Concealers -Lancome - Effacernes

This is such a good concealer - it never creases, it never appears cakey, it lasts all day. I thought I found a winning concealer...however...I tried six (yes, six!) different shades and none of them matched me. Most of them had an odd white tint, and the others were either too dark or too yellow. It was an extremely annoying process going through all these shades and ending up empty-handed. And the funny thing is that each time I would stop by the Lancome counter, the consultant would hand me a new shade, claiming the previous one was "totally wrong" for me, when in fact she was the same consultant who sold me the previous one!!!! Sorry, this one did not make the cut, even though I tried and tried and tried...

Concealers -TheBalm - Time Balm

I'm pretty happy with this concealer. It was very easy to find a matching shade, the price is not too steep and it provides long-lasting coverage. However, it does crease and appear cakey at times. I usually have to use a thick eye cream before applying this concealer to avoid these factors. Unless I find something better, I will probably buy this product again.

Deodorants -Secret - Clinical Strength

This product works better than most other deodorants I've tried, i.e. Dove, Degree, Ban. It's long-lasting and dries very quickly. I'm about 80% happy with it. The 20% accounts for the fact that: a) It could be a little better as far as odor protection, and b) I don't like the scent (I bought the fresh scent and it's very strong). I will most probably re-purchase because, like I said, it's better than most other products I've tried.

Lips -TheBalm - Stainiac

I've been looking for a good lip stain forever. I was in search of a lip stain that would make my lips look like I had just had a strawberry popsicle - this is it!!!!!!! Wonderful! It says for cheeks and lips, but I've only tried it on my lips. A little goes a long way. Great!

Lip Gloss -NARS - Chihuahua

Oh my - I have been in search of a wonderful shade of pink lip gloss and this IS IT!!!!!! I was so ecstatic to find it, it's such an awesome color! Only negative I can think of is that it doesn't have such great staying power. Goes on nice and smooth, has great consistency...love it.

Tried using this in combination with a diffuser, air drying, etc...did not have much of an effect on my hair. Pricey and did not get the job done.

Lip Gloss -NARS - Orgasm

Looking at the tube, the color appears to be a nice shade of pink. But, when I applied it, it had more of an orange tone, which was not what I was looking for. Other than that, I can say that it doesn't feel sticky, which is definitely nice. Altogether, I won't be re-purchasing this one.

I wasn't expecting this gloss to appear so "hot pink," so that was the bad part. Other than that, it smells nice and has great consistency. But, again, I was looking for a softer pink...so I'd purchase this product again, but not this specific shade.

Went on like messy ink. Did not look remotely nice. My eyes looked horrible. I've already returned the liner and the liner brush - an expensive duo.

Lip Gloss -Stila - Lip glaze

I have Stila Lip Glaze in Grapefruit. It was the exact shade of pink lip gloss that I had been in search of for the longest time. However, it's color does not make up for the fact that this lip gloss has an AWFUL consistensy. This bothers me the most!! After all, lip gloss in meant to be shiny and smooth, and this lip gloss is far from such a description - it's clumpy and messy. It does not go on smooth and it has absolutely ZERO lasting power - it's all gone with one teeny bite into the teeniest bit of food. Also, I'm not crazy about the applicator, because it doesn't allow for a precise application. This is one product that certainly does not go the distance for the price you pay.

Expensive, but it gets the job done. Goes on nicely and pretty evenly. Finally - the right shade of somewhere between light pink and light red I've been searching for!!

Cleansers -Purpose - Gentle Cleansing Wash

I bought this product hoping it might help clear up my acne. Notice I said "help" -- I'm not looking for a miracle, just a little help!! Unfortunately, 3 months and 2 times a day later I have seen zero improvement in my skin in any way. I will say that this cleanser is gentle, which is a plus. However, I feel like there's probably NO DIFFERENCE between using Purpose's face wash compared to using a hand soap. I am skeptical about this cleanser's ability of actually serving any "purpose" (no pun intended). I will definitely not re-purchase. Ugh, back to shopping for a new wash...

Mascara -Maybelline - Great Lash Mascara

Horrible! This mascara is so goo-ey and liquidy. I apply it so delicately and carefully and I get all these chunks of mascara along my eyelashes. It's so messy and the wand always ends up hitting my face and causing a dark mess. I hate this mascara. I went to CVS today to return it and they wouldn't take it back, so I just threw it away when I got back home. I don't want to see it anymore.
