I have fine, 2b curly, highlighted, fairly damaged hair and used this product for a while before giving it to my mother who has fine wavy hair. Its a nice moisturizing mask with a lovely smell. I found it quite gentle on my hair. However since my hair has more serious issues I decided I needed stronger repairing products instead so stopped using it. However if your hair is normal/a little dry I think this product may be perfect for you; it gives a luxurious moisturizing feeling that can be part of your weekly treatment regime. Enjoy!
THIS PRODUCT IS HORRIBLE! I have fine, curly, colour-treated, fairly damaged hair and I bought this product to define my curls better... it didnt! Its quite drying, my hair would give me the texture of hay if I didn't follow this shampoo instantly with a conditioner or mask, my hair constantly feels thirsty and lacking moisture with it.. In addition, it did not define my curls at all or make them any prettier for that matter, it frizzed them up! If your hair is like mine, don't waste your money on this product.
Tinted Moisturizer -Korres - Korres Watermelon Lightweight Tinted Moisturizer
PrincessZaineb 12/17/2011 11:13:00 PM
I just started using this product two days ago and I'm really loving it. I thought of using it for work when I bought it but to be honest its coverage is so good I'm using it on nights out as well. You'd only need concealer with it and its really easy to apply. Another pro is that its slicone and oil free, which is great for my combination skin. I bought #1 Sand and its abiiiit darker than my colour, which gives me a slight healthy tanned look. The only three cons I'd say are 1: The watermelon smell, which is only there on application really so its not a bother once it has dried. and 2: You need to apply this moisturizer and spread it on your face quickly. If not it would sort of dry in place within seconds. 3: It leaves my fingers sticky after application, curiously not my face though. So just give your hands a good wash right after you apply it. These cons are very tiny and easy to be dealt with, so I'd really suggest you give it a try Enjoy!
This shampoo smells amazing, it left my hair looking and smelling absolutely gorgeous, with a shine and even helped my curls look better defined. However, I noticed increased hair fall every time i went back to using it (twice). I have PCO's so i know my hair fall isn't entirely due to the products I use but still, it fell more when I used this In addition, according to cosmetic database, this product is scored a 6 out of 10 for its health concerns (10 being the worst). It includes ingredients that affect Neurotoxicity, and Allergies/immunotoxicity, Personally, I'd rather keep my hair and look for a more protecting shampoo
Eyeliner -MAC - Superslick Liquid Liner - On the Hunt
PrincessZaineb 11/30/2011 5:47:00 AM
Update: After using this eyeliner for a while I realized my lashes started becoming shorter and thinner.. basically because I had to rub so hard to get the hard paste texture of the liner off it was dragging the lashes out with it! I've changed my overall rating, and will not be buying this product again... Old review: I'm LOVING this eyeliner! Its very easy to apply , with a proper tip (not a brush which can go all over the place and ruin your masterpeice), has a strong colour and stays for ages. Even if you wash your face it stays there and barely smudges, as if you've applied a paste that's solidified rather than normal eyeliner that can make you resemble a panda if you're not careful. I would definitely buy this again and strongly recommend it Enjoy!
This product was good in the sense it didn't harm my skin.. which is what I like about Kiehl's.. if they dont do you good at least they dont cause major damage. I have combination oily skin and I didn't notice any reduction at all in my pores, neither did it seem to help in any of my skin issues. It goes on matte, is good for oily skin, but doesn't smell that great or cause much improvement from my experience
Treatments -Kiehls - Sunflower Color Preserving Deep Recovery Pak
PrincessZaineb 11/30/2011 5:34:00 AM
This product's biggest pro is that it smells amazing.. thats about it! I have highlighted, long, dry damaged hair and I can't say that this mask has done anything for me at all. I combined it with Kiehl's argan shampoo and would only recommend it if you want your hair to smell nice, otherwise don't bother!
I LOVE this product! Its an indulgent, addictive and a yummy pick me up if you're feeling a bit bleh. So smooth, and smells ever so delicious, buttery and truly air whipped. I have dehydrated skin so this works wonders after a shower. There's barely any packaging (no box), but that's the issue with all the Kiehl's products i've seen anyway. Less damage to the trees :D The con is that it isn't very cheap. Its 280AED (about $76) in Bloomingdales Dubai anyway, but it is a very big tub and can last for ages. Enjoy!
Shampoo -Kiehls - Superbly Smoothing Argan Shampoo
PrincessZaineb 11/30/2011 2:27:00 AM
I'm nearly done with this product's bottle, and don't think I'll be buying it again anytime soon. I have coloured, wavy/curly brown hair that has oily roots and drier ends. I bought it because it is sulfate and paraben free, and has argan which I've heard many things about. Unfortunately it has a strong unappealing medical smell, didn't make me feel that my hair is fully clean, and didn't seem to do my hair any good in general.
Lotions/ Creams -The Body Shop - Vitamin E Hand and Nail Cream
PrincessZaineb 10/25/2011 12:25:00 AM
I've been using this product for years and years. Its a simple, not too fancy or greasy hand cream, with added vitamin E which is good. It has a nice smell to it too. I keep it on my desk at work. Another plus is that it contains community trade shea butter, which feels like you're helping the less fortunate and doing the world a little good. Enjoy!
I've been using Diorskin Forever Compact since I was a teenager in high school ( about eight years), I go to other powders then come back to this one. My skin is combination oily which this powder is fine dealing with and it gives it good coverage (not perfect though). Its a light but effective everyday powder. However I've encountered two problems: 1. I've been using a new concealer (Helena Rubenstien Magic), which when I use this powder on top of, the areas skin pigmentation looks darker. 2. According to the cosmetic database, this powder has REALLY bad ingredients that can lead to immunitoxity, developmental and reproductive toxicity, and has been rated a 7 (high hazard). This has caused me to start looking for an alternative. However effectiveness as a powder-wise, this powder is pretty good. Its up to you.
Moisturizers -Clinique - Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel
PrincessZaineb 10/25/2011 12:06:00 AM
I opted for this gel because I wanted a combination skin friendly product that doesn't contain too many harmful ingredients. I was told to go for the gel rather than the cream because it will absord the excess oil on my t-zone but still moisturize the rest of my face. Results: The gel does get absorbed into the skin quickly and mattifies it somehow, but my nose is actually peeling! I dont know for sure if its down to this product, but my cheeks are sometimes dry as well. I think I need a more moisturizing product.
I use this eye shadow primarily for defining my eyebrows. I've found using an eyebrow brush is better than an eyebrow pencil because its less harsh on your eyebrow hairs, so they dont fall off as easily. I use it as a regular eyeshadow too and dont have any complaints, its great for a smoky look or put beneath a more magnetic shadow. Plus, it seems to have lasted for ages! Enjoy!
I'm using this concealer now (shade 3-dark), and I must say its coverage is pretty good, provided you apply a few layers and PAT-DONT RUB IN. However personally it seems to burn my undereye area after application, and yesterday I noticed one of my eyes actually got swollen, so it must be a reaction to one of the ingredients.
Lip Treatments -Korres - Mandarin Lip Butter Stick
PrincessZaineb 10/2/2011 6:48:00 AM
This product is simply enough, it gives a nice subtle colour, is light and (hopefully) isn't too harmful with its ingredients (I use it at work). It also has an SPF protection (15) which is great if you live in a hot place. Enjoy! Update: I gave this butter stick to a male friend of mine and he absolutely LOVES it.. he says it has made his lips softer, got rid of the cracks and he wants to make out with himself :p
