I love this duo! It's a light pink with a touch of lavendar and a gold that go on sheerly to give my face a wonderful flushed glow. I apply it with my Bobbi Brown face brush. I am a PPP with yellow undertones, hazel/olive green eyes and dark brown hair. I really can't imagine this looking bad on anyone.
I love my 190!!! I have never had such great coverage. I never realized how little coverage I got with just sponges until I used the brush. It makes a huuuuuuuuuuge difference. My skin looks magazine perfect after I use this. :) For reference: my foundation is Shu Uemura Fluid S 575 with Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse in "Classic Ivory" on top. :)
Lip Gloss -Stila - Brilliant Lip Glaze Double - Watermelon and Passion Fruit
Rainbow_Dim 8/9/2005 11:33:00 PM
I knocked off one lippy because I don't notice a difference when I apply the watermelon versus the passion fruit. Other than that, the price is much lower ($10) than the excessive $20 regular price for a Stila lip glaze and it is totally my lips but better. It gives a really nice dewy look to the lips, not metallicy or shimmery, but matte, sheer and beautiful. The packaging is also much better than the regular stila glazes because you don't have to turn and turn and turn and get nothing and then a giant gush of glaze. It's a much more convenient wand applicator. I think these Stila glazes are very underrated and think they are very sexy and yummy!
I have a thick head of thick medium-sized curls. I put this on after towel drying my hair and then add a little gel to my roots and ends. Then I put my hair up in a bun/half pony tail and let it air dry. My curls stay together, aren't hard and crunchy, and my hair cooperates and does whatever I want. I find that there is no perfect product, you just have to find something that goes far enough for you and work with it and maybe other products to get your hair to do what you want it to do. This is pretty much a spray mousse and it doesn't weigh my hair down especially at the roots which is a huge plus for me (someone with heavy hair) and why I will buy this again.
I also am a green eyed gal (olive green, hazel green) and this shadow works beautifully with them. I love how well it blends and that I can build the color up to my preferred intensity. Don't get me wrong, it's pigmented well, but you can keep it simple or you can build it up for a more "evening" or smokey look. I like to use it with cooler pinks and browns, one time I even used a dark navy pencil liner with it and it looked great. This is one of my first Shu shadows and I'm very happy with it!
This is a fabulous color. My mom says I look so alive when I wear it. I'm a PPP/LLL with yellow undertones, olive green eyes and dark brown hair. It's a plummy/brown color that gives a great subtle and sophisticated flush to the cheeks.
Lip Gloss -The Body Shop - born lippy - strawberry
Rainbow_Dim 6/10/2005 12:38:00 AM
This is great lip balm. It tastes like strawberry bubblicious bubble gum, but not overly so and it looks great. YLBB and it's only $5. Cute packaging also! I knocked off a lippy because it comes in a little pot and I hate that kind of packaging. Stick form is best.
Lip Gloss -Lancome - Juicy Tubes - Sparkling Odile

Looks good. It isn't anything too special, there are others out there that can give you this same look. But it TASTES TERRIBLE. It's like the Joyeaux JT. AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL.
I love this lipstick. It's a sheer rosey mauve that enhances the natural color of my lips. The mua at MAC introduced me to it and I'm so glad she did!
I told the mua that I needed to make my upper lip look bigger because it was too thin and she told me that darker lip products actually makes them look bigger (I was surprised by this) and she was absolutely right. First she applied hover lipliner all over the lips (but she told me spice would work just as well), then Pink Aperitif, then flash of flesh lipglass. My lips were GOREGOUS. Pink Aperitif isn't dark, but the combo of lip products she used was darker than something I would normally wear.
Anyway, Pink Aperitif is definitely something almost everyone will be able to wear. It's sheer and rosy and is totally worth trying out!
Looks good, tastes kinda bleh. Packaging is cute.
I think this is a great gloss, especially for spring and summer. It's not too sparkly on the lips so I can wear it to work. It tastes kind of like candy hearts you get on Valentine's day. It not the worst I've smelled or tasted, but it could be better. But I would give this a try. :)
Lotions/ Creams -Jaqua Girls - Lemon Meringue Body Butter
Rainbow_Dim 5/3/2005 6:51:00 PM
This is a good body butter. It's better than B&BW Tutti Dolci Lemon Meringue scent-wise. Also compared to The Body Shop's body butter it isn't as thick which is fine.
It smells to me like super fresh lemon zest sweetened with sugar, or you might liken it to a strong lemon zinger tea bag.
The packaging is adorable. It comes in a tub that comes in a little pink cake box with a brown bow. Very attractive and looks great on the vanity!
Knocked off a lippy for being a little bit greasy.
Eye Makeup Remover -Bobbi Brown - Eye Makeup Remover
Rainbow_Dim 4/21/2005 12:20:00 PM
My eyes became puffy and red with a rash.
I've always considered myself to be a makeup snob. I have very little drug store makeup. But this stuff is actually really really good. I get light to medium coverage with this which is exactly what I want.
I have had to work at keeping my combo-to-oily skin under control and having such light foundation that doesn't settle into my pores really helps. It's whipped into a mousse so it's light and airy. Compare regular cream cheese to whipped cream cheese and you will get the idea.
Anyway, I have DMM in Classic Ivory and I get so many compliments about my "perfect alabaster" skin.
I will definitely be buying this again! :)
FINALLY! MY HG NUDE LIPPIE!!! I was beginning to wonder if I was losing my mind. I tried a million nudes before I found this which is the PERFECT nude for my warm LLL skintone. I tried Bobbi Brown lipsticks which were the wrong color and too creamy, I tried NARS lip lacquer in Chelsea Girls, a few Clinique shades, and I thought MAC's new l/s Deceptive would be it, but it wasnt. So glad I decided to try this one out!
I love MAC's lustre lipsticks and this is by far my favorite. I can tell I'm going to be going through this tube quick!
I would DEFINITELY buy this again.
