Treatments -Nuance by Salma Hayek - Daily Resurfacing Pads

I love the Dr. Dennis Gross Alpha/Beta pads, but they are very expensive, so I saw these at CVS and thought I would try them out. BTW~ Always wait for a sale- CVS had these B1G1 50% off, so I got two containers for $30.00- not too shabby. The wipes are very saturated, which is nice. You are supposed to rinse your face after, but I don't. I leave the product on, and then apply my moisturizer on top. I only use these before bed. If you leave the solution on, it does feel a bit oily, but I feel that it works best that way. These do not sting or burn my skin. They do have that typical AHA scent, which isn't pleasant, but not too offensive. In the morning my face feels smooth and looks brighter. I have been using these nightly for about two weeks and I have noticed a positive difference in the tone and texture of my skin. My pores seem smaller, and my skin overall just looks better. Give these a try- you can always return them to CVS if they don't work for you.
Lip Treatments -Smashbox - Tinted Lip Treatment in Shine
ProductJunkey 3/30/2013 3:36:00 AM
I'm pretty sure this item is discontinued. I could not find it on Smashbox's or Sephora's website. I just purchased it from All Cosmetics Wholesale for $6.99. I love it so much that I plan on ordering a couple back ups. It's just a lovely pink, that I think would look great on anyone. If you like lighter pinks, like I do, but sometimes they tend to look too 80's, you will like this! The color reminds me a bit of MAC's Pink Fish Lip Conditioner from the Hello Kitty collection. I love the shade, but it slides off your lips too quickly and it's not that moisturizing. It does leave a little bit of a stain, but the stain isn't bright or red, like some pinks do to your lips. It's also a very natural looking pink. Just like your lips, but prettier.
Treatments -Pantene - Overnight Miracle Repair Serum - in bottle

I already returned mine...When this was out a few years ago, it came in packets and was quite good. After using it one night my hair was completely dried out the next morning. After looking at the ingredients, I see it just contains alcohol and lots of chemicals and cones...how can that be good for your hair? I think I'm going to stick with coconut oil, it's greasy and messy, but it does soften the hair.
I purchased this product about a month ago, when it first came out. Upon the first use, I loved the results. My hair looked thicker and had a ton of body, unlike any other product I had used before. I also enjoyed that there was no stickiness, or crunchy feeling in my hair. Plus it also did not dull the hair. Every day was a good hair day, until using it for a week straight. After that, my hair just felt dried out and straw like. It became hard to style, and even after using a deep conditioner to bring some moisture back,my hair was still very dry. The packaging says to use this this daily, and you are supposed to get more improvement in thickness after two weeks to a month. Well, by then I'm sure my hair would be so dried out that nothing would revive it! I do really like the results, but I had to take a break from it. This product contains a lot of alcohol, so I knew that it was this product that was causing my hair to be so dry. I will still use it, but only occasionally. My hair is color treated, and it is already a bit dry, so if you have normal hair I think this will work a lot better to use on a daily basis. EDITED 3/29/13 I have bumped this up another lippie. I started using this again on a daily basis, and my hair has seemed to be OK, not as dry as it was in the beginning. I feel like like overall, my hair has become thicker, as if it is helping me grow more hair if that is possible. I love it and will keep using. I'm about halfway through my bottle and use about 10 sprays all over my scalp.
I purchased this when I saw Makeup By Alli raving about it on You Tube. Now that it is winter I need something that is really going to soften my face. I have dry parts on my cheeks, and they look horrible and crinkly once you apply makeup. I just didn't like the way this felt on my skin. It's one of those products where you feel like you want to wash it off immediately after you've applied it. It felt waxy and uncomfortable. In the morning it didn't seem to soften my skin, or even make it look better. I would return it, but I've lost my receipt! One good thing with products like this, you can always use them on your hands or feet before bed, that is what I plan on doing with this.
Foundations -Cover Girl - Outlast Stay Fabulous 3 in 1 Foundation

This is a nice foundation, nice pigmentation and coverage. It applies great using your fingers. I have one gripe and this foundation transfers! I fell asleep with it on and it went all over my pillow- I guess that's not much of a dealbreaker, just taking off a lippie for that.
Treatments -Lumene - Lumene time freeze instant lift serum
ProductJunkey 1/26/2013 5:11:00 AM
I have just used up a bottle of this product and I liked it. I love the packaging pink glass bottle with a pink pump. I love the scent, also. I used to use Lush Mirror, Mirror neck cream, which smelled like heaven I adored that until they discontinued it. This smells a lot like that. I mostly used it on my neck. It sinks into the skin very well. It isn't greasy and smoothed out my skin. As far as helping with wrinkles, I didn't get much of any noticeable results. I have only used one bottle, and I believe you only get one once, so I went through it rather quickly. I would buy it again if it were on sale. I got it at CVS, they have $10 in extra bucks when you spend $30 on lumene all the time.
My all time favorite perfume is L'air Du Temps, because it's rather pricey, I only wear it on special occasions. My every day perfume is Wind Song, which I love and it was my Grandmother's favorite as well. I started wearing it in High School. I just love florals that are soft and smell clean. Most floral fragarances will either make me sneeze, or are mixed with something fruity which I don't care for. So if you like L'air Du Temps or Wind Song, I'm sure you will like this. It's a pretty close dupe for L'air Du Temps. I was introduced to this scent when I placed an order for Riche Creme eye cream and I was sent a bunch of full size freebies, that included the shower gel of this scent and I loved it. I saw they had a perfume, but it was out of stock. I continue to get emails from Yves Roche and when I was browsing their site I saw the perfume was available, and best of all it was only $15.00, so I purchased two bottles. I see that it is again out of stock, so I'm glad I got two. My only gripe is this scent does not last very long. I purchased the lotion as well, so even when I layer it on top of the lotion it lasts maybe an hour. The lotion, BTW is rather sticky and feels like it is just sitting on top of the skin, it smells good, though. The shower gels is nice also, same thing though, the scent does not last past your shower. So I am taking a lippie off because of that, otherwise it's really nice.
Primer/ Corrector -L'Oreal - Revitalift Miracle Blur
ProductJunkey 1/17/2013 11:22:00 PM
I came across this at CVS and the display had sample packets, so I picked one up. This product sells for $24.99 for the full size. The sample I got says "Instant skin smoother finishing cream", which I was confused about. Is this applied before or after makeup? It was like your average silicone type cream. I used it under makeup, just applying under my eyes and down my cheeks a bit. I didn't want to use it all over because I have combo/oily skin. Well to my horror after I had finished my makeup, this product made every wrinkle and crinkle amplified 150%. I had wrinkles where I never saw wrinkles before! MY wrinkles had wrinkles! I don't even have deep wrinkles, just some fine lines and this made me feel like an old lady. I don't get it- this product is named miracle blur.... Get a sample packet if you can. This is not worth $25.00!
Conditioner -L'Oreal - Advanced Haircare - Total Repair 5
ProductJunkey 1/9/2013 3:38:00 AM
Thinking this was the drugstore version of Kerastase, I picked it up. It's very average, my hair also felt a bit coated. I will continue to use it, but so far it's "meh".
I love this mask! I especially after coloring. It takes away the damage. I purchased on Ebay for $17.00 for a full size tube.
I really like this mascara-however, you really need to work with it. What I do is: 1.First curl your lashes with a regular curler. 2.Apply two thin coats of the primer-let it dry between each coat. 3.Curl lashes again, this time with a *heated* eyelash curler. Never use a regular curler- your lashes will stick to it! The heated lash curler will lift up the lashes. The primer can make them heavy and they can then droop and get clumpy. 4.Apply two coats of the mascara, letting the first one dry, then when the second coat is still wet, comb through with a metal eyelash comb. There you go--- lots of steps, but when I do this I do get a nice false lash effect!
I really wanted to love this. I was looking for an alternative to my ELDW, which sometimes makes me dry in the winter. I just got a sample from Sephora. It is heavy duty full coverage. I tried to sheer it out with a spritz of Fix +, but that didn't work- this foundation just does not mix with water- which is strange because it is supposed to be oil free. It's OK but it looked cakey on me.
I purchased this because it was on clearance at Sears for $4.50 for the 10 oz. bottle. I remember this from the 70's- my Mom used to like the Pink scent (which has since been discontinued) I think they replaced it with the Vitabath Plus- which has a nice scent, but the original pink was the best- that one was more floral. When this first came out there were only three scents- Green, Pink and Yellow- the yellow one was straight up lemon. The yellow has been discontinued as well- so the green one is the only original scent that is still around. The scent is very nostalgic for me. What I like is that the scent actually stays on your skin after you've dried off. It turns your bathtub green as your showering! Love this- you only need a quarter size dollop to do your body with a bath pouf.
I love this scrub- it exfoliates great, yet isn't oily like a lot of other sugar scrubs. It's a little bit thicker, so it doesn't run through your fingers. Great scent that stays on your skin, too! I have the spring green scent. The only downside is that I go through it quick... I found it on clearance at Sears for $4.50.
