Bronzers -Urban Decay - Baked Bronzer
rated 4 of 5

I think this is a really great bronzer if you fall into the PPP-LLL range, which I do. I also am cool toned with red hair, and a lot of bronzers look extremely orange on me. Not so with this one! I get a nice natural looking glow, and there is a slight shimmer, but nothing overwhelming and barely noticeable. I also use it on my eyes when I'm in a rush in the morning. I haven't tried it wet, but if I do I will update my review. For now, I will repurchase.

Blush -MAC - Mineralize Skinfinish in Gold Spill
rated 3 of 5
RedBetty 1/25/2008 9:05:00 PM

I picked this up at the CCO, so it wasn't a bad deal. I purposely looked through the stack and picked the one with the least amount of brown veining it it. Mine is evenly balanced with the pink and cream colors, with a few veins of brown. Very pretty to look at. I really do not care for the texture of this, since my first MSF was Stereo Rose and it has the softest, most beautiful texture. This one is grittier in comparison. I wear it like a bronzer, but not as a bronzer. I'm quite fair and on the cool side, so it gives me a nice color with a subtle shimmer. It's really not all that special and I don't think I will reach for it to much, so I'd say I would not repurchase.

Eye Shadow -Too Faced - Galaxy Glam in Shooting Star
rated 4 of 5
RedBetty 1/18/2008 7:44:00 PM

For reference, cool toned PPP, red hair, brown eyes. This is a soft textured formulation, reminds me of mineralize e/s. This particular shade is a true, deep black swirled with gold and pearl colors. It's great for a dramatic, smoky evening eye. The black is great alone for lining, and swirled together it is beautifully sparkley, but not in an obvious glittery way. I'm terrible when it comes to black eyeshadow, but I found this surprisingly workable. I did not use a primer or anything with it, and found the staying power to be excellent as well. I believe I would repurchase this.

Concealers -Jane Iredale - Circle Delete
rated 4 of 5
RedBetty 1/10/2008 9:02:00 AM

I use this in #2, which contains a peachy pink color as well as a very pale color. I love the peachy pink on the under eye area, it conceals dark circles very well and even though I'm JI Light Beige or EM Fair, it is not too dark for that use. The light side works well for blemishes, although I prefer loose mineral concealor for that purpose. I've pretty much used up the pink side, and I am repurchasing. I lost one lippy because the price is high for concealer, $29 USD.

Blush -Everyday Minerals - Anytime
rated 4 of 5
RedBetty 12/10/2007 10:41:00 AM

Cool toned PPP, red hair, brown eyes. This is an interesting coloring. It looks a little off-putting in the jar but I like this one a lot. It wears more like a soft, sheer, cool pink. It really is hard to overdo. I don't know if it's the colors I happened to pick from EM, but other loose mineral blushes have always been really easy to go overboard with, and these are always soft and buildable. I do think the lasting power of this leaves something to be desired, but blush always has a way of disappearing on me, so I'm not too picky about that. I believe I would repurchase this shade.

Eye Shadow -Everyday Minerals - Eyeshadow in Pink Pajamas
rated 4 of 5
RedBetty 12/9/2007 12:33:00 PM

Cool toned PPP, red hair, brown eyes. So I got this in the mail last night along with a sample kit and other small sized blushes and some natural reflection. I had to play with it right away, so I put it on as a wash using the foiling technique. It is a very soft pink with lots of sparkle. No red tones in it, it didn't make me look like an albino rabbit, luckily. I don't wear a lot of pink e/s, since I have red hair and can come away looking like a circus performer, but I see myself returning to this one to wear as a highlighter or wash. I hate saying I would *never* buy it again, but really it's not HG and EM has a few other pink colors I'd like to try, so I'll say No to the repurchase, but I am keeping it and I'm glad I have it in my collection.

Blush -Everyday Minerals - Splendid
rated 4 of 5

Cool toned PPP, Fair seems to be the best fdtn match for me in this line. Red hair, brown eyes. I was intrigued by all of the purple toned blushed this line has. I'm generally a peach pink girl, but I can't go to0 warm since it clashes with my skin. I picked out this true lilac with subtle sparkle just to try something different. I purchased the small size, where you pick out six items for $18USD. It is really subtle, and I agree with the reviewer below me about it being more like a color corrector. What it did was kind of counteract the high red color I tend to get in my face. It wears really well and is pretty, no settling into my large pores. I think I would use this more over other blushes, like a highlighter.

Samples -Everyday Minerals - Free Sample Makeup Kit [DISCONTINUED/REPLACED]
rated 5 of 5
RedBetty 12/9/2007 12:22:00 PM

I think this is a great idea! The sample sizes are about the size of Bare Minerals e/s, maybe a tad smaller. I ordered fair, fair neutral, and sandy fair. Fair is perfect, the other two are wearable, so I'm going to use those. If you are unsure of which colors, just determine whether you are more cool or more warm, and go from there, because they seem to blend well. The shipping was longer then what other reviewers have said, but I did order other products and it was during a 10% off sale, so I'm sure there was higher than normal volume. I ordered intensive, and before I order my full size I think I am going to sample the other finishes first. I am going to review the blush I picked as a separate entry. Overall, the quality is great, my pores are not HUGE like with other mineral companies, and the coverage with intensive is excellent.

Lip Gloss -DuWop - Pink Shimmer
rated 2 of 5
RedBetty 12/2/2007 10:08:00 PM

I feel a bit redundant reviewing the Lip Venom, but since I got the trio I feel obligated. :) For the record, neither the pink nor the shimmer particularly show up on my lips. My lips look nice and shiny but really this product does nothing for me. So not worth the price, imho. I'm wearing what I have but I would not repurchase nor purchase the full size.

Lip Gloss -DuWop - Lip Venom 2nd Sin
rated 2 of 5
RedBetty 12/2/2007 10:04:00 PM

Pretty much the same as the regular Venom, but slightly cool feeling on the lips instead of slightly warm. My lips look nice and shiny but really this product does nothing for me. So not worth the price, imho. I'm wearing what I have (I got the little trio set) but I would not repurchase nor purchase the full size.

Palettes -Too Faced - Mini The Quickie Chronicles - The Sure Thing
rated 5 of 5
RedBetty 12/2/2007 9:59:00 PM

This is my first QC and I Love it! I'm not overly familiar with the line, so I can't name the colors, but there are two glosses, one peach with warm shimmer, one pink with warm shimmer, a peach blush, and a striped eyeshadow with warm chocolate brown, minty green, soft pink, and soft yellow, all with subtle gold shimmer. When I got this, I was afraid of the bright pink gloss, but it is really quite wearable. All of the colors look super bright, like a box of candy. They go on sheer but still with high color impact. This did not disappoint, and for $15 I will buy more.

Lipstick -BeneFit Cosmetics - 24k Sexy Gold lipstick [DISCONTINUED]
rated 2 of 5
RedBetty 12/2/2007 9:49:00 PM

This IS the most expensive lipstick I have ever purchased. Generally I go no more expensive then MAC. But, I'm a sucker for packaging. It is very sheer, but pretty. I wear it over a lipliner or other lipstick, and it gives a nice effect. I think I was looking for something with a little more oomph though. I'm glad it's in my collection, I'm holding onto it and I use it, but I wouldn't repurchase.

Eye Shadow -Urban Decay - Deluxe eyeshadow - Graffiti
rated 4 of 5
RedBetty 12/2/2007 7:38:00 PM

PPP with brown eyes. I do like this green, a lot. However I do not pull it out very often. It's a bright neon kelly green, not exactly an everyday shade. I use it in the crease or to line mostly. Glad I have it in my collection and I think I will purchase more deluxe shades.

Treatments -Paula's Choice - Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Gel Exfoliant
rated 4 of 5
RedBetty 12/2/2007 7:31:00 PM

I use this in the evening after cleansing and before differin gel. I am thinking this works well, I added it pretty soon after I started my duac and differin regime so it could be an or all of them. It's not hurting so I keep using it. My skin is a lot clearer, and bha is supposed to help with product penetration. The formula is sticky. I could not not see myself using this in the daytime. I haven't tried the liquid or lotion formulations, but I do have samples of them so if I like one of those better I would switch, but for now I would continue to purchase the gel formulation.
