What a pretty colour ! I do agree that it is a dirty plum, but does have obvious rosey undertones to it. I'm happy that this shade is matte, as it allows for a more natural seamless flush to the cheeks. This is easy to blend and can be be built up depending on how intense you'd like the colour to be, however on my tanned skin, about two dabs is more than enough. It shows up nicely on my complextion and I recommend it to those girls that have a tanned/olive complextion as it complements the skincolour very well. This blush will last me longer than I want, I think, lol..So, I find no need to purchase again, but it is most definitely a unique colour imo.
Eyeliner -Clinique - Cream Shaper for Eyes-Egyptian
RavenHairGirl 9/5/2005 6:31:00 PM
What a beautiful eyepencil. I've used various eye pencils for years and this one is way up there. This is a unique colour comparable to and better than MAC's buried treasure. This is a drk foresty midnight green with subtle shimmer. They apply very easily and softly, no tugging at all.. It didn't smudge on me either. The staying power may be a tad debateable, but I really like the texture and colour.
This colour is not for the timid. A very plummy drk browinsh wine colour - Great for the fall. It IS pigmented, not sheer at all and only one coat is needed or it'll be overkill. The texture is OK.. Staying power is great, though. Not drying.. but not moisturizing either. It's an OK lip product, I got it cuz it was on sale and probably won't purchase again.
I really like this lipstick. It's my first MAC lipstick. It's a beautiful medium pink (as other reviewers have mentioned) with a slight plummy tinge. It doesn't have any sparkles or shimmer. Just creamy, smooth elegant colour. This doesn't dry out my lips at all. It's a very nice colour on my very pigmented lips. I top it with summerfete TLC and it gives it a beautiful sheen/glow. I would buy again if I needed to, but I'm sure this will last me a while.
I looooooooooooooove this blush. This the first blush I've ever used and it's soo pretty, I don't wanna use too much of it, because it isn't available here in Canada. It's a rosey/coraly/peach and shows up wonderfully on my tanned / olive undertoned skin. It imparts a lovely rosey glow effortlessly and has light catching shimmers. I love love love love love it !
I'm sooooooo disappointed with this product. I really wanted to like it, but it doesn't show up on my tanned/olive skinned. I ADORE the cute lil tube and packaging, absolutely adorable. But I felt it was overpriced since it didn't really do anything or show up on me at all. Not on my cheeks or lips. It seems real good, though. I wouldn't buy it again..
What a beautiful versatile colour ! I love love love it. I don't see myself using the whole pigment jar, though..Because you only need a lil. This colour really makes my med brown eyes POP and enhances them. This is very shimmery just like all other pigments, so use a light hand depending on what type of intensity you'd like.
Eh... Not impressed with this eyeliner at all - I wish it had a bit more 'oomph' to it. I was expecting something a bit more 'oh lala' and all I got was a bit of ' ...la' if you know what i mean. A blackened colour with rusty/goldish shimmers. Subtle and somewhat pretty ..Doesn't last long on the waterline, but it doesn't smudge much either. For the price, I was not satisfied. Wouldn't repurchase.
I like this colour a lot, but not more than stereo rose (I tend to use SR more) This does make a lovely subtle all over highlighter w/o looking like a disco ball or overpowering - My only issue is that it does have the tendency to look a bit silverish on my tanned skin. I believe it emits a lovely sheen on the skin which would be flattering on just about any skintone. But again, please maake sure to use a light hand or else results may vary. I WOULD buy this SF again only because it's a good staple/neutral product to have on hand when you're tired and you need to look 'perked up'.
Moisturizers -Clinique - Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel
RavenHairGirl 8/30/2005 8:37:00 PM
This is a good/basic moisturizer. I've been using it for about 3 months now. No breaking out/irritation/dryness/oiliness. it does the job and moisturizes my skin. It doesn't improve the texture, though - as it claims to do - To me the texture of my skin feels the same. I would buy it again if I couldn't find something newer/better.
Cleansers -Alba Botanica - Hawaiian Pineapple Enzyme Facial Cleanser
RavenHairGirl 8/30/2005 8:36:00 PM
Let me make this very easy: I LOVE THIS CLEANSER !! It's natural, has great ingredients and smells delish ! It effectively removes traces of makeup, doesn't dry me out/break me out/irritate my skin. I'm very very happy with this cleanser and am running out so will have to pick up another one soon. I was hoping since there were pineapple enzymes in it that it would help fade some acne hyperpigmentation, but I haven't noticed too much of that.. But then again ,this is just a cleanser. It's gentle and gets the job done, my face feels clean after I've used it. I do however only use it once a day since it does have so many enzymes and it's been working wonderfully. For reference: Normaly/slightly oily skin / pimples during that time of month and a bit of hyperpigmentation from past pimples.
Sunset.. A VERY pretty colour. ESPECIALLY for tanned girlies. It just makes the complextion pop and look brighter and all sexy-like. It enhances my olive/tanned skin and allows for a sultry look. This gloss isn't for the timid, though. It does go on sheerer than it looks in the tube, but it is still a highly pigmented gloss and I recommend using a stroke or two and not more, or else you'll look like a clown. My problems with this particular gloss is that MAC has SO many shades similar to it, so I wouldn't necessarily buy it again - But this was my first MAC purchase and I was satisfied with it.
I really liked this skinfinish. It emits a rosey healthy glow - The colour could be flattering on nearly any skintone. I use it as a blush, because I feel it'd be too much as an all over highlighter. I haven't tried it as an e/s wash which some MUAers have mentioned but I'm tempted to as I'm sure it'd add subtle sparkle to any eyecolour. The other good thing about this product is that it's not overly sparkly/shimmery (For me, at least) but it IS important to use a lighthand. All in all I'm happy with this product, but would not purchase again because of two reasons: the price (a bit too much imo) and I'm sure there are other products that deliver the same results.
I did not like this product AT ALL !! Hated it, hated it - And it tastes/smells like mint. It makes my lips burn and tingle and not in a good way. They could have listed it had a mint taste on it somewhere on the package. ICK !!!!
Moisturizers -Neutrogena - Oil Free Moisture - SPF 15
RavenHairGirl 1/21/2005 6:07:00 PM
This product is OK, it does the job, doesn't make me break out, I find it too expensive.. The pump bottle is nice, nothing TOO special, just adds moisture and resists drying your skin.
