Lipstick -Vincent Longo - SPF 15 Lip Stain in Eve Rose
Redhead58 11/22/2005 8:05:00 PM
I ordered this from Sephora, thinking it was going to be a lighter shade of rose. I was a bit surprised to see how deep the color is, and was nervous that it was going to make my already-very-pigmented lips even darker, but I LOVE this color. Sheer and goes on smooth, and looks really really really good. I'm going to buy this one again, definitely.

Lipstick -Avon - My Lip Miracle
Redhead58 11/8/2004 10:51:00 PM
I bought this in Totally Twig at the intro price of $4.50. It's darker than what I had hoped for, and since I have fairly pigmented lips I applied it sparingly. I don't know why they're calling this an 8-hour lipstick because it's not. It feels nice going on, but doesn't last and doesn't really moisturize all that well. I like Avon's Brilliant Moisture lipstick much better.

Picked these up, along with some eyeliner pencils, at the dollar store. I have Toast, Heather, Soft Pink, Sea Mist, and Mint. Very nice quality for a dollar. Not a whole lot of pigment but it's good "at work" makeup. I'll definitely go back and repurchase. I'm not a snob when it comes to saving money!!

Lip Treatments -Burt's Bees - Beeswax Lip Balm
Redhead58 3/23/2004 7:32:00 PM
I bought two of these in pot form at BBW for $2.50 apiece. The tin is cute, takes up hardly any room in my purse, but I would have done just as well buying Blistex at Wally World for a dollar. Feels okay at first, then disappears in seconds. I'm just not into reappyling lip balms every five seconds. I'll give the unopened tin away and chalk this one up to experience.

Eye Shadow -Revlon - Eye Glide Shadow [DISCONTINUED]

Love, love, love these. Avon sells the exact same thing for $9. The Revlon ones can be had for less than $6 a pop at Wal Mart. I have this in Nude, Berry, and Lilac, and plan to get others. They go on effortlessly and blend well. I love the applicator too!! Well worth the money and the trip to Wal Mart!!

Eyeliner -Rimmel - Exaggerate Full Colour Eye Definer (all colours)
Redhead58 10/14/2003 4:41:00 AM
I bought this in Aubergine, a very nice purple shade. These are just like Avon's Glimmersticks, but the Rimmel ones have a sharpener on the end, which is a downfall of Glimmersticks--no way to get it really sharp. I'm loving the Rimmel one. Goes on smoothly, no tugging. I wish it lasted longer, though. After an 8-hour workday it's pretty well gone. But I'll definitely repurchase in some other colors, as well as Aubergine.

Eye Shadow -Max Factor - eyeshadow singles
Redhead58 9/29/2003 10:15:00 PM
I really like these! I have them in Nude Scene, Sunset Scene (kind of a tawny-goldish color), and Plum Perfection. My one gripe is that the screw-on lid doesn't always stay tight in my makeup bag. But for the price, and for Max Factor's reputation (they've been around for YEARS)....I'll buy more. Doesn't seem to crease and a little goes a long way.

Lip Gloss -Jane - Megabites Glossy Gloss in Clearly Pink
Redhead58 9/16/2003 3:29:00 AM
I guess I'm in the minority 'cause I love this one. Just enough color to brighten up my lips, just enough shine as well, and I love the consistency. Not 100% thrilled with the flavor, but all in all I'm really liking this!

I've used these for years and years! My staple color is medium brown. Just no better eyeliner, IMO.

I've been using these ever since they came out. The last reviewer said what I was thinking--it's "oddly gratifying" to look at one after using it! I love everything about these....the price, the quality, even the feel of them. I repurchase all the time!

Lip Treatments -Blistex - Silk & Shine
Redhead58 4/17/2003 4:05:00 AM
Looks like I'm in the minority here when I say I love this stuff. True, you have to reapply it often, but it's inexpensive and makes my lips soft and shiny and the scent/taste is great. I keep several on hand. Will and do repurchase!!

Eye Shadow -Jane - eye zing linking duos
Redhead58 4/10/2003 4:59:00 PM
I just purchased my first one, in Night and Day. Night is a shimmery darker silver, and Day is...well, it's a light turquoise-mint green color. Perfect for daytime when I just want a little color. I bought this at Wal Mart but there weren't many colors to choose from, which is typical of that store. Their shelves are often empty. But! I'll keep looking, and repurchase. They're great in a small makeup bag.

Shampoo -Garnier - Fructis Fortifying Shampoo

Hated it! Dried my hair out horribly, and the scent didn't stay on my hair. I'd rather use Finesse, or pretty much anything!!

Pressed Powders -Rimmel - Stay Matte Pressed Powder (ALL)
Redhead58 4/8/2003 10:20:00 AM
I LOOOOOOOOOOOOVE this powder!! I have it in Translucent, and about twice a month I head to Wal Mart and buy several just to have on hand in my makeup kit. It makes my skin look flawless, goes on smooth, has no odor, and is less than three dollars American. There's no way you can miss with this product. I apply it with a huge powder brush and just fluff it on. This is my absolute favorite pressed powder.

Liquid -Maybelline - Ever Fresh Makeup [DISCONTINUED]
Redhead58 4/8/2003 10:00:00 AM
I have mixed feelings about this makeup. It stays on all day for me with no streaks or separation; but....it has to be put on with a very light hand (and a very clean makeup sponge) or else it looks "dirty." I have it in Natural Beige. It's a decent "everyday" (as in work) makeup, but I'll still keep a bottle of Revlon's Colorstay on hand. I'm not horribly crazy about the smell of this stuff either. All in all.....a decent foundation, good coverage, but not as good as Colorstay, as far as drugstore makeup. And I'm wayyyyyyyyyyy too cheap to buy high-end foundation :)
