If you want a natural looking lash this is for you. I really don't get why this is so hyped up on Reddit. Pros- Doesn't smudge Doesn't flake Doesn't make lashes crispy or spikey Cons- Doesn't hold a curl Doesn't give you va va voom full lashes Length fades in less than an hour with the droop of the curl

Eyeliner -Wet 'n' Wild - H2O Proof Liquid Eyeliner
rated 1 of 5
Popcornshrimp 4/26/2013 7:32:00 AM

Update-- This stuff sucks in warm weather. It transfers really bad to the top eyelid after an hour and doesn't come off! WARNING- if you use an eyelid primer good luck getting this off....which would be fine if it stayed just on the eyelash line--I'm still a raccoon after using 4 different proucts and even tried hand soap to strip this puppy---didn't budge from the crease. Pros- LOVE the applicator which is hard, not a brush I always get the bumpy, skippage marks like I'm standing on a vibrator while applying on my left eye for some reason, and this makes it less noticeable that other products rich black compared to a lot of products that say blackest black, but come out as a soft black Cons- Feels heavy Takes a bit to dry for the impatient people like me, who like to blink when it's still wet

Hair Color -L'Oreal - Feria Absolute Platinum Advanced Lightening System
rated 4 of 5
Popcornshrimp 4/25/2013 4:26:00 AM

I'm naturally dirty blonde but usually use L'Oreal preference to dye it more of a Playboy blonde color. With Superior Preference, if it's left on too short=orange, too long=purple/grayish hue for a few days with usually no middle ground which I've come to accept. This stuff is BLEACH. I didn't know that when I purchased it, but where it's located, with the other bleach products....totally a derrrrrrp moment. Anyway, it colors (strips?) hair without leaving any weird hue or brass behind which is awesome. The conditioner is purple but not as strong as Clairol Shimmer lights or Ion's version, so if it does turn brassy---it's not going to do anything spectacular. Just have to remember, this is bleach! If you put it on your whole head for the max amount of time, don't complain that it fried your hair...common sense. I will definitely repurchase since this is the best drugstore brand I've found to get that bombshell blonde without having a grey hue for a few days.

Loose Powders -E.L.F. - Studio High Definition Powder
rated 2 of 5
Popcornshrimp 4/13/2013 11:35:00 PM

Without fail, when something on here gets a high rating---it looks terrible on me. Pros- -Silky feeling -makes foundation last a smidge longer and helps with not transferring foundation onto clothes Cons- -I'm tan, no matter how little or a lot I use I get a HUGE white, chalky cast. (I use a brush not the puff it came with) -Looks terrible at night with a camera flash -the container/lid makes a MESS if you take it anywhere, so leave the plastic circle over the holes or don't move it from a flat area. -I have normal to dry skin and it makes me slicker than a seal after a little while -it doesn't really do anything...I don't have a problem with large pores so maybe that's why I haven't noticed anything?

Foundations -Cover Girl - Outlast Stay Fabulous 3 in 1 Foundation
rated 3 of 5
Popcornshrimp 4/13/2013 10:59:00 PM

Pros- -Good coverage, reminds me of Maybelline's long discontinued 3 in 1 Cover Stick -great staying power Cons- -If you have normal to dry skin...it will dry you out like a desert after a week (I returned it because of this reason)

Treatments -Unlisted Brand - Biotin (All brands)
rated 3 of 5
Popcornshrimp 2/12/2013 9:47:00 PM

Cons- Higher dose made huge, blotchy, welt looking pimples.(I've never had a problem with acne...or pimples that look this scary) Pills are big and have an after taste (Spring Valley Hair, Skin and Nails) Pros- Lot's of good stuff comes with it like collagen (the brand I got) Made dry skin/ psoriasis look better Inexpensive I bought the Spring Valley Hair, Skin and Nails from Walmart for around 6 dollars. It has 1000mcg (3mg) of Biotin in 3 pills. I started taking 5 pills a day because I read an article on how higher doses are suppose to help with a whole bunch of other conditions. Luckily, I happened to see this page just browsing. I rarely ever get big red spider bite looking pimples...One popped up the other day, didn't think anything of it, thought I maybe got bit by something or my new towelettes were doing it...Couple days later, another one....today a huge one sprouted in a two hour span at a salon. Anyway, lots of reviewers are having the same problem so I'm 89% positive this may be the cause. It only started doing it when I upped the dosage (I hope/think). I've been taking it for about 2 weeks and the only difference I've noticed is that dry skin looks less crunchy around the elbows. I'm a nail biter and I just chopped off 3 inches of hair today so I can't really say if it works for nails or hair. I will probably buy it again because it's cheap and has other goodies in it, IF the giant red splotch pimples go away.

Cleansers -Equate - Refreshing Cleansing Towelelettes
rated 2 of 5
Popcornshrimp 2/12/2013 8:21:00 PM

Cons- Smells very strong like green tea (smells exactly like Elizabeth Arden's Green Tea perfume) Scent lingers Nothing in it is a natural ingredient, except water Not wet enough to remove mascara 1/2 way through (make sure you hear a click when closing the package) Pros- 40 in a pack for around 4 dollars Nice thickness. (Not as thick as Yes to Carrots brand, but not thin either) Packaged like Yes To Carrots towelette products. (soft plastic shell, hard plastic cubby in the middle so they don't dry out) On the package it says, compared to Garnier Refreshing Remover Cleansing Towelette. I looked up the ingredients of the Garnier version, and they are completely different. Equate version is all chemical names that I can't pronounce, and the Garnier version has a few recognizable things like grapefruit extract, peppermint, ect. Reviews of the Garnier version say it's a fresh, light scent. This is far from that. I should have followed my gut and went with the original, because the scent is gross and lingers. I think I'm going to quit with equate products after this. A lot of the equate versions smell very elderly, and don't have the same ingredients as what it's "compared to". I will gladly shell out a few extra clams for the real thing at Walmart. (Target's store brand is usually pretty similar to the "compared to" product.)

Fragrances -Bodycology - Miami Mango Fragrance Mist
rated 5 of 5
Popcornshrimp 2/11/2013 7:47:00 PM

I hate vanilla/ coca butter/ coconut scents with a passion, so it's hard finding a body mist that doesn't smell like a strip club. This stuff smells like candy, after the tartness of the mango dies down in a few minutes. It smells nothing like Bath and Body works Bali Mango and not as sour as Soft Soap's mango body wash.. It's very similar to the new Secret deodorant Mango scent ( not sure if it's like Secret's mango body spray that comes in a can, in the deodorant isle). I like that this is a sweet scent, rather than the tart/ sour aroma of most mango products. Definitely will buy again!

Mascara -Avon - Super Drama
rated 5 of 5
Popcornshrimp 2/2/2013 5:56:00 AM

Pros- Cheap (got mine off Amazon for 5 clams free shipping) Mega volume and length WITH many coats Doesn't flake Cons- Takes a lot of coats to make it va va voom crunchy I saw a picture on a blog about this stuff, with amazing results so I had to have it. I've never ordered anything from Avon before because it's a pain in the rump roast. I prefer instant gratification...rather than have the mail person think I'm a creeper, waiting by the mailbox---hoping that today is the day. Anyway...first time I used it, I was not impressed because I did it really quick. 2nd time I actually put some time into it. With many coats, it does make lashes look amazing if you're into va va voom lashes. I haven't found a good mascara in years that can be layered and layered, that doesn't clump, and make one look like they have 3 giant lashes stuck together. It does start to look a little spidery after so many coats, which probably would be avoided by a lash comb...but how many people actually use those...I'm not that fickle. I put a picture up and you can kind of see that's the point when I went, whoa... probably time to stop, you're starting to look like a spidery mess. I use an eyelash curler afterwards to really make them pop, but.....it also clumps those puppies together with a cruddy, pinchy, eyelash curler. I will be repurchasing this, which is hugeeee, because I always want the newest thing...but, mascaras have really been lacking va va voom in the last few years...so it's been a big money waster pre-Super Drama.

Conditioner -Suave - Moroccan Infusion
rated 2 of 5
Popcornshrimp 1/13/2013 7:51:00 AM

Smells TERRIBLE. If you hate the smell of the Keratin Suave line, you will probably hate this too. It's offensively strong like old lady perfume, shoes that have been sitting in a basement for 40 years waterlogged,Nair, or Good Will clothes. If you love powder fresh scent of deodorant smothered in coca butter, you might like this. If I was stuck next to someone smelling like this, I would have to excuse myself...possibly throw up. The Organix one smells slightly like this, but not fry everyone's nose hair in a 5 mile radius, kind of strong.

Pressed Powders -Wet 'n' Wild - Coverall
rated 4 of 5
Popcornshrimp 1/13/2013 7:36:00 AM

Pros- 2.99 Silky texture/ feels like mineral makeup not baby powder Doesn't accentuate lines Not drying No chalky undertone (I'm not sure about the ladies with pink undertone though) Good staying power (I have dry to normal skin) Didn't anger my pores I believe they had more than 3 colors available *not sure because it doesn't show the product on their site as of right now* Cons- Don't even bother with the sponge (perfect to take nail polish off though!) All colors have a yellow undertone/beige family from what I saw If you're darker than; kind of tan, sun kissed, potato skin, diet rootbeer, or a caramel cube...this probably won't be dark enough I usually never wear a powder over my makeup, however after drowning my skin in Lumene products as of late...My skin starts looking a bit like I smeared butter on my face kind of 'sheen'. Not a good look unless I was a bagel. So I was creepin' on all the new spring 2013 makeup/skin care coming out, and found this puppy and bought it....mainly because it said NEW and was 2.99. I couldn't say no to that. I've got medium, the darkest shade I saw, which comes out as a yellow undertoned beige color which would probably match any mid to bronze color skin. I put it over light Lumene BB cream and Classic Beige L'Oreal Lumi foundation and matched seamlessly. It didn't give me that chalky tone or dry feeling that other powders have in the past. It didn't wiggle into drier areas around the eye to make it look like I was in serious need of botox, which I've found a lot of powders and concealers do. I pretty much only buy Wet N Wild to experiment with colors?products before I commit to something pricier. I am however, very happy I bought this. *I have dryish skin, use the Lumene radiance cocktail at night, slather some Lumene nectar on after a shower, put some BB cream around the places I like to highlight or as a primer, L'Oreal Lumi, Coverall powder, then blush and bronzer. I looked fresh all day.

Eye Makeup Remover -Maybelline - Flash Clean Clean Express Makeup Removing Lotion
rated 1 of 5
Popcornshrimp 1/13/2013 6:58:00 AM

Update- Terrible...skip it. If you add water, it's like rubbing Vaseline on your face and makes it 933 harder to remove something as easy as foundation. Spit works better than this stuff. Lesson learned not to buy more than one before I try it. It's nothing spectacular for mascara removal but it doesn't leave you greasier than a seal covered in butter which is why I rated it so high. I used Maybelline The Rocket mascara, started with a dopple of of this stuff (concentrating on the eyes) rubbed, then took it off (I'm pretty vicious when it comes to makeup removal cloths) with a Yes to Grapefruit wipe. Mascara still kept coming off raccoonish so I slopped some more on the whole face and and removed it with the clean side of the wipe until it burned..then followed up with a ELF makeup wipe and a little makeup still came off. However, it is actually pretty awesome compared to every other drug store makeup remover. This does NOT in anyway make you feel like you just took a shower in baby oil. It didn't bother my skin *cross my fingers because every time I say I love something, it goes to crap in a week*. I tried this in the shower too, usually I just use shampoo or soap to get off the mascara but this makes me feel way cleaner, and has a good moisturizing feel which isn't tight or too grease spill looking/feeling. Pros- No strong smell, has a very very light fresh scent Didn't break me out Pores look happier Skin feels cleaner than with wipes No slimy baby oil feel Doesn't get oil goobers in the eyes, if you do get some in the peepers...it goes away after like 10 blinks/no haze of grease Leaves my skin feeling cleaner than oil free liquid removers Pink bottle is cute and easy to haul around Now I will actually use makeup remover instead of cheating with soap for the eyes, and St. Ives scrub for the rest of my face Finally a deep down clean that my pores are thanking me for after slathering 9 billion products on it every day Cons- Bottle is really small. Took me 3 weeks to actually find it in stores when it was in front of my face the whole time, just thought it would be bigger for some reason. A pump would be better, but the cap is more convenient for purse travel. Doesn't work miracles on non-waterproof mascara...probably why they also make an eye makeup remover from this line... Probably will fun out fairly quick for 5 or 6 bucks I've only used this a couple times as of 1/13/13, so I will update in a week if my skin gets angry at this

Hair -Clairol - herbal essences honey i'm strong shampoo and conditioner
rated 4 of 5
Popcornshrimp 1/11/2013 10:42:00 PM

I usually don't buy the same products twice, I love to try the latest products. However, I got the smaller bottle of the conditioner and loved it so much I got the giant chubby bottles of the shampoo and conditioner. Smells good and really has made my hair look a lot better compared to all the other products. Pair it with a shine serum and it's the best hair products I've tried high end and drug store.
