Concealers -Estee Lauder - Double Wear Stay-in-Place Concealer
Resplendent7 12/31/2009 2:16:00 PM
I'm still on the fence about this, because while I love the coverage, I'm struggling with its drying effects. Tends to highlight lines, but will work on finding a good eye moisturizer and reconsider. Would probably not recommend for those of us over 40 for daily use. I personally like the wand applicator, followed by a concealer brush. Dries quickly, so I find applying to a small area at a time works best. Will continue to "work with it", as it does afford great coverage to dark circles.

Mascara -Max Factor - Lash Perfection
Resplendent7 6/14/2008 10:07:00 PM
I REALLY like this mascara. It gives a similar look to L'Oreal's Voluminous without the eye irritation, and doesn't smudge. I've looked forever for a true waterproof that's easy to remove, and I've found it. One downside: I don't like that the applicator isn't already in the tube when you buy it--seems unclean to me. Will definitely buy again, though.

Lotions/ Creams -Unlisted Brand - Simply Basic Vanilla Sugar Lotion
Resplendent7 1/6/2008 1:33:00 PM
An unsophisticated scent and not very moisturizing. Scent lasts about 15 minutes on me--but what can one expect from Walmart? Good price, but you need to use more often--so I suggest spending a little more up front for a better product with richer moisturizers.

Foundations -Cover Girl - Advanced Radiance Age-Defying Makeup
Resplendent7 11/21/2007 3:21:00 AM
Are we talking about the same product here? I spilled half of it out of the jar opening it, thinking that if it's labeled a cream foundation it would be thick. It's a chemical-smelling thick liquid, and settles quite nicely into my 45 yr old wrinkles. Back to Estee Lauder for me...

Styling Products -TiGi - Ego Boost

Not moisturizing enough, so I tried applying more, which left my hair crunchy and brittle. Smells odd, as well. Best feature is the cute packaging. Won't EVER repurchase.

Perfect for filling in brows if you're brunette. Who knew? Thanks to the reviewers here, I've found a pencil that creates natural-looking brows and costs next to nothing!

Blush -Rimmel - Berry
Resplendent7 9/24/2007 3:40:00 PM
Not a berry tone at all, but a bronzy, tawny shade on my fair/medium skin. I like to use it lightly in the places the sun would kiss me if I let it, and it brightens my face tremendously. Blends well and doesn't streak. Don't care for the packaging, but it's cheap, so all is forgiven!

Liquid -L'Oreal - Cashmere Perfect Foundation [DISCONTINUED]
Resplendent7 9/24/2007 3:35:00 PM
I so want to love this foundation, but every time I try it (I don't give up easily), it feels powdery and turns my moisturizer into sandy sludge. I have to rewash, remoisturize, and apply something civil.

Liquid -Cover Girl - TruBlend
Resplendent7 9/24/2007 3:25:00 PM
I was a fan of this product (in buff beige) until I repurchased and got a bottle of a completely different consistency. The first bottle was thin, soft, and easy to blend. The second one was thick, cakey, and left my skin flat, gray, and dull. Won't buy again because of the inconsistency.

Moisturizers -Clinique - Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion

Clogs my pores, and leaves my skin parched and rough. Why is it so yellow? Doesn't smell nice, either. Don't waste your money!

Treatments (Eye) -L'Oreal - Age Perfect Eye Treatment
Resplendent7 9/24/2007 3:16:00 PM
A great product! After 2 weeks of use, my lines have softened tremendously and my eyes look brighter. I'm 45, with dryness around eyes and cheeks. Does have a strong scent, and I'm usually quite sensitive, but so far so great. Not thrilled with the packaging--but it's helpful to use a q-tip to scoop to avoid that dreaded under-the-fingernail syndrome. Will definitely continue to use!

Lipstick -Revlon - Super Lustrous in Blackberry
Resplendent7 9/24/2007 2:38:00 PM
My lipstick choices usually go against what my coloring dictates I should wear, and Revlon Blackberry is no exception. I feel sexy when I wear it, and people often ask me what shade it is. I love that it's pretty even when it's wearing off--like a soft brownish-berry stain. Love it and will wear it forever!

Treatments -Joico - Moisture Recovery Treatment Balm for thick or coarse hair

Great product! I use this in between protein treatments on my coarse, dry, wavy hair, and it leaves it soft, manageable, and full of (controlled) body. Smells fantastic, too!

Cleansers -Unlisted Brand - Albolene cleanser
Resplendent7 9/24/2007 3:54:00 AM
A great pre-cleanser when you have a lot of makeup to take off, but too heavy and greasy for a cleanser on it's own. Don't care for the packaging--couldn't they put it in a tube so you don't get it under your fingernails scooping from the massive jar?
