Eye Shadow -Maybelline - Roller Color loose powder eyeshadow
Pixie12775 7/26/2004 6:42:00 PM
I got just about every color of the Roller Colors and happy with just about every one of them. They are super shimmery and go on relatively easily. They stay put the best when you use a base first. If you tap the tube it tends to glide on easier. Super blendable with other colors. I usually get all my drugstore brand cosmetics when they are on sale or I have coupons. CVS and Walgreen's are constantly having Buy One Get One Free sales and that's when I stock up. Would recommend.
I bought all these 5 Dimension Lipsticks when my trendsetter AVON rep showed me the new brochure. I just got them and really do like them. They are very shiny, maybe not as "holgraphic" as I would like but they definitely work. I got all colors: Mocha Flip, Violet Flip, Citrus Flip, Cherry Flip and Pearl Flip for $3.99 each. I usually do not like darker colors, but these show up very nice without being too loud. Citrus Flip is my favorite. Wasn't happy with the 3-D eyeshadows, but the 3-D lipsticks are great! Would recommend.
I just got the new Dimension Eyeshadows from AVON and I am a little disappointed. My AVON rep is a trendsetter so I get a peek at the upcoming items about a month earlier than they are normally available. When I saw these I couldn't wait and ordered all 5 colors: Violet Flip, Mocha Flip, Citrus Flip, Steel Flip, and Blue Flip. They were on sale for $3.99 each. I was hoping they would be like the L'Oreal Holographics, but they are not as nice. They don't really look "holographic" at all and I was hoping for the great effect the L'Oreal ones have. Overall, they are nice luminous shadows, but if you are looking for a 3-D effect go look for the L'OREAL holographic line. They are about the same price as AVON's sale price, $3-$4 USD. Would not buy the shadows again, but the Dimension Lipsticks are great.
I love the Revlon Wet/Dry Quads and they are an exceptional value since you get 4 great colors for a low price. I paid about $5 at Wal-Mart and wound up buying several after trying just one. Pastel Freeze is my favorite. The colors look great dry, but even more FABULOUS wet. When you apply wet they are luminous and shiny, stay put for hours! They blend easily too and I use all four colors at once, but don't look heavily made up. The colors just "go together". Would recommend, this is one of my FAVORITE powder shadows. Just wish they would come out with some more colors, I have them all and can't get enough!
Eye Shadow -Revlon - Shimmy Eye Shadow - Champagne

Don't be fooled by the cute packaging of the Shimmy Eye Shadows. I had coupons and wound up getting these for about $2 a pop so I tried all of them. Unfortunately they are not as "shimmery" as they look in the package. They are plain and just not that impressive. Don't think I would buy again.
I had never liked liquid liner because it just seemed too messy for me and seemed to smear everywhere. I had got this on clearance for about $4 so I tried it and fell in love. The application is super EASY because of the sponge applicator. It stays put throughout the day, but can smear a little if you sweat. I do not get that nasty eye goop either with this product. I am sold on this and would definitely buy again. As a matter of fact after about 4-5 months I finally ran out and had to buy again for about $7..a STEAL. I use it almost every day and to last for about 4-5 months it is GREAT!
Eye Shadow -L'Oreal - Holographic - Royal Sapphire
Pixie12775 7/26/2004 6:04:00 PM
I bought five of these holographic colors for about $3.50 a pop at my local Wal-Mart when I saw the new display. You can't tell from the packaging just how "holographic" they are so I was a little reluctant. But when you apply these they shimmer and shine all over. They are ALL great colors and I can't wait for more. Royal Sapphire is not as dark blue as it looks in the packaging. You can apply lighter for a pretty look. Would recommend and at $3.50 they are a STEAL!
Lip Gloss -Revlon - Super Lustrous Lip Gloss (general)
Pixie12775 7/26/2004 6:01:00 PM
I was drawn to these lip glosses by their cute packaging and the fact that they were Buy One Get One Free at my local CVS. I went ahead and bought several different colors, but unfortunately I was dissapointed. The colors (just about EVERY one I tried) are way TOO sheer for me. Can hardly see any color and they are very sticky. My long hair frequently gets caught in it which is just nasty and messy. It wasn't bad since I got them so cheap, but for about $6-$7 USD a pop I would not buy again.
Lipstick -Maybelline - Forever Metallics - Pink Zinc
Pixie12775 7/26/2004 5:52:00 PM
This was one of the first Forever Metallics I bought and I fell in love with this pretty pink color. It is very light pink with a very pretty shiny effect. I got a couple other colors and this one is in a tie with Fool's Gold as being my favorite. Would recommend.
Lipstick -Maybelline - Wet Shine Lipstick - Plum Skies (LE Summer '04)
Pixie12775 7/26/2004 5:51:00 PM
I bought this in a clearanced set at Target and was happily surprised with this color. It is a luminous light color; not just plain jane. Would definitely recommend...if you can find it any more.
Lip Gloss -L'Oreal - Glam Shine Holographic in Whirl
Pixie12775 7/26/2004 5:48:00 PM
I buy A LOT of make-up ( I AM addicted) and this is by far one of my favorite glosses. I kept eyeing it up whenver I would go to the drugstore, but kept passing because at $8 I couldn't justify having yet ANOTHER lip gloss to throw in the drawer. They went on sale Buy One Get One Free so I figured WOO HOO! I was not dissapointed at all and I love the pink shimmer of this gloss. Although I see this listed under Holgraphic I do not believe it is; it just has Glam Shine on the package although at first I thought it was too since it was on display with other Holgraphic colors. Would recommend, even at $8, but a sale is always better!
I have the eye markers in three colors and this one is average. It looks best with a dark black eyeliner if you have a paler complexion. Overall, the alumina is my favorite eye marker, but I would recommend this one also.
I have this eyeliner, but wasn't very happy with the color. I like the more "shiny" colors and this is kind of matte. Not the kind of liner I usually buy. The alumina, however, is great. I would try other colors.
Blush -mark - Tint, Tint Lip and Cheek Gel - Nectar
Pixie12775 7/26/2004 5:37:00 PM
I like this color of the Tint, Tint Lip and Cheek Gel although the application is not very good. It does stain your fingers. This color is golden and looks great on your lips too. Would recommend this color; it is one of my favs.
I have the Tint,Tint Lip and Cheek Gel in 2 colors-Petal and Nectar. I am not very happy with the Petal; it's a little darker than I like. It is not overall a bad product, but it does stain your fingers which is the most convenient way to apply. Don't think I'd buy this color again, but I am willing to try more.
