I would say that this product has a nice glow to it. I have an oily t-zone and it sits okay on my face with powder over it. I initally heard of this from lollipop26. I think it covers well, I have a lot of post acne scaring and it does well to cover them all, does not have a cakey finish. I would say it feels slightly heavy on the skin and I believe it doesn't help my break outs. I do realize that I have a few acne pop up if I wear it more than 2 days in a row. I only wear this for special events or nights out and it photographs well. I am still looking for my holy grail foundation.
Eyeliner -Milani - Liquif'eye Metallic eye liner pencil -black

I use this on my waterline. I think it works better than alot of expensive eye liners. I have used mac's, urban decays, estee lauder just to name a few. HOwever they all smudge on my water line and does not have the lasting power. I would say the color is very intense and black. It still smudges at the end of the day- within 3 hours I would say, even with black eyeshadow on top of it. It is very easy to apply, however it is extemely hard to sharpen. If you use a cheap sharper, it will just eat up the pencil. I would recommend in investing in a nicer sharper if you want this eye liner. I use the sephora brand sharper and it works pretty good. For now, i will continue using it since it is a cheap alternaltive until i find a better one.
Treatments -Neostrata - Skin Renewal Peel Solution
Ractoon 4/6/2011 6:57:00 PM
I have been using this product for about 1 month. Funny thing, I did not expect to see a difference in one night but the first night I tried it- I had a big zit on my chin. The next morning, it was almost reduced to nothing but a red dot. That however was my only amazing story for this product. Otherwise I have noticed a small fading of my hyper pigmentation- probably by 20 percent. I can't give a full review yet as I'm using it only 2- 3 times a week. I let it sit on my face for 15 mins. It doesn't burn- I noticed the slightly tingling sensation. I also started using retin a- neostrata definitely helps with the flaky skin. I'm not sure if it is the retin a or this peel that has finally stopped my hormonal acne. I'm just left with the scars now. Will update, but definitely enjoy using this product. I don't mind the glass jar- probably is there so that the ingredients in this product stays active or something.
I absolutely love this blush. This is my go to blush. It gives the perfect peach color on my skin. I am nc 25-30. I am running low on this blush. Anyone know a dupe for this?
I ordered this after 6 months of trying products by my dermatologist and nothing worked. I was getting frustrated. I haven't broke out in 5 years and now that i'm 26, I started getting breakouts all over my chin. It about two weeks since I started using dan's regime and I'm all clear except for one pesky zit that has not gone away. The BP 2.5 % didn't really made my skin flaky nor red. The only thing thing that it did do it irritate my skin, my skin is a bit itchy around my temple and jaw line. But other than that, no complaints. I also started taking fish oil 1000 mg and zinc 50 mg and wow has my face improved in this short time versus the 6 months with the dermatologist. Would definately recommend !!!! Edit: At first I thought it was dan's treatment that had been clearing me up. Having stop the fish oil and zinc, the acne came back. And the bp just continued to irritate my skin. My face became unbearable, dry and itchy. I have recently started on birth control and continued back on the fish oil and zinc. I finally figured that my body was due to hormonal imbalance. I also watch my diet, I started cutting back on dairy and sugar. That honestly had made my face stop breaking out. I do like dan's recommendation on a gentle face wash and gentle moisturizer. I use Cetaphil's face wash and moisturizer. Once or twice a week I have been using neostrata's peel solution and also retina a twice a week. My face is pimple free now- just using the peel and retin a for the scars left. I hope this helps people who've been dealing with acne.
Moisturizers -Origins - Make a difference ultra rich
Ractoon 11/6/2009 12:42:00 AM
This was one of the first buy from origins. When i first bought this about 6 years ago, it came in a white bottle instead of the bottle now. Anyhow, at that time I had very dry, peeling skin around my nose/cheeks and chin. I started using this and about 1 to 1 1/2 week, I noticed that all my dry spots were diminishing. About 2-3 weeks, my dried spots were completely gone. This was my favorite moisturizer. It didn't irritate, had a wonderful smell. Its kinda feels heavy for a little bit (it doesn't sink in right away) but I liked the feeling and then it sinks in (10-15 mins). One jar lasted me about 6-8 months. The only reason why I have not repurchase is because my skin has changed. I am now combo-oily.
This is my first Nars blush and my HG. When I went to sephora, I swatched this one and orgasm. They look quite alike, but this one appeared more pigmented so I decided to purchase this one instead. I reach for it more than any other blush. I've used to buy only MAC blushes but have heard such great review about Nars and decided to try it. It gives a nice rosy and natural look to the cheeks. It does have some glitter to it, but very subtle. I never leave vacation without this blush.
Foundations -Smashbox - High Definition Healthy FX Foundation
Ractoon 4/17/2009 4:32:00 AM
I'm on my second bottle of this foundation and I'm really enjoying it. I actually returned this the first time I bought this due to the fact that this is a very sheer foundation. I was very into the 'full coverage' about 6-8 months ago and if you're looking for that then this foundation is not for you. Then I started doing microdermabrasion and my skin has improved. Now that i'm more comfortable with my skin, i can settle for a less full coverage foundation. Smashbox is very smooth, almost like whip. It does take a little getting used to at first, a bit streaky at times, but it does settle into the skin in minutes and it feels like you have nothing on your skin. One of the professional makeup artist i know only uses smashbox. I'm not so impress with the function 5 powder. I use MAC's msf in natural on top and I love it. Oh by the way, the primer light broke me out!!! But the foundation is awesome and i will repurchase! Edit: Though I love this foundation. The yellow tone really suits my skin and I'm having such a hard time finding a new foundation match. I've been breaking out like crazy since I started using this product. I've been in denial and went to see a dermatologist whom told me it was my makeup that was breaking me out. I got 10 , yes 10 whiteheads on my chin and I haven't broken out for 5 years. If you are not acne prone and do not need a lot of product, then this foundation is for you. However, it did not work for me.
