Wow! This stuff rocks!
I know the price tag on this is pretty steep; but it's worth it!! It's a lot cheaper that going in for Microdermabrasion Treatments!
You use a very small amount, about the size of a nickel, for your whole face.
You're supposed to use it every 2-3 days; but my skin is on the tougher side, so I've been using it every other day for 2 weeks now.
I get those little clogged pores (milia?), they're not blackheads, but not whiteheads; just little bumps. Anyway, those are already starting to clear up, and my skin looks a lot brighter! One of my friends even noticed!
I've been pairing this with DDF's Sulfur Therapeutic Mask. I use the scrub in the shower, then I apply the mask after I get out, b/c my pores are open from the steam.
If you've been on the fence about trying this stuff, then get either the Lineless or Poreless Kits available. You get a 1oz jar of this stuff, along with a whole regimen of things to try.
I got the poreless kit & really like the Pore Effect nightly treatment as well.
If you have sensitive eyes, toss the C Eye Cream in the garbage! It will burn!! Other than that, everything else from this line is great!
Do not use this eye cream if you wear contacts or have sensitive eyes! This eye cream made my eyes water so bad that they were red all day long and sensitive to light! I had to miss 1 day of work b/c I couldn't open my eyes enough to drive! Even after rinsing my eyes & using Visine, they still are burning. Vitamin C does have it's benefits, but I don't think it's good in eye creams b/c it irritates the eyes too easily.
Styling Products -Sebastian - Shaper Shape Shift Hybrid Putty

A great paste/putty for short to medium hair. It should work on all types of hair, just use less product if you have fine hair, as I do. With my red hair, I am always on the search for a good paste that has hold, as well as some shine. Most products either have hold, but are too matte; or give shine, but no hold. The Matte finish products work great in blonde hair, but make my red hair look dull. Overall, I'd have to give this paste an A+ b/c it's the 1st paste that I've found to give me everything I've been looking for- Hold, shine, and not too heavy for fine hair. This is also the 1st jar of paste that I've ever used up w/o getting tired of it, or giving it away to someone.
Treatments (Eye) -Aubrey Organics - Lumessence Rejuvenating Eye Cream
PnkCosmoXtraLime 9/29/2004 3:05:00 PM
Wow! Great eye cream!
It's sheer & non-greasy; and it brightens & firms! It comes in an "airless" dispenser which prevents contamination. It's a shimmery gold color; I don't know if the color diffuses dark circles- bur I did notice a great improvement in my under eye area after using this AM & PM for 1 week.
At $22.50 for 0.5oz; it's actually cheaper than most of Sephora's brands.
What a great moisturizer! Please don't be fooled by the color! I love that it has skin-protecting antioxidants as well as Spf10. This doen't clog my pores at all. It also, surprisingly, makes for a great foundation primer! My makeup goes on very smooth over this.
Cleansers -Aubrey Organics - Green Tea & Ginkgo Facial Cleansing Lotion
PnkCosmoXtraLime 9/29/2004 2:45:00 PM
A great cleanser for normal or combo skin! My skin is classic combo that is on the oily side in summer, and more normal to dry in the winter. The Green Tea & Ginko is great for me to use during the winter months. (I use the Blue Algae in summer) I feel like it does a great job of cleansing my skin w/o overdrying; and it does not aggravate my breakouts at all.
A great cleanser for combo to oily skin! It makes my skin feel clean w/o over-drying. It also didn't bother my eyes at all.
Well, this didn't burn my face like some of the reviewers. I don't think it's suitable for day use, though; b/c when I put moisturizer & foundation on top of it, it all starts to "roll" off my skin. It's like the Ester C doesn't soak all the way in or something. I do like how my skin looked brighter after using it, though. So, I've tried using it at night, and my skin does look brighter in the morning after using it. I just got a sample of this in the sample kit, it's OK, but I don't think I'll be repurchasing this one.
Masks -Kiss My Face - Obsessively Organic Pore Shrink
PnkCosmoXtraLime 9/29/2004 2:29:00 PM
OMG!! Love this mask!! A definite staple for me. I have hormonal breakouts (cheek & jawline), and this has done a FABULOUS job of controlling them! The Clove & Tea Tree in this mask are definitely tingly, so this is not suitable for sensitive skin. But for normal to oily skin, it's great! I use it about every other day, and even friends have noticed a change in my skin. My pores are smaller, my skin is smoother, and it's really helped to get rid of the small little bumps that I have a problem with. I will definitely repurchase this, even though it is on the pricey side for the size; but if you're used to buying skincare from places like Sephora, then the price really isn't that bad.
Overall, this is a pretty decent product. The Tea Tree & Witch Hazel disinfect & neutralize bacteria. It feels very tingly when I put it on; like it's deep cleaning my pores. I use the Break Out gel as a night treatment, then dab either QHMJ or DDF 5% Benzoyl on blemishes. I use the Pore Shrink mask in the morning when I get out of the shower (the shower steam opens pores). Using the 2 products together seems to be doing a pretty good job of controlling my hormonal breakouts. My ONLY complaint about Break Out gel is the packaging. It is much too runny to be in a tube. It should be in some kind of a pump bottle. I tap the product upside-down, (with the lid facing the ceiling)then CAREFULLY open the lid while still upside-down, then squeeze the product out. I am still undecided as to whether I'll repurchase. It does seem rather pricey for such a small tube. We'll have to see how long it lasts.
This face wash is just OK for me. It really needs to come in a pump; since it is much too runny for a tube. The formula is best suited for oily skins; as it made my combo skin feel pretty tight & dry in the cheek area. It's also not suitable for removing eye makeup. (I prefer a cleanser that is gentle enought to remove eye makeup as well as clean my face.)
Eye Primer -Urban Decay - Eyeshadow Primer Potion - Original (UDPP)
PnkCosmoXtraLime 8/16/2004 8:11:00 PM
THE BEST! I can't rave enough about this! My e/s stays on just as long, if not longer than when I use MAC Paints.
I like that it is a nice sheer, neutral shade. It should wear well on most skintones, and the true color of your e/s shows.
As far as application goes, I dab a little on my lid with the wand, then smooth it out from lashline to brow with my finger.
This is definitely a new staple & HG for me. UD better not ever discontinue this fabulous product!
This is the BEST clarifying shampoo for color-treated hair! It removes product build-up w/o stripping your color. I would recommend using this about once every 2 weeks, and follow with a deep conditioner.
I got the Tan Towel Plus. I like the fact that it's easy to apply, doesn't streak, and doesn't have much of an odor. I do wish it would provide a bit more color, though. I'm an olive-skinned NC25 & I only start to see color after the 2nd day in a row of using this. 1 towel was enough to do both legs, and I wiped what ever was left on my arms. I think I would repurchase this just b/c it's so portable. Very easy to take along on vacation.
Self Tanners -Clinique - Quick Bronze self-tanner self-sun body
PnkCosmoXtraLime 8/2/2004 8:27:00 PM
Another summertime staple for me. I think I mostly like the fact that this doesn't have that strong "self-tanner smell" that most do. I use it mostly on my legs, since they hardly ever see the sun, and I can wear a skirt in the summer w/o feeling "pasty." The color is very subtle, so if you want more color, then get the dark one. I'm an olive toned NC25, and I like this one b/c it adds just a hint of color w/o being too obvious. I like the shimmer in it too. Makes my legs look so much better in the summer!
