Eye Shadow -L'Oreal - Wear Infinite Eye Shadow Singles - Sea Shell

Although this shade is meant for blue eyes, it suits my brown eyes well. Just as other reviewers have said, I use Seashell as an eyeshadow base and as an overall highlighter. It goes on very finely and not as a streak of chalky coverage. Super light micro shimmery coverage that brightens otherwise dark and shadowy crevices of the eye area. I love the way I look in pictures as a result! Fresh and alert! The best part? I found this little treasure on the floor of the grocery store entrance. Someone must have accidentally dropped it on the way out. A serendipitous find that I otherwise would have never purchased.
Styling Products -Got 2 Be - POWDER'ful Volumizing Styling Powder

I have fine hair and an oily scalp. It's not color-treated yet and it goes just past my shoulders.. I came across this at a CVS and thought 'now this is different'. For the price, I was willing to give it a try. The bottle is a shaker with a cap. So, I shook some product into my palm, rubbed palms together and proceeded to spread it into my hair. Big Mistake. My hair got matted down and I could not brush it at all. Right away I realized what I did wrong so the next time I very lightly shook some product into each palm (so light that you can feel it but cannot see it) and did NOT rub them together. Then I proceeded to turn my head upside down and applied my palms lightly throughout the hair from root to midway down. The end result gave me fuller hair that I could brush and style. I love it so much that I went back to CVS and bought the other bottle on the shelf! I would imagine that other volumizing hair powders will work just the same but GOT2BE saved me a lot of $$. Another added plus in my experience with this product is that the next day my hair/scalp is not an oily mess. And when I shampoo my hair the day after I am left with noticeably fuller hair! Very strange but nice!
Foundations -Garnier - BB Cream Miracle Skin Perfector Daily All-In-One
RoseannaDanna 5/25/2012 12:30:00 PM
I just bought this BB cream from CVS as it had a sale price of $10. The consistency is a little on the mousse side. Right away I noticed that a little goes a long way. When you go to the makeup counters, the SA's always apply the product to the back of their hand, smear it a little and then use either a sponge or a brush to apply to the face. Initially, I didn't use this technique and as a result the product felt like a heavy layer on my face. My skin type is oily on the T-zone and dry/normal elsewhere. I do tend to develop pimples easily. So, I will report back on how things worked out on the long run.
My DH got this as a gift for me knowing that I've admired it for a while. It's not cheap. Yet, I wear it often because it's light, elegant and very classy. I may not be European but it makes me feel like I am. I've "liked" Chanel No. 5 except that it's very strong, I guess I'm not alone in this opinion. The lasting power on me is on a scale of medium. It's described as "A decidedly lighter, fresher, softer interpretation of N°5. . . a silky-smooth harmony of notes that reveals the delicate facet of the now and forever fragrance."
Fragrances -Roger & Gallet - Eau de Shiso Energizing Fragrant Water

Based upon the name of this fragrance I assumed that I would smell a fresh, clean and happy scent. It's fresh, clean and happy. But, I believe the overwhelming lingering scent is supposed to be the 'energizing' element in this fragrance, perhaps? All you need is ONE spritz to see what I mean. Think in terms of a room freshener mistakenly applied as a cologne as I can't put a finger on what that overwhelming note could be. One review I read online attributed that note to Shiso. I've never heard of this ingredient before. Whatever it is, I know this: it's concentrated. Not something you'd expect given that it's not a parfum. And, with the name fragrant water, you'd expect a baby's breath of summery freshness, right? I believe I will use my purchase as a room freshener.
First and foremost, I'd like to mourn over the death of Sap Moss shampoo.
I gave this 4 stars because it leaves my hair on the dry side sometimes. I used it again today because my hair just seemed to lie really flat this week. Surprisingly, my hair is full, shiny and clean today. I don't use conditioner too often since my hair is fine. Seems even the lightest conditioner weighs it down sometimes. So, overall I'd give this chelating/clarifying shampoo a 4.5. It's gentle and effective. Definite repurchase. It's concentrated/thick (though not mentioned on the bottle). A little goes a long way.
I get occasional pimples and needed something to carry with me in my makeup bag during the day. I found this and thought to give it a try. Boy, it's a winner! Just a day ago, I noticed a red pimple on my chin. I applied a thin layer and massaged it in since it does turn the area all white. Next day, the budding pimple was was gone with no scar! Thankfully, I don't get a chemical burn with this. Test an small area first before going gungo ho.
4 stars because this stuff doesn't ALWAYS make breakouts disappear. If I have a cystic pimple, it will take a few nights for it to shrink the pimple. It is important to catch the pimple in its beginning stages with the pink stuff. If I have an ordinary pink zit forming, 1 or 2 nights with this stuff will do the trick. The smell is very strong. I find it difficult sometimes to sleep while breathing in the fumes (this occurs when my pimple is around my nose, obviously). Oddly, I don't have pink all over my pillowcase in the a.m. I don't paint my face with this. Since I do occasional spots from time to time, the $18 bottle lasts a long time. A staple in my bathroom.
This gem has had a constant presence in my bathroom for at least 15 years. It's a wonderful refresher and sets my makeup nicely. Whenever I feel tired or worn out, I'll remember to spray my face. After applying my tinted moisturizer and light dusting of powder, I'll lightly spray my face to get that dewy and youthful look. It doesn't clog my pores and doesn't break me out. A bottle goes a long way. I had an extra bottle once and my sister tried it and loved it. Now she's a fan. I was turned on to this by a mature friend. A staple that is simple good and cheap. Last I checked, Ulta carried this.
This review is for the product as shown in the picture. However, my mascara just says L'Oreal on the tube and nothing else (like Extra Volume, etc). The large brush on the wand really collects a lot of product in clumps. If I don't swipe the brush in tissue first and then swipe my lashes twice, I will end up with spider legs. I'm better off cleaning the large brush first before application. I would swipe once or twice and leave it alone to avoid looking like a stereotyped waitress working in a diner. Not a repurchase for me.
My late maternal aunt was a classy lady. Each time we visited her apartment, I'd love going to her bathroom. On her counter sat the Madame Rochas EDT bottle and a little version of the same except it was the bath oil. I remember sniffing it and imagining being in a European city visiting avante gard people and being someone else. Recently, I was able to find an EDT bottle at a perfume vendor. I spray it on occasionally and remember my youthful imagination and my aunt.
One of my staples. I love the creative way some reviewers express their dissatisfaction with products! I'm glad Lancome has kept this on their roster all of these years. There are plenty of scents out there if this one doesn't suit you! However, for me O de Lancome has been a refreshing breeze of joyful memories. So fresh, youthful and playful. I enjoy it in the summertime preferably when I've got free time. For me, it carries me away only for a short while and leaves me happy and calm. Citrusy with attitude and personality. It's not flowery and sweet. UPDATE: This is still my go to fragrance for warm, sunny days. However, Lancome counters do not sell it anymore, saying it's "discontinued". It is sold online, though. Hope it stays available online.
Skincare - Face -Unlisted Brand - Dickinson's Witch Hazel
RoseannaDanna 7/16/2009 10:46:00 AM
There's a slightly funky smell to this product. But, if it helps to keep my complexion even and clear of blackheads and pimples and doesn't cost a bundle, do I give a flying flip? Nope. I live with it and grin whenever I look in the mirror at my clear skin. Here's what I do: each time I brush my teeth I wash my face afterward. Then, to clear away any residue, I soak one of those quilted pillow thingies with the witch hazel and rub it all over my neck and face (focusing on the T zone). Thereafter, I apply my trusted Cerave lotion and Kiehls Avocado eye cream. Works like a charm, I tell you.
At last! Finally! A moisturizer that keeps my sensitive skin hydated all day long and doesn't clog my pores causing pimples! It's not an SPF and that's fine by me. I wasn't sure if I should get the cream or the lotion. I figured if I needed something thicker, I'd use up the lotion on my face and body to finish it up first. But, it worked out well. The consistency of the lotion is light and emolient and soaks into the skin without leaving your skin dry and tight nor like an oil slick. It's a perfect balance. If your skin breaks out easily, this is the moisturizer you should try. I got mine at Walgreen's for between $11-12. Large pump bottle.
