Blush -Hard Candy - Hide & Glow Cheek Duo Tint
Raygirl007 8/30/2012 1:24:00 PM
Got this at Walmart for 6.00 today, sucked in by the cute packaging and seemingly large amount of product for the price (I got the peachy one called "In Love".) . However, like other reviewers have said it is very greasy and doesn't show much color. If you want more color you need to keep plastering it on, but then your cheeks are sticky. Not good. Wanted it to work but will be returning it. (Wish I had MUA reviews when I'm at the store. I always buy it and THEN look at the reviews later! Oh well. I'm a sucker for cuteness and their packaging is always so cute!) P.S. I would recommend the NYX cream blush stick instead, I got that a few weeks ago at Ulta and it is very nice. Much smaller item for about the same price as this, but much better quality, staying power, blending, etc.!

Self Tanners -L'Oreal - Sublime Bronze Luminous Bronzer Self-tanning Lotion
Raygirl007 8/2/2012 12:10:00 PM
My favorite self-tanner. I love the subtle sparkle to it, looks nice even before it "deepens" so I put it on first thing in the morning before I go to work (if I'm wearing a skirt) and don't feel like my legs look pasty and bare. To get it off my hands, I use GOJO (Home Depot, etc.) which is only about 2.79 for a bottle of it! The pumice takes it all off and never leaves my hands stained. And it smells great!

Mascara -L'Oreal - Voluminous False Fiber Lashes
Raygirl007 7/18/2012 12:46:00 AM
Had high hopes for this since I am growing out my lashes after some bad extensions that I removed myself (with plenty of my eyelashes). It was dry, took about 5 coats to get the lengthening/extending effect and left my stumpy lashes looking fatter, but gobby and gross. I slept overnight in it (the REAL test of a mascara, LOL) and it flaked all over my face. Yuck. Taking it back to the store tomorrow. Positives: I liked the gold tube it is packaged in and the smaller brush.

Misc Beauty Tools -Ardell - LashTite Adhesive
Raygirl007 10/15/2010 12:22:00 AM
Loved the look of the flare lashes, did the whole eye and they stayed on for about a week with the outside flares falling off on their own. However, the middle ones were stuck on like crazy and the remover that comes with the kit only took off some of them, despite trying baby oil, etc. I lost about 20 eyelashes (combined) I would guess removing them and the last couple of flares were almost impossible! I even cut them short to match my own while I tried to figure out some other ways to get them off. Anyway, I think I will only put these flares on the outside edges next time (once my eyelashes grow back :-( because those seem to fall off the easiest. I think the remover needs to be WAY better for this stuff! I used clear which did look "gunky" after a couple days, like some of the other reviewers noted.

Palettes -Stila - Pretty in Paris Palette
Raygirl007 10/15/2010 12:04:00 AM
Just got this today at Ulta (greenish blue cover) and thought it was a good value for ten bucks. Love the cute slim package and magnet closure but not sure if it is sturdy enough to keep in my purse. The "convertible color" is a bit dry for lips IMHO but I love the color on my cheeks. It is a nice peachy/pink that goes well with my auburn hair. The shadows are all really nice complementary shades as well. Don't have any other Stila products but will try this out and see if it's better than drugstore brands. . .

Brows -Ardell - lash starter kit
Raygirl007 10/3/2010 9:40:00 PM
Got this kit (individual lashes) on E-Bay for about 6.00. It came with tweezers and small bottles of adhesive and remover. Took about 20 minutes to apply the individual "fan" lashes and they look really good! I was worried they would feel weird but they feel MUCH better than strip lashes I have tried in the past. I was worried at first that the glue didn't seem to stick right away but I finally left them alone and now they seem to be on pretty good. Not sure how long they will last, but even if they last a week it was worth it! I bought the Ardell mascara for fake lashes at Sally Beauty Supply (about 6.00 as well) but will put it on tomorrow for work so I can't comment on it yet. UPDATE: The mascara worked well and didn't seem to smudge much. I didn't really wash it off either though. It seemed to sort of just disappear. They lasted about a week before all the flares at the outside edges were gone (fell off) but the middle ones were stuck on like crazy. The remover only removed about 3/4's of what was left and I would say I lost about 20 eyelashes in the process. I don't think I would do the whole eye again after this experience due to the difficulty in getting them all off. I tried waterproof mascara remover, baby oil, repeatedly tried the "lashtite remover" to no avail. A couple days later they finally came off (with several lashes I am sure). ONLY USE THIS IF YOU CAN AFFORD TO LOSE A FEW LASHES!

Toners -Unlisted Brand - isopropyl alcohol
Raygirl007 7/16/2010 2:44:00 AM
Best HG skin product EVER for anyone with problems with folliculitis (usu. caused by Staph bacteria) and acne. I have used Benzyl Peroxide, Differin, Proactiv, Retin-A, Neosporin, antibiotics, bla bla bla. . .the same as everyone else plagued with skin problems and NOTHING has helped like this! I read that rubbing alcohol kills staph bacteria and immediately starting using it. At first, the fumes stung my eyes (even though I didn't get close) so I diluted a bottle of it with water (1:1) and it seems to work just as well. I have somewhat oily skin (hate moisturizer) and it doesn't dry out my skin at all, just makes it feel smooth and very clean. I use it once a day or maybe every other day and have been using it for a few month's now. It is the most awesome stuff out there for dirt cheap! It makes me kind of sick to think of all the money I have spent trying to solve my skin problems when the answer was in a $1 bottle already sitting in my medicine chest. SPREAD THE WORD!

Lip Treatments -Unlisted Brand - Rubbing Alcohol
Raygirl007 7/16/2010 2:31:00 AM
Best HG product I have found for my skin! After being plagued by Folliculitis on my face and not wanting to keep going on antibiotics (caused by Staph bacteria) I searched for something to kill the bacteria and found that the ointment Bactroban works for it but is prescription only (didn't want to pay co-pay to see Dr. just for a slip of paper). I finally stumbled on the fact that rubbing alcohol kills staph and every other type of bacteria, so started using it as a daily toner. It worked really well but the fumes stung my eyes. Then I diluted it with half water, half rubbing alcohol and it is still working very well! Didn't notice any difference in the full-strength vs. half strength. Didn't know about the cold sore thing til I read the other reviews on here, but will definitely be trying that too! Definitely recommend. Best skin bacteria killer out there! And cheap as dirt!

Lipstick -Flirt - High Wattage 19 Ace
Raygirl007 6/3/2010 2:23:00 PM
Long lasting as a lip stain. It is too bright as lipstick, but if applied and after a few minutes wiped off, makes a better stain than most lip stains! You really have to WANT to have your lips stand out like Lady GaGa to use this stuff full strength, which is why I wouldn't purchase it again, only because I think I will have it for years (since it's not something I use that often). But, hey, they sure didn't scrimp on the pigment!

Lipstick -Maybelline - Color Sensational Spicy Cinnamon
Raygirl007 6/3/2010 2:16:00 PM
Really great color! Long lasting lipstick. Wore it all day at work and it was still visible when I got home, which I like. I also got it at the Grocery store from a display and am really pleased with it. It is creamy, smooth and a color which is very flattering (and not often seen). I would call it a soft brick which goes really well with my auburn hair. It also has a nice mild fragrance and taste.

Eyeliner -Wet 'n' Wild - Mega Eyes Creme Eyeliner - Black
Raygirl007 5/4/2010 2:45:00 PM
WOW, this eyeliner has staying power! It is as close to having your eyeliner tattooed on for the week as you can get without actually getting it done! Don't expect it to smudge with water though, you need to smudge it while it is still wet or start all over (if you are going for a smoky lid as well as eyeliner). I am thinking of transferring it into a small glass jar (the tiny face cream kind from those Dept. store gift-with-purchase sets) to keep it from drying out because like everyone says, the container lid is cheap plastic and doesn't really feel like it is airtight when closed. It is very impressive stuff though for 3.99! I think it is better lasting than any of the drugstore no-budge eyeliners out there (such as Colorstay) and easier to apply (with the right brush).

Fragrances -Avon - Brazil Beat EDT
Raygirl007 5/4/2010 2:35:00 PM
I find I use this more often than other bottles on my desk during the day because it is great smelling and light (not really long lasting though). The tall skinny bottle makes it easy to grab! Just ordered the lotion and shower gel from an Avon Outlet book for only $2.25 each!

Lip Liners -Jordana - Easyliner for Lips in Rock n' Rose
Raygirl007 2/28/2010 10:10:00 AM
This has been my HG lip liner for years! Have tried all other brands to find a good "nude" (which seems like it should be easy but is practically IMPOSSIBLE). For me this is the best color, long lasting and cheap! It is $1.50 when you buy 2 at a time (Walgreens). Alot of the time it is sold out so I stock up on this color when I see it!

Polishes -Rimmel - Lasting Finish Pro Enamel all shades, new square bottle
Raygirl007 2/28/2010 1:15:00 AM
Just bought this today. It went on very smooth (color is "Gold Silk"). The second coat gave a nice finish so I don't think I will put on a third. I really like the flat brush. The crown on the lid makes it easy to keep track of the flat side when it is covered in polish. I got it for 1.99 at Walgreens and am very impressed. I'm going to get more tomorrow in more colors. I don't know how long it lasts, but the bottle is really nice and it seems like quality polish.

Mascara -L'Oreal - Double Extend Beauty Tubes
Raygirl007 2/9/2010 12:35:00 PM
Gives the longest lashes I have ever seen from a mascara (and I have dozens at home, just like the rest of you), but difficult to remove. I am wondering after reading reviews on MUA if some "batches" are easier to remove than others or if it depends on how much primer you use. I definitely bought the "not easy to remove" batch. Even with tons of warm/hot water, I still have to pick at my eyelashes to remove it, sometimes pulling out a couple in the process. So, I only use this mascara for a special occasion, not as a daily mascara due to the losing eyelashes part of removing it.
