This is my second bottle. The first one ended up in a trash bin after a month when the pump dispenser stopped working. You have to foam this up before you apply to your face and the liquid would turn into a really light foam. It removes impurities and grime (even my very stubborn blackheads) and it zaps a zit like nobody's business. But as much as I like it, my combo dehydrated skin can't afford to use it twice a day. And the supposedly-improved packaging is still far from perfect. I end up pouring too much every time.
This stuff is strong! It has an overwhelming alcohol smell (and not-so-pleasant cooling sensation which is why I took one lippie off). But it zaps a zit like nobody's business. I was undergoing a purge and I had a flakey patches on my nose too. The toner fixes them all. It leaves my face squeaky clean and fresh. My makeup stays put through the day. Make sure you apply your moisturizer straight away, unless you want to trade in your zits for dry lines :)
Skincare - Face -Ole Henriksen - Sheer Transformation Creme

BHAs, Vit. C, Kojic Dipalmitate which help with pigmentation. It contains silicones of some sort and it gives a really dewy look. I use Invigorating Night Gel with Sheer Transformation Cream at night and my skin has never felt/looked better. I have less blackheads (I used to have really stubborn blackheads that normal cleansers/deep cleansing masks can't get rid of. ) My makeup stays put and goes on better. Can't see much improvement with small freckles yet but my skintone looks much more even in the morning.
Moisturizers -Ole Henriksen - Vitamin Plus Balancing Cream

I like the uplifting smell and the super light texture. It sinks into my skin within 5 seconds! No kidding! It's a bit too light for the dry weather here in Australia, so I use it with IPSA's moisture keep up and they're perfect during the day!
Skincare - Face -Ole Henriksen - Clear and Gentle Primrose Soap
PrincessAddie 2/1/2004 11:40:00 PM
I was a bit skeptical about this. I have dehydrated combo skin and "soap" sounds a bit daunting to me. But I'm glad that I took the plunge. I like the subtle citrus smell. I use it with the sponge that comes with the cleanser (for gentle exfoliation) and my skin feels so clean and smooth.
Toners -Kose - Cosme Decorte AQ Circulation (softener + toner)
PrincessAddie 1/6/2004 10:38:00 AM
I can't say that I hate this product. HKD860 is a lot to shell out for one single product, but for an all-in-one product , it isn't exactly expensive. It's a nourishing lotion that hydrates even drier mature skin. Unfortunately I'm not impressed (NB: Im only 20). It doesn't break me out. It hydrates well but I find it a bit sticky for my combination skin. My makeup basically melts within an hour and my skin isn't that oily to begin with. I passed it to my mum who has dehydrated skin that rejects heavy moisturizer and she LOVES it. She has laser resurfacing done on her face and most products sting except this one. Her skin looks nourished and plump. Thumbs up.
Love this day cream. Smells absolutely heavenly and leaves my dehydrated skin soft and supple. It gives a glowy finish, so those who prefer a matte finish must need a dust of powder. It looks thick but it's lightweight when you spread it on. My foundation goes on like a dream and even after putting on powder, my face still has a soft glow. There's room for improvement in the packaging department and the color can look a bit "yucky" to some.
I have dehydrated combo skin and this toner does shrink your pores. It leaves my skin quite taut and I have to use quite a reasonable amount of Quinze Day Cream to relieve the discomfort. Drier skin might take a while to get used to the feeling. My makeup goes on beautifully and stays put through out the day. My skin has a lovely soft glow and my oily t-zone is behaving normal. I'm not sure if it's the Quinze Day cream or the their night conditioner or this toner that is working the wonder. The smell is a bit funny but as long as it works, I can put up with it.
Tinted Moisturizer -Yves Saint Laurent - Tinted Matt Moisturizer
PrincessAddie 8/11/2003 6:49:00 AM
This is the king of tinted moisturizers. It comes with a semi-matte natural finish with just the right coverage. It doesn't give you a greasy/shiny look, so you don't really need to dust on any powder afterwards.
I've tried loose powder as good as Becca or Laura Mercier, but this one has won them hands down! This is a super fine powder with a soft matte finish without accentuating fine lines/dryness. My makeup stays put and looks great for the whole day. The grating part is a plus: you get to control how much you need and travelling with a loose powder is no longer a nightmare.
Love love love this foundation! It gives me a subtle glow and considerable coverage. It's quite watery and blending can't be any easier with this foundation. A little goes a long way, so the price is totally justified.
Moisturizers -Ultraceuticals - Ultra Moisturiser Cream
PrincessAddie 7/11/2003 6:25:00 AM
This cream looks thick but it's not greasy at all. It is a very basic moisturizer but it does the job "almost" perfectly. It's very moisturizing and doesn't cause any breakouts. I took off one lipstick because I find it a bit too light in winter months.
Skincare - Face -Ultraceuticals - Ultra-C Treatment Cream
PrincessAddie 7/11/2003 6:22:00 AM
If you're impressed with C-10 Serum, this product will definitely make you go WOW. This one contains 23% stablised vitamin C and believe it or not, I saw the result the very next morning: My skin was and is incredibly soft and clear; my century-old dark circles are MUCH lightened . Those fine (dry) lines on my forehead are less obvious after a few days. Let me warn you: this cream is THICK. It's almost like a balm and you have to warm it up before applying. If your skin is dehydrated, you might need to apply a water-based moisturizer before this. The SA asked me to use it at night but I love it so much that I just can't help using it twice a day. Whatever you use, this cream goes last (on top of everything)
I seldom re-purchase skincare products but I'm down to my THIRD bottle of C-10 Serum! It stung a bit when I first started using it but that slightly unpleasant sensation is nothing when you look into the mirror the next morning.
Treatments (Eye) -La Mer - Eye Balm [DISCONTINUED]
PrincessAddie 3/31/2003 3:56:00 AM
I like this eye cream. It leaves my eye area really smooth. It doesn't give me milia or puffiness. Like all La Mer products, the price is a bit steep but a little goes a long way.
