Lip Treatments -eos - Lip Balm sphere -medicated tangerine
rated 4 of 5

I like this. I bought this because my lips get really REALLY dry on occasion and I break out in a rash (no cold sores mind you... Like contact dermatitis from using the wrong toothpaste or what-have you...). As my lips heal or are irritated they get super dry. This medicated lip balm has phenol in it which acts to slightly numb painful or sore lips. It's a life saver for that reason. It also has a larger amount of shea butter in the formula than the other eos balms. Because it's formulated slightly different is has a creamier richer feel. Very comforting when you have lips that are itchy, red, dry, and allergic. I like the fun original packaging, although for some it may be too bulky. I was able to get mine at a reasonable price $2.99 at Wegmans (Mid- Atlantic/NE grocery chain) so the price didn't bother me at all. The only complaint I have is that it's got a pretty sweet taste that can be annoying sometimes. Because I enjoyed this one so much, I went to purchase the summer fruits one and I'm liking that one as well for an everyday lip balm when my lips are in good condition,

Blush -Everyday Minerals - Girl Friday
rated 5 of 5
Pink_Starlette 9/26/2012 12:54:00 PM

This blush is a beautiful matte berry-plum shade, perfect for a lot of skin tones. Gives a beautiful pop of color to the cheeks, or lips mixed with carmex, looks like a soft pink-red berry shade with a hint of cool plum. It's such that my light skin can bare the intense pigments it has long as I apply using a dual fiber brush of some sort, or a light touch with a regular brush. It'd be perfect for medium skin tones too. And would add a vibrant pop of color to darker skin tones as well. Gorgeous, pigmented, matte. A small container will last me a lifetime. Perfect for every season! I will wear this with everything!

Polishes -Wet 'n' Wild - 2% Milk
rated 5 of 5
Pink_Starlette 7/12/2012 8:15:00 AM

I have all the same raves as everyone else! I love this sheer neutral milky color. It's almost white but has a nice does of a pinky-peach tint added in. One coat on my nails looks very pretty and fresh. It's the perfect everyday nail polish, or the perfect polish to put on when you want your nails to look finished but not colorful. Such a classy pretty sheer neutral. I love the wide flat brush. I wish all nail polishes had brushes like this. And I love that the polish is long lasting and resistant to chipping. The price is like the cherry in top. $1.99 at CVS is great! I love this polish so much I want a whole wardrobe of colors from this formula. This however is one of maybe three neutral colors... the rest of the colors in the line are quite bright.

Hair -L'Oreal - EverPure Smooth Frizz-Free Serum
rated 5 of 5
Pink_Starlette 5/30/2012 10:30:00 PM

Love the pump packaging, works easily and looks nice. I apply about half a pump to my slightly-longer-than-chin-length hair while it's still wet. Then I comb it through with my brush. Totally eliminates any tangles as I'm combing my wet hair. Helps it dry slightly faster, makes it soft and less frizzy.. unlike other serums I've tried that leave me still frizzy but also with a straw-like texture. Absolutely love what this does for my hair. Also has some nice oils in it that are great for hair like Argan and I believe, Sunflower, while being much lighter on my hair, less oily and heavy than other serums (*cough* Morracanoil...) As stated I use this when my hair is wet and then later after it's dry I use the finishing cream... It's a winning combo for me. I will buy this over and over again!

Styling Products -L'Oreal - Eversleek Finishing Creme

Love the easy tube packaging. Very pleasant to use and the metallic gold is a nice look! Price is really good for what you get. A large amount of product that requires very little product per use. No cones, works great at adding that nice soft shine and touchable-ness to hair, helps to tame frizz, and add gentle texture without the heavy greasies. Makes my hair look great. Mild clean scent. I will buy this over and over again!

Liquid -Clinique - Stay-Matte Oil-Free Makeup
rated 4 of 5
Pink_Starlette 5/19/2012 11:36:00 AM

I had the ma at the clinique counter at Macy's try this on me. She used the color Creamwhip and a foundation brush. For reference I wear the lightest shade of Neutrogena's loose mineral powder. Can't remember the exact name of it. But it's mineral powder that's loose! I'll be trying the product out to day on my own so I may update this review later. I did buy the creamwhip shade. The foundation lasted a good 6 hours with out fading on me. I live in some semi-humid heat on the east coast. The humidity could have been less, but it could have been much worse too. Bought the foundation to wear for a family reunion in Texas in a couple of weeks, After the first 6 hours of wear, it did start to get a little patchy but never disappeared or got close to it. It seemed fairly water and transfer resistant, but I didn't do any major testing. I just didn't notice any problems with that. I do want to add that I had worn no moisturizer or primer, and it wasn't set with a powder. I think that with a nice moisturizer and/or primer (I normally use Clinique's Moisture Surge), and a light setting powder, this foundation will wear even longer and look even better on my skin. I have cheeks and certain parts of my face that dry out pretty easily but my t-zone will get quite shiny on a hot humid afternoon. I use Clinque's Extra mild "lotiony" cleaner, Thayer's rose witch hazel, and Clinique Moisture Surge on almost a daily basis for my skin care both morning and evening. I didn't notice any irritation or drying after using all day yesterday. The coverage was quite heavy, possibly due to the way the ma put it on me, but I think it will be easily wearable at a more sheer level and can be build up to what seemed like medium-full coverage. Color was a good match and I didn't notice any orange-i-ness as the day went on. Over all, this is exactly what I thought it was going to be and I'm happy that I was able to find a color that matched so well! Worth the extra dollars for a product that it gentle on my skin, matches well, and wears well, even if the product itself isn't a miracle in a bottle, I've found something that will work really well for me.

Lotions/ Creams -LUSH - Sympathy for the Skin
rated 5 of 5
Pink_Starlette 1/26/2012 5:16:00 PM

Okay, expensive, yes. But I will buy it over and over now that I bought one tub and have tried it. It's light weight yet nourishing. It heals my ecxema patches. My skin loves it! And the scent is very subtle and pleasant. No silicones or heavy things that sit on my skin. I am loving every bit of this lotion :0) I should note that the little vanilla bean specks in it don't desolve when I rub it into my skin. They look like black speckles on my skin. Not obvious enough to bother me but it may bother others.

Crème -Maybelline - Dream Smooth Mousse
rated 5 of 5
Pink_Starlette 10/21/2011 9:20:00 PM

So, I was also pleasantly surprised by this product! I don't normally buy anything Maybelline brand. For whatever reason I just prefer other drugstore brands over Maybelline usually. However, I was needing a more moist full coverage sort of foundation. My skin has been slowly becoming dryer and dryer even in the tropical climate where I currently live, and my Bare Escentuals Matte was no longer cutting it for me. I wanted full coverage and moist! So, my initial choice was mark brand Min-a-real foundation but I have to order that and it won't be here for another 2-3 weeks. And because I really needed something TODAY, I headed to the drugstore. I really couldn't handle wearing powder foundation for one more day.... Because I don't usually wear Maybelline foundation, I kind of had to take a wild guess as to what my shade would be. I'm fair, but have a slight tan on my face, so I new I wasn't the lightest shade (Classic Ivory). Nude looked too yellow to me, and having foundations be too yellow/golden has been a problem for me a few times before. The one I ended up choosing was Creamy Natural. I believe that is the correct name. #200 Over all I am very pleased with the shade. It doesn't make my look jaundice and yellow, but it also doesn't make me look bubblegum pink either! It's a really nice neutral shade for light skinned ladies. Definitely for cool skin tones that don't have yellow or gold in them. I like the package. It keeps the sponge away from the actual product but it's still convenient. I used the sponge to apply by dabbing it lightly into the product and then stippling it onto my skin. I got nice medium to full coverage that way and I am beyond pleased! It doesn't make me feel greasy either, just soft and supple, with a hint of moisture remaining on the skin. Over all, good color choice for me, works very well with my normal to dry sensitive skin type, really affordable, and readily available at just about any store that carries drugstore brands of cosmetics.

Polishes -Wet 'n' Wild - Megalast in Heatwave
rated 5 of 5
Pink_Starlette 8/16/2011 4:29:00 PM

Great nail polish! The formula dries creamy and shiny, last 3-4 days with out chipping and then fades on the tips from wear. It makes touch ups a breeze when polishes wear this way! I love the formula! And the flat bursh, painting it easy. The color is like molten lava. I bright orange-red. Cream finish. Perfect for summer, really eye popping with out being florescent!

Polishes -Wet 'n' Wild - Megalast in Undercover
rated 5 of 5
Pink_Starlette 8/16/2011 4:21:00 PM

I had the opposite experience of the reviewer 's below. I love this polish! And it's so affordable I can go back for more shades. The formula of the Megalast nail colors is great. Right up there with the salon brands. On me this formula is a creamy shiny opaque finish, in just two coats. It doesn't chip for 3-4 days on my nails and only fades naturally starting at my nail tips, so touch ups become super easy with the way this stuff wears on me. I love the brush! Flat, but not to fat.. like I've experienced with some OPI polishes. I love a flat brush, but if it's too wide, it makes it hard to paint since I have small nails. So this brush is flat, AND the perfect medium size! Lastly, the color! It's like melted hot chocolate mixed with mauve. Love it! Medium shade depth and a lovely polished neutral color! Makes me feel refined with out feeling old. Cream finish of course, as are all mega last colors.

Mascara -Wet 'n' Wild - Megalash Clinical Mascara
rated 4 of 5
Pink_Starlette 8/15/2011 2:42:00 PM

Great cheap mascara! Gives my length and volume a boost with out being over the top. I can wear this everyday, all day, no clumpy or over dramatic spider lashes. Doesn't migrate to my lover eye and give me raccoon eyes. And leaves my lashes soft, not crunchy. The only con I've noticed so far is that towards the end of the day, it flakes a little. I think that's because I tend to rub my eyes a bit though. No extreme flaking though, just a tad. For $4.99, I will continue to repurchase because I like it's performance, wear, application, and washability better than most other mascaras I've used in the recent past

Lipstick -Wet 'n' Wild - In The Flesh
rated 5 of 5
Pink_Starlette 8/15/2011 2:34:00 PM

This is seriously an everyday color for me. This works with just about any outfit or shade I might be wearing. It's an elegant matte mlbb color, with out being too mauve, pink, orange, or brown... It's the perfect neutral. Ideal for light to light-medium skin tones. May even work on medium skin. I could see myself buying this color over and over again! I feel great wearing this color because it brings attention and definition to my lips with out making them the main focus of my face. Also, the formula, for me, is ideal! Doesn't bleed or migrate anywhere, stays put. Leaves a stain on my lips as the product starts wearing off. I'm not left colorless until my next touch up. Goes on creamy, and dries to a creamy matte. The formula can be drying, but is easily fixed by applying a lip balm first, or lip gloss after, depending on the look I'm going for. Definitely worth a try if you are looking for a nice neutral everyday color!

Lips -Everyday Minerals - High Tea Traders Lip Balm
rated 5 of 5
Pink_Starlette 7/27/2011 3:22:00 PM

Reasonably priced, all natural, great lip balm. The scent is a very light lemon chamomile. Just plain pleasant and earthy and not overwhelming. What I really love about this balm is the perfect silky creamy texture as it glides on my lips. It seems far superior to the other natural lip balms I've tried before. Most others seem pretty waxy. So, definitely worth a try. I plan on purchasing more!

Lip Treatments -Everyday Minerals - Deep Kissing Buff & Shine Lip Polish
rated 5 of 5
Pink_Starlette 7/27/2011 3:05:00 PM

This is one of three lip scrubs I've tried, and I like it the best! I have also tried Mary Kay's and LUSH's but both of those cause me to break out along my lip line. This one from everyday minerals has a delicious orange chocolate scent/flavor, is all natural, is moist and packed with good-for-your-skin oils, and is incredibly exfoliating... all while not making my lip area break out! It's reasonably priced, too. When I use this before, and in combination with their High Tea Traders lip balm, and freshly brushed teeth... my mouth feels incredibly sexy :0)

Foundations -Everyday Minerals - light medium
rated 4 of 5
Pink_Starlette 7/22/2011 8:17:00 PM

Edit: I ended up using the whole sample I got, with out any change in opinions. This is a first for me and EM's foundations shades. It has taken forever to finally find a shade I am 100% happy with. Their products don't irritate my skin and are very affordable. I ordered a large size of this in the Semi-matte formula and I am beyond satisfied. I bought a sample size of this to use for a while in the semi matte formula. The reviewer below who advised to try it if the fairly light and fairly light neutral didn't quite work was spot on. Fairly light, on me was a bit too red/pink, and fairly light neutral had a very weird brownish beige tone to it. Light medium is a great alternative. It's the same depth of shade, but with more of a golden hue, not orange, not beige, not pink... the most natural color I've found for my skin tone from EdM.
