Eye Shadow -Chanel - Illusion d'Ombre
Remarkable 4/8/2012 7:58:00 AM
I have the Chanel Illusion d'Ombre cream eyeshadow in 2 shades, in no 83 Illusoire and in no 84 Epatant. Illusoire is a purplish-lilacy color and Epatant is a greenish-greyish, all colors are sheer and luminous. I will probably buy no 82 Emerveillé as well which is a natural golden-peachy shade. These eyeshadows come in a little glass jar with black top and the Chanel logo on them and a little angled cream eyeshadow brush is provided in every product. I do recommend everyone to apply this eyeshadow with fingertips on the entire eyelid and and only then use the brush for more definition on the socket line. The texture of this eyeshadow is something between a cream and a mousse, it is so easy to blend and you have a relatively long playtime for applying it because it does not dry very fast. Using one single of these eyeshadows can make you look like wearing more colors at the same time. If you are not very very great at applying eyeshadow, I think you should go for this eyeshadow or for any other cream eyeshadows for that matter. This makeup will last all day, I have worn it for over 12 hours.

Makeup Brushes -Chanel - Powder Brush
Remarkable 4/8/2012 7:46:00 AM
I decided to collect/gather all the Chanel brushes that are out there because I am a very loyal Chanel makeup buyer and I would like to apply my Chanel makeup using Chanel brushes. I do realize that there are lots of other great brands for professional makeup brushes, such as Suqqu, Mac, etc. but as I do trust Chanel and love their makeup, I am using Chanel brushes. I have 4 Chanel brushes at the moment, but my collection is not full yet. I have the Foundation Brush, the Powder Brush, the Blush Brush and the Cream Eyeshadow Brush. I would like to buy the Angled Powder Brush, the Touch Up Brush and 3-4 eyeshadow brushes in the next couple of months. Let me first say that I am extremely contented and happy with all my Chanel brushes I already own, their are excellent quality, and my makeup looks even better applied with them. Chanel has just launched a new collection of brushes. The old brushes had longer and shiny handles and the metallic elements were golden. The new brushes have shorter and matt handles, their metallic elements are silver. Now, some of the brushes are made in France while others are made in China. There cannot be any explainable reason to that but I am pretty sure that all Chanel brushes wherever they are made, are excellent and brilliant. The brushes that are made in China have their number and saying what they are for on them. All Chanel brushes come in a velvet pouch. This powder brush is so soft, it feels like caressing my face with my cat's tail every single morning when I apply my loose powder. Its touch comforts me for being obliged to get up early in the morning. Great quality. I do recommend you to get it.

The Chanel no. 4 Foundation brush is flat and its size and material makes a flawless, polished, airbrushed look. My foundation looks more like a second layer of perfect skin and more natural. The small size of the brush allows me to put foundation even around and under my nose perfectly and I have no dark areas, no dark circles. I have also noticed that using this brush, I use less foundation. Buying this brush was an absolutely great investment. I love it.

Now I should really start my blush brush review. It is number 4. It is very very soft, feels lovely and its size and shape were just created for your cheekbones. I absolutely love it and my blush is perfect since I have been using this brush. I am so happy that I bought it and I know that if some day I am not so lucky to be able to afford Chanel makeup, this brush will accompany me for the next 15 years minimum and whatever cheaper blush I will use, it will look nicer applied with my Chanel no 4 Blush Brush.

Crème -Chanel - Vitalumiere Hydra (Moist Radiance Emulsion Compact)
Remarkable 4/6/2012 3:08:00 AM
I bought this foundation yesterday and I am just going to apply it this morning for the first time. Obviously, I am going to update my review after the first application and then later, I will keep you posted about my opinion after a longer period of using this foundation. .. Let me though share a few things with you about this amazing-looking product. It is a beautiful rounded compact container, sort of looks like a blush or a powder, it reminds me of the Yves-Saint Laurent semi-loose powder a little bit. It does have a perfect mirror and the sponge is in a separate compartment than the product itself is, so the sponge is not going to get dirty. (I am planning to buy some other sponges because it is not very hygienic to keep using the same sponge until I finish the foundation.) I am going to try to wear this foundation both applied with a sponge and later applied with a Chanel Foundation Brush Estompe to see what coverage I get. This foundation is also supposed to be able to moisturize your skin and when I look into the container and see the creme, I can almost see water drops on top of it and it does seem to be great. I am so excited to try this. I really did not need another foundation because I already have Perfection Lumiere and Vitalumiere Aqua, but perhaps 3 foundations is not so terrible yet. So I am going to put on my Chanel Le Blanc sheer illuminating skin perfecter and then apply my Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua Compact with the sponge that comes with it and update my review by tonight. I am excited and optimistic about it. One bad thing: this was the most expensive foundation that I have ever picked up in my life. I usually spend 35-4O euros on a foundation and this one cost 5O euros... But the GOOD thing is that this foundation can be refilled and the refills are reasonably priced. If I end up liking this foundation, if you end up liking it, you'd better buy some back up refills because Chanel might just soon discontinue this foundation just like they did in the case of the Teint Innocence Compact. I am not spreading panic here, just saying.... So my updated review is coming soon.... UPDATE AFTER APPLICATION: The product contains 12 grams of foundation which seems little but at the very first application I already saw that I needed an extremely insignificant amount of foundation for my entire face so I do not fear that this product is not going to be cost-efficient. The creme felt like putting water on my skin, it felt so moisturizing, so lovely, I adored the feeling. My skin looked more beautiful than ever. It gives a nice light to medium coverage. I did fix it with some Chanel Loose Powder. My skin looked radiant and flawless. This is the nicest foundation I have EVER used ever... It lasted for some 6 hours, then I needed a touch up. But that is alright. I just put on some Chanel Double Perfection on top my nose and on my T-zone. This is a great product, you should all consider investing in it, it is absolutely worth it.

Loose Powders -Yves Saint Laurent - Semi-loose powder in #1
Remarkable 4/4/2012 3:45:00 AM
I think I first used YSL's Semi-loose powder in March 2008. I remember because that was when I started to date my boyfriend. It came in a gorgeous golden package and the product itself was so beautiful that I could hardly believe it that it was a makeup item and not a jewelry box. It is round and handy and gold... It is a joy just to take it out of your purse and in the beautiful and great quality mirror you see yourself prettier... There is a perfect and gorgeous brush inside, soft as feather and makes the application of the powder beautiful. Now, this powder is special because it is a semi-loose powder which means that you have to turn the top of the box where the product is in order to get yourself some powder on top and then you use your brush. So modern... Unfortunately though, if you don't pay attention just how much powder you need, you will waste the rest that comes out of the box. I adore this powder and I think sooner or later I will treat myself with another one when my Chanel pressed powder is over because the YSL has a different feeling, it is like a fairy tale while Chanel is decent and elegant. I only have one concern... I have used 2 boxes of this powder. The first time I ran out of it after only 6 weeks and the next time when I knew how much I had be careful and save the powder, it was enough for a bit more than 2 months... There is quite a little amount of powder in the container unfortunately and it costs 45 euros... Even though, I will soon buy one again and will only use it once in a blue moon. I will just treasure it. It is too beautiful to miss and the little powder that is inside is just excellent, the best texture and radiance ever.......

Moisturizers -Caudalie - Vinosource Quenching Sorbet Creme
Remarkable 4/3/2012 4:32:00 PM
This creme belongs to the organic, all natural Vinosource product family. They are mostly available in pharmacies and they make bath gels, shampooing, cremes, serums, cleansers, lotions, everything... Vinosource Quenching Sorbet Creme comes in a nice thin but long plastic container which is ideal for traveling. It has a lovely scent and very little of it is sufficient for the entire face and neck. My skin does feel moisturized but this is not a miracle product just an average good creme to put on my super expensive Lancome serum before going to bed.

Eye Shadow -Christian Dior - 5 Colour Eyeshadow - 705 Beige Massai (formerly Discretion)
Remarkable 4/3/2012 4:21:00 PM
This is my very first Dior eyeshadow, as I usually only buy Chanel products. I only chose to pick up a Dior eyeshadow this time because I did not find the right shades in Chanel in one single product. This is probably one of the most elegant and beautiful objects I have ever held in my hands. But you can of course look that up on the internet... Let's turn to the eyeshadow, to the content now... It has the perfect amount of pigmentation, it is so easy to blend and I love to play with these gorgeous colors. It cost 60 euros but it was worth it. I highly recommend it.

Mascara -Chanel - Inimitable Intense Mascara
Remarkable 4/3/2012 4:14:00 PM
This little, elegant, simple black pen-looking thingy is the one of the loveliest-looking mascaras I have ever used. I only use Chanel products but I used to be pissed by Chanel mascaras before so I used Lancôme Hypnose, Lancôme Hypnose Drama and Lancôme Hypnose Doll Lashes ever since I wear makeup or they exist - the original Hypnose has been on the market for quite a while and I am only 23. But at one of my recent purchases, I was given a Chanel Inimitable Intense Mascara sample and I used it the next morning out of curiosity. It took me seconds to make myself gorgeous, long, dolly eyelashes. It took less time and less of the product. The brush didn't look promising because I normally think that a mascara brush is the fluffier the better, but this time I was proven wrong because I love this mascara. Also, the Lancôme ones are difficult to remove, this one vanished immediately - but it stayed on perfectly during the day. I love this mascara and I highly recommend it. I am happy that now I only have Chanel products in my makeup bag.

Treatments -Lancome - Visionnaire [LR 2412 4%]
Remarkable 4/3/2012 4:08:00 PM
Lancôme Visionnaire in a skin perfecter treatment products that aims at diminishing wrinkles, minimizing pores and giving evenness to the skin. I have been using Lancôme Visionnaire for 5 weeks now. And I am extremely disappointed. I bought the bigger bottle and it cost 90 euros. I had never bought such an expensive serum before but others spoke volumes of it so I gave it a try. But this money was just not well spent. My pores are the same, I don't have wrinkles, I am 23 but I expected to have smaller pores and a more velvety skin. But nothing happened. And the gorgeous and luxurious packaging does not comfort me for my disappointment,

Powder -Chanel - Double Perfection Compact
Remarkable 4/3/2012 9:41:00 AM
I have never been more disappointed in a Chanel product than I was when I started to use the Chanel Double Perfection Compact. I must admit that I am very fair, I normally wear 10 Beige but the lightest shade of this product is 20 Clair. I really do not see why they do not have this foundation in more shades. Apart from this, I also have to mention that in my opinion, this product is neither good as a powder, nor as a foundation. On its own, it's not enough for the day and it is impossible to build makeup on it. On top of the foundation it is too much. The packaging and the box is beautiful though, its mirror is the great Chanel quality, so I will just keep having it in my purse for applying my lipstick in the office. But I so regret buying this product and it was quite expensive. Although I received both a sponge and a brush with the product and with using the brush, it is appropriate for minor touch ups on the nose during the day. But if I used it all over on my face, I would just look ridiculous.

Liquid -Chanel - Perfection Lumiere
Remarkable 4/3/2012 9:32:00 AM
I almost only use Chanel makeup. Chanel primer, foundation, powder, brushes, everything. No wonder when a new Chanel foundation launches, I rush to a department store immediately to see it for myself and to perhaps buy it. There was no difference with Perfection Lumiere either. I was not so over the Moon with the packaging because I am used to the way Chanel products are presented - but it is of course gorgeous, exquisite and luxurious, one of the reasons why we love Chanel. The bottle is a matt glass and it has a pump. There is 3O ml of foundation in it. Now, I apply this foundation with my Chanel foundation brush which makes it look more beautiful than when I apply it with my fingertips. It makes me have perfect and radiant skin. I really like this foundation. It is very very long-lasting but I would still recommend to use the Poudre Universelle Libre of Chanel with this foundation and perhaps on all Chanel foundations. I will not burst into tears when this product is discontinued, but I will keep using it regularly until then.

Liquid -Chanel - Vitalumiere Aqua
Remarkable 4/3/2012 9:25:00 AM
Where to start.... I think I have found my foundation soul mate, the foundation love of my life !!! On the Chanel Makeup website, they say that this foundation feels and looks like a second layer of perfect skin and I could not agree more with this statement. I love it that with this foundation on, I look like wearing no foundation but my skin looks gorgeous, healthy and radiant, plus my makeup stays on for quite a long time. I also think that this product is very economic, I am sure i will be suing it for a long time, because now I have been using it every single day for 4 weeks and the little container is still full. I also love it that this foundation is put in a plastic container which makes it light and easily portable. I recommend to always put some translucent powder on when wearing this foundation, otherwise it will not be very long-lasting though! If I found out this foundation is to be discontinued, I would buy a dozen of it and save them for special occasions.

Primer/ Corrector -Lancome - La Base Pro
Remarkable 4/3/2012 9:20:00 AM
I have been using Lancome's La Base Pro primer since the beginning of March, so I think I am entitled to review it by now. Let's see the presentation first. It comes in the well-known lovely Lancome silver packaging and in a glass bottle with a pump. So it is easily portable and practical. There is 25 ml of product in the bottle which is 5 ml less than in the Chanel primers for example. It does make my skin smoothed, radiant and gorgeous but it does not make my makeup last any longer than it does without it. Also, it has an unpleasant smell of oil or fuel which I personally do not like. The biggest concern of mine is that I am already running out of the product just after 1 month of using it which is not very cost-efficient. I do not think I will repurchase this primer. Now I am trying Le Blanc by Chanel.

Primer/ Corrector -Chanel - Le Blanc de Chanel - Sheer Illuminating Base
Remarkable 4/3/2012 9:15:00 AM
I bought this primer yesterday, so I cannot give you any final review on it but I would like to share my first thoughts with you. Those who know Chanel makeup do not need a presentation of the luxurious package and the exquisite glass bottle the product comes in. I do not like it though that this primer does not have a pump. I found a little white stick in the package and it was written in the instructions to put it in the bottle and how much comes out with the stick should be enough for the entire face. I should try never to put my fingers in the bottle, I wouldn't find that very hygienic. The liquid itself is white but grabbing it into the skin it becomes invisible. It feels nice but my skin does not become as smooth as it does with my Lancome La Base Primer. On the other hand, I must admit that my makeup is definitely lasting longer with this Chanel Le Bland Primer. I will keep you posted about my more developed opinion later. Let me know if you are interested.
