Mascara -Revlon - Revlon Grow Luscious Mascara
rated 4 of 5
PinkFix 6/25/2011 11:56:00 AM

Been using this mascara for a week. I love the effect. Lots of separation and length. Makes my lashes look... well... luscious! However, removal is my biggest gripe. Even after makeup removal wipes, washing my face and using my toner I wake up the next morning with mascara smudges under my eyes as if I didn't wash my face. I'll continue to use this product, but what's the removal trick here?

Lip Gloss -MAC - Emancipation
rated 4 of 5
PinkFix 2/25/2011 8:06:00 PM

LOVE the color. But I'm pretty sure every time I go to apply this, I drop some of the gloss because it flicks off the applicator when you try pulling it out of the tube. Worst design ever.

Mascara -Make Up For Ever - Smoky Lash Extra Black Mascara
rated 2 of 5
PinkFix 12/27/2010 3:55:00 PM

Don't really understand the hype over this mascara. I bought it because of the rave reviews and it's pretty underwhelming, in my opinion. I have to layer it with other mascaras to get the result I want. Alone, it leaves my lashes sparse and thin. I find the formula very... inky and runny, if that makes any sense.

Liquid -Make Up For Ever - Mat Velvet PLUS Matifying Foundation
rated 2 of 5
PinkFix 7/29/2010 7:48:00 PM

I won't buy this foundation again. I was excited to try it but it did nothing for me. I find the formula very thin and the coverage leaves much to be desired. By the end of the day, the redness around certain areas of my face is totally visible. It did nothing to keep me less oily and it settles quite easily into my smile lines. Unfortunate for such an expensive product.

Primer/ Corrector -Urban Decay - De-Slick in a Tube Mattifying Gel
rated 3 of 5

Not a miracle in a tube. When I first starting using it, I had hope. But I feel like my skin quickly got used to the formula and it really does nothing to prevent oil.

Treatments -Garnier - Fructis Triple Nutrition Nutrient Spray
rated 5 of 5
PinkFix 7/6/2010 6:01:00 PM

Bought this product because my hair has been dry and constantly tangled this summer. Shake this baby up, spray it on my damp hair and comb through with ease. Once my hair was dry, it didn't have that brittle feel which is exactly what I wanted. Can't stay what it does when you spray it on dry hair because I simply bought it to use after the shower on a hot day. The only thing I don't like is how small the bottle is. There's some awesome ingredients in it so, it seems like overall a great product.

Makeup Brushes -MAC - 182 Buffer Brush
rated 4 of 5
PinkFix 1/2/2010 11:58:00 PM

I love this brush, I use it with my MSF Natural and it's amazing... but it smells SO BAD. To me, it smells like moth balls. And to boot, the black dye comes out every time I wash it. But the dye doesn't even bother me as much because the smell is just so overwhelming. I have over a dozen MAC brushes and none of them have EVER smelled. I'm shocked to go on here and hear that this is an issue with this brush. I'm going to attempt washing it with Enkore's deodorizing method to see if that helps. Yuck.

Treatments -Neutrogena - Ageless Intensives Tone Correcting Concentrated Serum, Night
rated 5 of 5
PinkFix 12/9/2009 11:47:00 PM

I was a HUGE FAN of Neutrogena's Visibly Even Night Concentrate and was literally devastated when it was discontinued. I tried a few other products to replace it and nothing compared. When I saw a commercial for this new night cream, I went RIGHT out to the store to pick it up and am so excited that this is basically what Visibly Even Night Concentrate was but just repackaged!! I love it. The only difference I've come across is this formula doesn't dry that quickly and leaves my skin a bit tacky feeling for a few minutes - but that's not a huge deal. This cream is an amazing addition to any night skin routine. After cleansing and toning, my skin drinks this stuff up. I can't imagine using any other kind of cream on my face at night. The soy is very calming and the retinol is really awesome at fading scars and keeping the skin clear, even and smooth. I'm hoping this stuff stays around. I might go stock up just incase because I love it so much. Don't even care about the price tag!

Misc Beauty Tools -Clarisonic - Mia
rated 3 of 5
PinkFix 12/3/2009 7:47:00 PM

I was so excited to purchase the Mia during the Sephora friends and family sale this year. I've always wanted a Clarisonic and thought the sale would be a perfect time to invest in one. I've been using it now for about 2 months and waited to review it. I'm really upset to say that I'm not that happy with it. Before I go any further, let me say this gadget IS a great little wonder. It is easy and convenient to use and most importantly it DOES clean my skin very well. However, maybe my expectations were too high but the Mia has not been a miracle worker. If anything, it's made keeping up with my skin more difficult. The first week or so, I was floored by how baby soft the Mia made my skin feel. I thought, wow... if this keeps up... this will be life-changing. Starting the second week I began to break out. This kept up for about another week and I chalked it up to the whole "purging" excuse. The break outs died down but then right before my first period while using the Mia, I broke out like I've never broken out before. We're talking deep cystic pimples. I get a pimple or two around my time of the month, but never like this. One of the spots was so bad that I was actually wearing Neosporin because it turned into an open wound! Once the break-out died down, it left scarring. I can easily count about 5 scars on my face from my last period - and my face still isn't completely clear. Since then I've switched to the sensitive brush head to see if that would help. I normally do not have sensitive skin but I thought maybe that could be the problem, but I've seen no real change. Now I'm about to hit that time of the month again and I'm just waiting to see what's going to happen. I'm wondering if I'm still going through the whole "purge" or if the Mia really isn't for me. Also, I've never felt my skin as smooth as it was after the first few days I started using the Mia. I don't get that crazy amazing smooth feel anymore. The only thing it has really helped with has been the blackheads on my nose - they have pretty much disappeared. Other than that, my skin wasn't visibly better because I started using the Mia. I know it's cleaning my skin because when I use a toner, there's pretty much no dirt (whereas before I used the Mia my toner would pick up so much crap)... so... I don't know. I want to love it but it's literally scarring me right now. I think I'm going to give it another month and see what the final verdict is. I might change the cleanser I'm using with it as well. Right now I'm using Ole Henriksen African Red Tea Foaming Cleanser per a Sephora employee who recommended it to use with a Clarisonic. I'll try to remember to come back and update once another month passes.

**UPDATE** It's that time of the month and my face is horribly broken out again. Two cystic spots in addition to 2 other break out areas. Ditched the Ole Henricksen and switched to a Neutrogena foaming cleaner to match my regular cleanser. Will try this combo for a week or so and see how it goes. Might do what the person above me did and also invest in a delicate brush head after already trying the normal and sensitive with no luck. I don't want to give up on the Mia! **UPDATE 2** So, I switched cleansers like I said and while I think it's working a little better, I got another cystic pimple on my chin 2 days ago and it's no where near my time of the month yet. I miss my clear skin! I'm so over this. I'm switching to just using my Clarisonic on my nose and maybe take it to the rest of my face only once a week. :( I'll see how that goes.

Mascara -Maybelline - Great Lash BIG
rated 5 of 5
PinkFix 10/12/2009 8:42:00 PM

Great mascara. No complaints about it. I was pleasantly surprised. Love the big brush, love the formula. The best part is that it kept my curl all day. I've tried just about every "hot" drug store mascara and nothing has held the curl as noticeably as this mascara.

Polishes -OPI - Drip Dry
rated 5 of 5
PinkFix 9/28/2009 8:58:00 PM

NO MORE BED SHEET NAILS! I am in love with this little lifesaver of a product. Like the box says, my nails were dry to the touch within a minute and I was able to go about my business 5 or so minutes later. My nails felt really smooth and hard after just having painted them rather than being tacky and sticky. Awesome awesome results. I always seem to want to do a million things after having painted my nails (laundry, cleaning, cooking, sleeping) and would constantly be unhappy with dents, nicks and smudges. Not with this! I was amazed. I only wish I had read the reviews before throwing out the tiny cap it comes with. I was upset about impending evaporation however, I found out the cap to a Visine bottle screws on perfectly. So, if you happen to throw it out like me and have a bottle of Visine around, use that!

Blush -MAC - Mineralize Skinfinish - Porcelain Pink
rated 5 of 5
PinkFix 7/13/2009 7:32:00 PM

I find the texture of this MSF to be a lot like the MSFs from Sugar Sweet. In the pan, it looks almost matte. It's not full of chunky glitter at all, which is great. I think the pigmentation is absolutely awesome. I have both Petticoat and Light Flush, and I would use this instead of those two any day. The goldish pink iridescence is perfect as a highlight - not only with pink but even peachy blushes, too. And it isl be great over light pink blushes to give them some kick. I hardly use my Well Dressed blush in the summer because my tan makes it too light, but with a sweep of Porcelain Pink over it - it looks absolutely awesome. Don't pass this one up!

Blush -MAC - Fad-Dabulous
rated 5 of 5
PinkFix 7/13/2009 7:26:00 PM

I originally was all about getting Daft Pink from this collection, but when I swatched it next to Fad-Dabulous, I was sold on Fad-Dabulous. Daft Pink unfortunately looks just like any other pink to me. Fad-Dabulous was a really pretty rosey amber on me... very unique looking. When I used it today, I was a bit hesitant on the shimmer factor but it surprisingly came off very soft looking and it was very buildable. I went back into the pan a few times with no problem. Paired with Porcelain Pink MSF as a highlight, it makes for a beautiful warm cheek.

Lipstick -MAC - Patisserie
rated 4 of 5

Like someone said, it reminds me a lot of Buoy-o-Buoy from Naughty Nauticals. But I love Buoy-o-Buoy so, it was a great buy! It's definitely a YLBB shade.

Lip Gloss -MAC - Dazzle Glass Roman Holiday
rated 5 of 5
PinkFix 7/12/2009 10:25:00 AM

I can't believe there aren't a ton of reviews for this color! I have about a dozen Dazzleglasses and this is absolutely my favorite one. It's probably the most unique lip color I own right now. It's an amazing fiery pinked bronze. Love it over Patisserie from Euristocrats II. Awesome awesome unique color.
