I have no idea why this is breaking people out but I have the most acne-prone skin and I never broke out from this, but thats not the point. I used this for about five months- at first I loved it...loooooved it. It made my face glowy and it covered really well...but after about the fourth month of use I noticed that wen I took my makeup off, my face was really getting dried out..like it was looking like a raisin. My skin appeared 7 years older and zapped off all moisture. I threw it out and found an amazing moisturizer- thank god-and my face is looking a lot better. I don't know what is in this stuff, but whatever it is, it slowly sucks the life out of your skin.

Liquid -Revlon - SPA Age Defying Foundation [DISCONTINUED]

omg this stuff is fantastic. I consider myself a label wh*re, so I usually only use department store stuff. But I was tight on money so I tried this. So glad I did, (I get better results using a brush to apply it, so this is reviewed under this method.) It brightened and even my skin tone and it gives me a slightly (very very slight) dewy look without any sparkles. I dont see any shimmer, but I still look lit from within. My favorite part is that is covers my huge nose pores and makes them look airbrushed. Nothing ever does that. I mildly combo skin, so this actually feels like it moisturizes some areas but doesnt make the greasy spots worse. I will definitely repurchase. I will update if i change my mind, but i cant see that happening unless it breaks me out.

Liquid -Rimmel - Lasting Finish Enriched w/ Minerals
rated 5 of 5

I bought this cuz I was broke and needed a quick liquid foundation. I just figured Id get this since it was so cheap. I didnt even care how good it was. I put it on and my face instantly looked flawless and brighter. LIke i had airbrushed it. And it gave a bronzey glow without looking like a mask. It stays on for a while too. Doesnt smudge off and doesn't break me out (yet); I break out very easily so hopefully I can continue to say that as time goes on.

Powder -Bare Escentuals - Bare Minerals ALL

As I'm writing this I'm almost in tears. I've been using the foundation off and on for a combined time of about 2 years. I purchased it, used it for a month and put it away. After rediscovery, a year later, I was in love. My face was flawless, yet natural. The pores were filled in, and I had a lit-from-within-look. My face looked airbrushed! I vowed never to stray. After about a year of my love affair, I developed a "a acne-like rash." (quoting my doctor). I had deep, red, bumps on my cheeks which never formed a head, like a normal zit. And little red spots with a white tip along my jaw and on my neck. These were not the same as my normal acne, as the white tip on these was not puss filled, but a solid white mass (very small mass, mind you.). I went on antibiotics for 6 weeks and it all cleared up. But after the treatment, it all came back-although less severe. I never made the connection, until today. It's been five days since I've used the foundation, (due to being sick and not needing foundation, since I'm not going anywhere). My face is clearing up on it's own now. I'm so sad. I loved this foundation. I may even try it once more, just to make sure that it's really the culprit.

Mascara -Rimmel - Glam Eyes
rated 5 of 5
Rayvin400 4/7/2009 4:00:00 PM

After normally spending $25+ for mascara, I decided to try a cheap-o mascara for the fun of it. To my surprise this out performed the Fresh Supernova, Px false lashes, and a myriad of Lancome mascaras in my stash. I have very short, blond, straight lashes-however I have a lot of 'em. With the fist sweep of the extreme black formula my lashes were curled to a point where they touched the bottom of my eyebrows. Lashes were separated, clump-free, curled and noticeable longer! The only down side I've noticed is that it can be sort of a biznatch to remove. But it's worth it, because of the results and the price.

Mascara -Clinique - High Impact Mascara
rated 5 of 5
Rayvin400 3/11/2009 5:03:00 AM

I bought this product about a year ago after the SA recommended it. I got home and wasn't impressed. I tossed it in the drawer and went to buy Lancome. One year later, after digging in my cosmetic graveyard, I pulled it out and applied one coat...two coats..three coats. I was stunned. My puny, short blond lashes were dark, long and curled. It really looked like I had false eyelashes on. I immediately put it back into my active use cosmetic stash. I'm glad I gave it another try.

Treatments -Ojon - Restorative Hair Treatment
rated 2 of 5
Rayvin400 12/26/2008 5:10:00 PM

I wanted to love this, and although it is fun to apply, that is where the fun ends. It has a very musky smell, like hippies and cigars. I don't mind the smell actually, and it did not linger after I washed my hair. It washes out well and did not leave my hair oily. After following the directions my hair (which wasn't that bad in the first place), was a mess. This 'conditioning' crap actually made my ends cripsy and tangled. Please don't waste your money on this.

Lips -Unlisted Brand - Aquafina Hydrating Lip Oil
rated 1 of 5
Rayvin400 8/30/2008 5:34:00 AM

This is a review for the original lip oil in the squeezy tube. This stuff burns my cracked lips, and that's enough to make me pitch it. After my first application dried up my lips were just as bad. This stuff feels like melted vaporub on my lips and the taste is just repulsive; like a cough medicine/chemicals. This is a fine product for those with lips in good condition already--if you can stand the abnormal taste. But, if your lips need to be healed I advise you to look elsewhere.

Lip Treatments -Blistex - Deep Renewal
rated 5 of 5
Rayvin400 8/24/2008 3:44:00 PM

I bought this on a whim, after giving up on the SH, Night Renewal Treatment. I must say the ingredients caught my eye at first, and second the spf. I wasn't expecting much, but this is heavenly. The texture glides on the lips and actually sinks in rather than just sitting on top. First application all my gross lip flakies were gone and the dry lines were too. So far so good. Then something unexpected happened; after the balm appeared to be off my lips, I didn't need to re-apply! This actually changes the and improves the condition of your lips!

Brows -Clinique - Superfine Liner for Brows
rated 5 of 5
Rayvin400 5/11/2008 11:42:00 PM

LOVE! I couldn't be without this product. It was love at first application. It gave me a wonderful natural color, in all lights. It is really easy to shape the brow and fill in sparse areas. I can even color the whole brow in without looking like a first-time drag queen. My only complaints are that the product only lasts about 3 weeks after daily application. If that wasn't bad enough the clicker does not retract the product; once it's up it's up. And sometimes small bits of the product break off with no forewarning. I, being the queen of cheap, overlook these faults because nothing can make my brows look like this, with so little effort. I look like a brow model. I would die if they discontinued it. Try it once at least!

Lip Treatments -Sally Hansen - Overnight Lip Recovery
rated 5 of 5
Rayvin400 5/1/2008 10:07:00 PM

After 7 months of constant dry, flaky lips I began searching for lip treatments. It was hard finding one in my area that didn't "plump" too. I finally found this flashy number at Walgreens, and despite the price I bought it (I was desperate). I didn't expect much, considering the other SH products I have purchased were craptastic. This has a light mint scent that didn't transfer to taste. Not that I'm going around eating the thing, but you understand. It also didn't make my lips tingle, like other mint lip products. The white, translucent paste-like product coats the lips making them feel silky and extremely moisturized. It's not a gloss, but it gives my lips a nice sheen, and smoothes out all the flakes and vertical dry lines (not greasy or sticky). It sounds weird but the consistency (only comparing consistency) of it on the lips would be like slightly moist, thinned-out toothpaste. My dry lips were instantly quenched and that's the bottom line. The product stayed on for at least two hours, providing I didn't lick my lips, eat or drink. The effects of the treatment lasted much longer. I may be imagining things, but I feel that my lips have become fuller over the few weeks I have been using it. I have already re-purchased, but this time on a bidding site. It's like 10 bucks cheaper there. Can be used at night and during the day. UPDATED: Aug 23rd. I found somthing better, this did nothing long-term for my lips at all. It only worked when I put it on, and then my lips would revert to normal!

Mascara -Bobbi Brown - Everything Mascara
rated 1 of 5
Rayvin400 4/15/2008 8:52:00 PM

They should rename this "the nothing mascara," because that's what it does; nothing. I have short, dark-blond lashes and I love a bit of lash drama. This did not do it. Literally, after applying 3 coats it still looked like I had not applied mascara. I had three coats on! On the plus side, there was no clumping; but then again there wasn't anything-- at all. I guess it darkened my lashes a bit, which isn't hard since they're blond. I would recommend this mascara to women who wear brown mascara because they think black would be too harsh. Think of this as a training bra to brave, brazen blacks. If you like the look of perfectly natural lashes, then you would like this. If you're looking for anything else, then I recommend anything else.

Self Tanners -Sally Hansen - Airbrush Sun - Especially for Body
rated 1 of 5
Rayvin400 4/8/2008 5:56:00 AM

I have been using self tanners for about 9 years now; therefore, I am no self-tan rookie. I had my misfortunes in high school, and occasionally I would have to wear a turtleneck in the summer. Years later, I figured out how to do it, and I could get a streak-free glow from almost any product. However, this little spray-can from hell made me feel like I was at the bottom of the how-to-self-tan rung again. I had no idea where this was going when I put it on; I might as well have been blind-folded. I would spray a part of my leg, then go to rub it in only to find that it had already dried. SERIOUSLY? How is this supposed to be streak/spot free if I can't rub it in? So, after being quite sure that I would awaken the next morning as an orange zebra, I went to bed. The next morning I was quite surprised when I noticed that I had not been bronzed at all. I was still pale; only now I had a yellowish cast to me accented with round golfball sized spots unstrategically splattered down my legs. Cute. Really Cute. This is garbage. The only compaint I don't have is the smell. I can handle that...it is after all, a self tanner. Don't waste your money on this can-o-crap. You're better of with ANYTHING else.

Sunscreen -Neutrogena - Age Shield Sunblock SPF 30
rated 4 of 5
Rayvin400 3/26/2008 8:58:00 PM

I love this product. I must say, I experience the balling too. But, I've noticed that this is a mild exfoliating effect; my skin appears less dull and dry-line free after two months of using it. I used to have dry lines on my forehead, but they are now gone. I have really dry skin and this moisturizes me all day long too! I love it. The only complaint I have is, that after about a month the ingredients seem to separate, and I have to shake the contents back together. I have no problem with they drying time...about 3 minutes. Don't touch your face for 5 minutes after application, and you won't have any "balling" problems.

LOVE! It smells like high-end shampoo on me. So, it just makes me smell clean and pretty. I smell peachy notes in it, which I just love. It lasts all day, and is never overpowering.
