Liquid -Neutrogena - Healthy Skin Liquid Makeup SPF 20
rated 3 of 5

This foundation doesn't give continuous hydration, and at the end of the day, my skin had dry lines and felt chapped from dryness. The shade ranges are wonderful, especially for people who have pink undertones. This has a fragrance. This also felt sticky on the face all day. It lasts around 8 or 9 hours. upon washing this off, my face felt somewhat softer, or more than other drug store brands. Compared to NARS: I wanted to use the healthy skin because it's supposed to be like NARS but with pink tones, but it's really not. It's only noticeably not like NARS if one has skin that needs moisture release throughout the day. NARS is thicker but makes the face so radiant within two uses that many people don't need as many face products in their morning routine. NARS lasts three times longer on my face and gives continuous hydration throughout the day.The problem is that NARS runs yellow and I have to buy two to mix together. If only NARS offered the colors that Neutrogena offers. NARS also has no fragrance. I guess I'm stuck mixing two foundations.

Lip Gloss -Rimmel - Stay Glossy - all
rated 5 of 5

This works as well as the high-end lip glosses. I'm not buying expensive lip products anymore unless it's an unusual shade that can only be bought from the more expensive brand. This gloss does feel sticky but that's why it stays put 5 or 6 hours. I bought this in the shade "stay my rose" and it's the perfect blue based medium pink for naturally pink lips. This looks great with blue based pink blushers, like peony, and Tarte's amazonian clay blush in "flush."

Skincare - Face -Unlisted Brand - Skin Milk's Facial Cleanser
rated 5 of 5
Rhonda2010 2/1/2013 2:30:00 PM

I rated this a five because it's extremely gentle and cleanses my face really well without drying my skin. Doesn't irritate slightly sensitive skin. And it's only 3 or 4 bucks for 6 ounces!

Lips -Revlon - Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain - Lovesick
rated 5 of 5
Rhonda2010 1/28/2013 1:00:00 AM

Perfect blue based fuschia for nw20-35 skin tones. It really goes well with my cotton candy blushes. Perfect spring lip. I also own crush, which is a much darker berry. The two shades are extremely similar, but I find as winter goes on, and I become paler, that lovesick is the perfect statement lip, as opposed to crush. This is also a great dupe for tarte's lips stains. They're identical down to the scent. I purchase these from revlon now. The stain itself stays on 4-6 hours. I like to apply it like a lipstick, tissue off so a stain is left behind, and just dab it on center of my lip. Looks like I've eaten a berry.

Just a basic clear gloss. No healing benefits. Way overpriced.

Lip Treatments -Smith's Rosebud Salve - Smith's Rosebud Salve
rated 4 of 5

The tin packaging is vintage, classic, and reminds me of English Rose styles or Downton Abbey, lol. This is like vaseline. I use this on my cuticles at work because I have dry skin and wash my hands frequently. I need vaseline in a portable form and this looks really chic. This smells like roses and powder but when applied to my lips - I can breathe in the fragrance and don't like it. I will purchase the mint flavor next time. For now, it's carmex on my lips and this rose salve on my cuticles and hands.

Loose Powders -Make Up For Ever - HD High Definition Loose Powder
rated 4 of 5
Rhonda2010 1/9/2013 9:33:00 PM

Keeps my skin looking matte without drying my winter dry skin. Gives a soft focus look much like the hd foundation does.I bought the .017 size and the three little holes don't give a lot of product but it's perfect for travel. I buffed it in and kept rubbing the brush into my skin for about 30 seconds. This didn't leave a white cast in photos. Overall, it's good but I'm sticking to my Nars powder which is superb. For a really soft matte glow, I use the hd foundation, then this hd powder, then Nars loose powder.

Took my sweaty, humidity struck face in the summer and made it look fresh. In the winter, doesn't irritate dry skin, but gives a polished look while setting makeup and absorbing sweat, oil. lasts a long time and the packaging gives a sifter for extra choices when applying and a vintage puff that looks really chic and classic.

Highlighters -BeneFit Cosmetics - Moon Beam
rated 3 of 5
Rhonda2010 12/27/2012 2:23:00 PM

1) This is a very subtle glow with an almost pink tint. 2) It's very pretty but not a shimmer glow like most highlighters. 3) Disrupts foundation underneath, even when I barely pat it on top of my foundation and blush, there are blotches left. 4) Works well when mixed with foundation. One or two drops of this with two drops of foundation in my hand looked very pretty 5) If I skip foundation and wear this alone, it looks like I've had a facial, but I like wearing foundation so I can't justify repurchasing this.

Skincare - Face -Scott Barnes - Luminizing Mist
rated 4 of 5

Does what it promises. Very dewy glow Well moisturizes Excellent for travel Why I will not repurchase? I just found this in my closet from 2006 and it still works really well, so it obviously has a great shelf-life. The nozzle broke the second or third time I used it when I first bought it, and the bottom fell off within a week just sitting on my dresser. Needless to say the quality of packaging is horrible and why I stored it in my closet. I find myself using the tonic spray which goes with my skin care line and works the same

Blush -NARS - Gaiety
rated 4 of 5
Rhonda2010 12/15/2012 3:06:00 PM

The perfect light pink, blue based blush. This works for cool tones but works beautifully on my sister's peach undertones, too. The quality isn't as good as other nars blushes: It only lasted 7 or 8 hours, where the other ones I've tried have lasted all day. This is the first nars blush I've had to reapply :( I was trying to find a nice alternative to my Revlon "pretty in peony" blush that was discontinued. This is the perfect match. It takes 2 or 3 swipes to show up on my nw30/35 skin tone but that's normal with any light pink blue based blush.

Highlighters -Bobbi Brown - Rose Shimmerbrick Shimmer Brick Compact
rated 4 of 5
Rhonda2010 12/13/2012 10:32:00 PM

Really great highlighter that doesn't interfere with pink blush color. I usually use gold highlighters, but sometimes they take away from my doll cheeks when I wear light pink blush. Honestly, this is the same formula as physician's formulas but they don't have a range of colors. I bought this because the rose is a natural color that's not too light or dark. If a cheaper company makes this color, I won't repurchase. But for now it's worth the extra tag to have a good highlighter specifically made to match pink blushes. It's a great eye shadow, too! Great for cool undertones, and my nw35 skin tone.

Blush -Revlon - Pretty in Peony
rated 5 of 5
Rhonda2010 12/5/2012 8:55:00 PM

Love this. It's a pink mauve color with blue undertones. Since they no longer make this, I am going to buy Nars Gaeity when I'm out of this. I think Gaiety would be a good replica, although it's a lot more money. I've looked at swatches. This is my holy grail blush. I hope they bring it back to their permanent line. :( Edit: nars gaiety is the perfect match, and are identical when side-by-side. If anyone finds a cheaper match to revlon's, please leave the name :)

Lips -Revlon - Just Bitten Kissable Stain Balm - Crush
rated 5 of 5
Rhonda2010 10/18/2012 8:04:00 PM

Excellent lip stain and the perfect dupe for Tarte's lip stains. Crush is a deep berry color that is well suited to medium nw30/35 skin tones. I can understand fair complexions feeling this is goth. I own a Tarte lip stain. Revlon's lip stains are identical in packaging, smell, application, etc. This was only 4 bucks on sale and I was just about to purchase "moody" by Tarte, same as color as "crush", for nearly 20 bucks. Thank goodness I stopped at rite-aid first! This doesn't dry my skin out and it lasts a good 4 hours or more on me. Like others have said, lips in need of exfoliating will hinder the true look of this. But that's the case with any lipstick, gloss, etc. Application tips for these: Either dab on and go, or apply like lipstick then completely tissue off. The stain will be left behind.

Blush -MAC - Sheertone Blush in Blushbaby
rated 3 of 5
Rhonda2010 9/28/2012 9:38:00 PM

I'm giving this a three even though it looks fantastic, because it's too easily dupable, and too lightly pigmented to justify the price. This is a basic brownish pink that flatters most skin tones. On my nw30 skin it does look like my cheeks but better, but takes two swipes to show up. I love the way this matte pinkish brown blush looks but it's just too easy to purchase a revlon blush which is the same thing for half the cost. This is why it receives a three. Most expensive makeup companies, such as NARS and Tarte, offer blushes with a strong pigmentation. MAC must be able to keep up with its competition if it wants to charge 20 bucks for a blush. This works like a 9 dollar blush. Won't repurchase.
