Lip Treatments -Fresh - Sugar Lip Treatment SPF 15
Ravishingx3 2/28/2013 4:39:00 AM
Highly dislike the masky layer it leaves on my lips. Often find it leads to my lips pealing from excess hydration. Yes-easily fixed by exfoliation but leads to a bad cycle of lip pealing. Not good. Don't enjoy any of the Fresh products featuring sugar. The polish leaves me with the same feeling on my face...
Scrubs -Fresh - Sugar Face Polish with Strawberries
Ravishingx3 2/28/2013 4:37:00 AM
Definitely not for me. I highly dislike the "masky" layer it leaves behind. It almost feels like I have a mask of vasline left behind on my skin after rinsing off. I'd rather DIY my own sugar + strawberry mask.
Cleansers -Cetaphil - Cetaphil Gentle Cleansing Bar
Ravishingx3 2/28/2013 4:29:00 AM
I adore this cleanser. I use it on a daily basis am and pm. I have tried multiple cleansers available at Sephora but this has been the stand out cleanser for me. It has a very nice delicate smell, it lathers up to a beautiful creamy froth, and leaves my face feeling clean -never tight. I find that it has kept my blackheads/white heads to a minimum. It has not broken me out what so ever. Since I am acne prone at times where I feel "blemishy" I will wash with this once and then follow with the Oxy Clean 5% cleanser. The later is a TREATMENT cleanser while the former is a traditional gentle cleanser. So essentially the cetaphil gets my face super nice and clean so that the acne treatment can penetrate deeper and really target any developing spots. Using these two products has DRAMATICALLY changed my skin. LOVE. Paired with the glam glow masks and the Oxy 5% treatment and badabing badaboom you've got clear happy skin :)
Cleansers -Ponds - Clean Sweep Cleansing and Makeup Remover Towelettes
Ravishingx3 2/28/2013 4:20:00 AM
Never again! It didn't break my out (even though I'm super acne prone) BUT I'm allergic to something in it because it caused me to have a flare up of Milia. I don't like the diamond quilted pattern at all.... its too rough on my skin. They are not as soaked as I would prefer but oddly enough they start to develop a soapy foam on my face after rubbing a few times. Didn't remove my makeup that well. I feel like I experienced an increase in redness around the eye after this. Don't like that it is infused with perfume. Used 6-7x.. won't be finishing the pack. Mac wipes were better.
Cleansers -Oxy - Sensitive Face Wash 5% benzoyl peroxide
Ravishingx3 2/1/2013 6:33:00 AM
In Canada the 5% one is considered maximum strength (We dont sell 10% BP in drugstores... I THINK b/c I've looked and looked and looked with no luck!) and the 2.5% BP is for sensitive skin. My review is for the Canadian version: "Maximum Strength 5% BP cleanser" I've been using this product for.... 3 months and it has cleared up my acne better than many highend products. 1st I started by using this 3x a day (It was that bad) then down to 2x a day and now PM only. Slowly I'm shifting to 3x a week. Pretty happy with what this has given me for results. One key thing to note this is a TREATMENT cleanser. Do not wash off your makeup with this! I usually use a wipe/cleanse my face with the cetaphil bar and then once my face is nice and fresh I cleanse it again with this cleanser. It is a TREATMENT wash! It must be used as such! Use something super gently before hand and follow with this. On days where I don't apply makeup and ONLY use this cleanser on my face I find I get black heads the next day or so... this proves to me it is best used as a treatment paired with another product that thoroughly washes the face.
Love the Oxy 5% BP treatment. Use it nightly :) Have repurchased over 4-5x. In canada it costs $10+ for the little tube but alas it is worth it! It has cleared up my skin unlike anything else and I have access to high end acne products... but this one stands out over many things available @ high end makeup stores.
Super light weight... takes 2-3 minutes to fully absorb but it does vanish :) Smell is light Feels like a cream-gel 3pumps for pm 2 pumps for am, 1 pump under makeup Super acne prone... havent noticed any blemishes spark up Will continue to use this!! Using this in the winter I also use benzoyol peroxide products and glam glow masks :) Update 1 - Skins still looking and feeling happy :)
Liquid -L'Oreal - True Match Super-Blendable Makeup SPF 17
Ravishingx3 1/26/2013 4:27:00 AM
First Impression Shade - W4, looks pretty good! Maybe be .25 of a shade to dark but it is winter and I'm probably a little bit on the light side right now, MUFE HD #123 When swatched on my hand the silver shimmer specks really turned me off! But when applied to the skin it looked really nice! A very very natural glow without looking like a disco ball. Worn from 2:30pm-11pm - Did some errands + volunteering and it lasted. At times I felt oily but when I looked in the mirror I still looked nice... just a natural glow. I really liked it! Very lightweight! Couldn't even feel it on my face and blended in so well. Used w/ no primer on a freshly washed face. Concealed my scars nicely/toned them down well. 1st impression: Surprised how light yet long lasting it was. Coverage was great and it looked SUPER natural! Tried by blending with hands :) NO smell! Thank goodness! Enjoyed! Will update!! Feb 20th, 2013 UPDATE: OMGGGG! I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE THIS FDN!! HG STATUS!! Bumped it up to 5 lippies! Lasts alll day without a primer, I've been getting compliment left and right! this is a STAPLE!
-Coverage- Sheer to Medium -My shade - M50, willing to try m40. (Medium golden/olive skin) -Longevity alone- Shine within 4-6 hours... T zone troubles -Doesn't break me out -Used with a kabuki, the sponge applicator is crap - Doesn't effectively set my liquid foundations... - *meh* - Won't consider repurchasing till I try something new
Primer/ Corrector -Urban Decay - Complexion Primer Potion-Brightening
Ravishingx3 1/13/2013 3:54:00 AM
Does it brighten? Not at all but I prefer it this way Does it make foundation last longer? Yes Does it make complexion/foundation smother? Yes! Very much so! Does it provide oil control? No... requires blotting but prevents fdn from lifting off to much Repurchase? Not right now, willing to try others I feel like this causes me to get acne bumps under the skin. I hadn't used this in a week and half and my skin was nice. Then I used them and now my skin isn't smooth anymore. Will avoid this product for sake of my skin!
Cult favorite? This old thing? How is that even possible! I found my experience with this foundation to be sub par -nowhere near the HG product that other reviewers describe. This is a messy foundation! They should produce them with pumps or @ least sell an optional pump piece. This product is super fragrant! My first R.CS foundation years ago smelled like a chemical concoction. It was horrible! My most recent bottle smelt like a hybrid of a "wanna-be classy" fragrance over traces of chemical notes. I was able to smell the fragrance for about an hour and a half after applying. It made me queasy! SICK! In terms of application I didn't really enjoy it either... yes it is full coverage but holy crow is it ever thick and sticky! Full coverage does not have be thick or sticky! It didn't offer a nice finish, keep oil at bay as well as other claim (I don't even have oily skin, nor did I use an emollient product before hand), or look remotely polished. Anyone who thinks this foundation is HG should try MUFE mat velvet + foundation. I use high end foundation more often than not but have tried 2 drugstore foundations out of curiosity. The verdict?: Between the Revlon color stay and the maybelline dream mouse liquid I pick the latter! Sorry but into the trash this goes! 1 point for being full coverage
Conditioner -Unlisted Brand - Clear Scalp & Hair Therapy
Ravishingx3 12/12/2012 8:06:00 AM
** Clear Scalp Therapy Conditioner - Moisturizing Dry Scalp Version ** Loveeee it :) When paired with the shampoo it leaves my hair absolutely perfect! Soft, Fizzless, No tangles, Natural degree of volume, Silky! My favorite shampoo and conditioner combo is from the Alterna Caviar line which is about $60. The clean combo I'm reviewing doesn't hit it out of the water the way Alterna does but it sure comes closer than any other combo (high end or drugstore) that I have EVER tried. @ 7$ a bottle I'll take it! No complaints! It has given me beautiful, soft air dryed hair every single time! Can't stop playing with my hair! :) For reference I have super long, thick, wavy, dark brown hair. My longest layer falls 3/4 down my entire back.

** Clear Scalp Therapy Shampoo - Moisturizing Dry Scalp Version ** I absolutely adore this shampoo! It cleans my hair beautifully! It works up to a medium lather, rinses very silky, and leaves my hair feeling soft even before adding the conditioner. It smells clean and lady like without being overly fragrant. I find when paired with the conditioner my hair is left feeling VERY soft, tamed, and frizz-less. It also has a nice amount of volume. I can't stop touching my hair because of how soft it is. I'm really enjoying this product :) Picked it up @ Shoppers on sale and will re-purchase. I see that a lot of other versions have some negative reviews so I may stick to just this one as a precation but trust me! This one is wonderful! Most comparable to my all time favorite shampoo from the Alterna Caviar line ($60) for about $7 Cdn on sale :) For reference I have super long, thick, wavy, dark brown hair. My longest layer falls 3/4 down my entire back.
Cleansers -Cetaphil - Daily Facial Cleanser (Normal to Oily Skin)
Ravishingx3 12/6/2012 4:18:00 AM
I picked this up to use following my makeup remover to just freshen up my skin. Unfortunately it's causing me to break out here and there. Will try it a few more times to verify that it is the culprit but for now I'm almost certain. I am acne prone to begin with but mind you I wash my brushes every time I use them, always do my skin care routine, don't touch my face, change pillow cases etc .. I take EVERY preventative measure to prevent acne & this was the only thing I changed. Yep, cause Acne. I don't like the consistency it's this awkward cream-gel! I like the bar soap WAY better :)
Toners -Neutrogena - Acne Stress Control Triple-Action Toner
Ravishingx3 12/4/2012 8:56:00 PM
This was the only thing I changed in my regimen and it made my skin get super oily! Is that weird?! I found my oil production to by higher and makeup to wear away faster. I'm going to keep on trying it though :) Makes my skin feel fresh and supple after use. Will update :) ** Now that I think of it drying of the skin results in over production of oil to compensate for hydration loss. So perhaps this product did just that... tried out my skin a lot and caused significant amounts of oil. Will continue to test this out.
