Makeup Brushes -Avon - Bent eyeliner brush

I only bought it because it was on sale. I used it with Mac's gel eyeliner and I found it to be scratchy. I've since bought Benefit's bent eyeliner brush and it works much better. It probably works better with the avon gel eyeliner, because it's dryer and harder than Mac's fluidline. You really need the scratchiness to dig into the product, but then again, not the nicest thing to sweep against your eyelid.

Primer/ Corrector -Boots - Mattifying Make-up Base

I was looking for a drug store brand primer (there aren't that many) to save money and I gave this a try. At the time, this was the only one I could find. It does mattify but it's really hard to spread evenly on your skin. It's really chalky. I tried dabbing it all over my face and then rubbing it in but I still had white dry chalky marks on my face that I'd have to rinse off. I have an oily T zone so I might try using it on my forehead only just to try to use it all up. I'm not planning on purchasing it again. I've since tried Rimmel and Avon's primers and they are great.

I bought this on sale from Avon and it works great! I like the SPF and it blends easily into the skin. It feels very smooth, not chalky. Every once in a while, it's on sale and I'll get it and stock up.

Misc Beauty Tools -Revlon - Pedi-Expert Pedicure Kit

I haven't tried the ped egg or any other similar products, but I do like this one. What made me choose this over ped-egg is that you don't need to replace the blade and the file is metal, not sandpaper. I felt it was a better value. I've had it for a couple months now, used it every few weeks or so, whenever a little roughness develops. It's great so far and the blade is still good. The blade part cleans off all the calluses, it does NOT smooth the skin, so be careful not to go overboard thinking you should stop when the skin is smooth. That's what the metal file is for. The packaging is cute and practical. This product is definitely worth the price.

Eyeliner -MAC - Fluidline Eye-Liner Gel in Blacktrack
rated 5 of 5

After about a year an a half of owning this product, it has finally started to dry out. Most of it's gone anyway and I will gladly buy another. I used to have a really hard time with liquid eyeliner, and I used to use pencil just because it was easier. MAC Fluidline goes on smoothly and stays put all day. Does not flake at all. Given how long it's last me, it's not pricy at all. If you do have a hard time putting it on, I would recommend trying another brush. I had a hard time with a flat liner brush. I bought benefit's bent eyeliner brush and it's so much easier now.

Foundations -The Body Shop - Nature's Minerals Foundation
rated 5 of 5

I love this mineral foundation. I first tried Bare Minerals and found it to be rather powdery looking, but I did like the staying power of it. I then tried the Body Shop mineral foundation because I was told it was finer than Bare Minerals. Nature's minerals blends in really well without looking chalky, and stays put. I have an oily T-zone so this was a big plus for me. I love how the package has a sifter. It makes it easier to control how much you use without making a mess. You MUST get the brush. It's designed for the super fine powder. A regular brush won't take advantage of that. I like the fact that it's SPF 25, Bare Minerals is SPF 15 I think. I wore it in the summer without any other sunscreen on my face, and it works!

Eye Primer -Too Faced - Shadow Insurance, Anti-Crease Eye Shadow Primer
rated 5 of 5

A little goes a long way. This product will last a long time. I have asian eyes and oily skin so there's a tendancy for my eyeshadow to crease, butthis stuff actually works. It goes on like cream. If you put on too much, just wait for it to dry. I even wear my cheap-ass bonne belle eyeshadow with this. I will definitely buy it again and again. I might try another primer if only on sale.

Blush -NARS - Orgasm Blush
rated 3 of 5
Pounces 9/23/2009 12:51:00 PM

The colour is very pretty. I have the matching lipgloss and nail polish. My only beef with this blush is that the powder is hard to work with. I felt like i had to scrape my brush against it to pick anything up. I still have quite a bit left so I'm not thinking of buying any anytime soon. When it is done, I will probably just look for a similar shade by another brand.

Polishes -NARS - NARS nail polish
rated 4 of 5
Pounces 9/23/2009 12:44:00 PM

I don't know why it got such bad reviews. I have one bottle of NARS nail polish in Orgasm. I get compliments everytime I wear it. I wear it with a base and top coat and it goes on evenly and stays on pretty well. If you wear it alone, it won't last as long. It will start to chip or scrape off, but just take the extra time to put the base and top coat on.

Mascara -Rimmel - Glam Eyes
rated 4 of 5

This is a great drugstore brand mascara. I have wimpy eyelashes and this does wonders. I bought it on sale and I would buy it again if it was on promotion. Careful not to put too much or it might start to clump. One, maybe two coats is all you need. With mascaras, I'll just try the latest craze. I haven't found one that I would stick with forever.

Bath Treatments -Avon - Bubble Bath
rated 5 of 5
Pounces 9/23/2009 12:30:00 PM

I love Avon bubble baths. It is something that I always have in stock in my bathroom. The fragrances are lovely, it softens the water nicely, and never leaves a ring. They last a long time and they're almost always on sale on the online store. I only wish they would make more dessert fragrances. Strawberry Meringe is my favourite but it's discontinued. Strawberry Truffle was also nice but also discontinued.
