as effective- so personally I wouldn't re-purchase.

Liquid -L'Oreal - Infallible 16hr foundation
Rotna 12/21/2012 11:42:00 AM
I have extremely sensitive skin and a T-zone that tends to go oily. I've therefore had a difficult time finding a liquid foundation that will make my nose/chin look matte while also being mild enough to not cause any redness and not clog my pores. After having used this product for some time, I'll have to say that it's an Ok foundation. I'm a bit on the pale side and find that the colour 'Porcelain' looks nice as it's not too yellow'ish nor too pink. The foundation is easy to apply, gives a nice coverage and doesn't look cakey. I often find that foundations make my T-zone look very oily after a few hours- this foundation does seem to last for quite a few hours without any need to touch up. While this is not a HG product for me, I would definitely re-purchase as it's an Ok product to an affordable price.

Treatments -TiGi - Bed Head Colour Combats Colour Goddess Leave-In Conditioner
Rotna 12/21/2012 11:20:00 AM
This is the best leave-in conditioner I have ever used- absolutely love this product! Not only does it smell heavenly of toffee and cookies but it also works really well. I find that many leave-in conditioners leave my hair feeling greasy- however, this product makes my hair feel soft and lovely! I will definitely continue to use this product!

Hair -TiGi - Rockaholic Dry Shampoo
Rotna 12/19/2012 1:50:00 PM
This is the best dry shampoo I've used- it does what it's supposed to do + it smells lovely (lemon'ish scent). Would definitely re-purchase! **Update** just read other reviews on here regarding this product and quite a few mentions that there's only a few uses/per bottle = not making it worth the money. I guess there must have been some bad TIGI batches because I've personally not had this problem- this dry shampoo lasted forever and never seemed to dry out in the bottle etc.

Sunscreen -Clinique - Face Cream SPF40
Rotna 12/15/2012 4:31:00 PM
****BEWARE OF THIS SUNSCREEN*** I wish I had never tried out this sunscreen as it gave me a very bad allergic reaction. I have sensitive skin and purchased this product after having read good things about it. I decided to try this out on a Sunday when I was going outside for a long walk with my mum. When I came home I showered, put on my moisturiser- and did notice that my skin seemed slightly sore/swollen. Anyways, I went to bed- and woke up the following morning with my face swollen so much that I could barely open my eyes! I took the day off work- only to find that my face continued to get more and more swollen. The following day I had to contact a doctor who gave me medication yet my face continued to be swollen for the rest of the week. I looked liked something out of a horror film!!! I returned back to work after a work- at that point my face was still looking red and the swelling wasn't completely gone. Worst thing that has come out of this is that ever since the allergic reaction, it seems that my skin has gotten extremely sensitive to almost all skincare products. So if you have sensitive skin- please do think twice before trying out this product. (I personally wish I had never purchased this product...)

Moisturizers -Dr. Hauschka - Rose Day Cream
Rotna 12/15/2012 4:04:00 PM
I have super sensitive/slightly oily skin and decided to give this product a try after having read a lot of good things about Dr. Hauschka's products. While this cream didn't make my skin burn (like so many other products do) I did find that it took a VERY VERY long time to absorb- no matter how little cream I used. I normally use different kinds of oils for my face (Argan Oil specially)- and never have a problem with facial oils as they seem to absorb nicely...but for whatever reason the Rose Cream just seemed to leave a fat, greasy layer on my skin. After having used it for a week I also noticed that my pores seemed to clog, so I stopped using it. I handed the product over to my flatmate (who has sensitive/very dry skin) and he liked it and didn't have any problems with it... so I guess it's just my skin that didn't like it for some strange reason. This is not a bad product- but it obviously didn't work for me and I wouldn't re-purchase it. It does however smell quite lovely.

Crème -L'Oreal - Matte Morphose
Rotna 8/30/2012 1:14:00 PM
I was using this foundation daily for a few months- but then started to notice how my skin seemed to get more and more messy (blemishes, clogged pores etc.) So needless to say, I stopped using this product and went back to my old mineral powder. I really liked this foundation by L-Oreal as it goes on so smoothly and covers very well- but sadly it seems like it just doesn't work with my skin type. UPDATE: I decided to give this product another try... the result was the same; it seems to clog my pores badly.

Pressed Powders -Unlisted Brand - The All Natural Face pressed powder foundation
Rotna 8/26/2012 9:26:00 AM
I have been trying out several products by AllNaturalFace as I like to use make up products that don't have all sorts of chemicals in them. The pressed powder of theirs is quite good imho. It covers up redness/spots/etc nicely and doesn't seem to clog pores. I have extremely sensitive skin and make up products make me break out VERY easily- however, my skin doesn't seem to mind this powder... so for now I'll continue to use it :)

Skincare - Face -Trilogy - Rosehip Oil
Rotna 8/26/2012 9:16:00 AM
I purchased this product after having read so many positive reviews online. However, after having used it my skin started to itch and become red and irritated. I got tiny blisters everywhere on my face and my skin took days to recover. I later on wanted to give this product another try to make sure it really was the oil that was causing the trouble- but same thing happened; tiny blisters, redness and itchiness. I have VERY sensitive skin and my skin seems to NOT get along with this product. I will obviously NOT re-purchase this and people with very sensitive skin should probably do a test to see how their skin reacts to this oil.
