I have been in love with it for 30 years now! Unique, clean scent with a powerful vanilla note. Sweet, warm, cosy, long-lasting and distinct. Like a cashmere-sweater. Will rebuy as long as it`s sold.

Brows -MAC - Brow Finisher
rated 4 of 5
Phyrne 8/5/2010 7:19:00 AM

I own the clear version of this. After applying Nars ipanema eyebrow pencil, I apply the brow finisher and finally trim eyebrows with a brush. They stay put that way, look shimmery, natural and polished and no visible oozy residues spoil the look as is the case with gels. However, I doubt whether the product is strong enough for really unruly hair

Eye Shadow -NARS - Kilimanjaro Duo
rated 5 of 5
Phyrne 8/5/2010 7:07:00 AM

A highlighter duo consisting of two unique, useful shades that complement every look imaginable. The one a cooler-toned pinkish white, the other a warmer-toned whitish gold, both radiantly shimmery without any trashy glitter and both achieving a very transparent, natural and flattering result. Under the brow I pair them with Benefits high brow pencil as there their highlighting potential is almost too sheer. They both make eyeshadows and eyeliners more interesting and also prolong their staying-power. An every-day-product for me!

Eyeliner -Urban Decay - Underground 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil
rated 5 of 5
Phyrne 8/5/2010 6:55:00 AM

High quality product with a gorgeous, truly unique color - a taupey bronze, intense but natural, radiantly shimmery without trashy glitter, high staying power and really does justice to its name "glide-on". Well spent money!

Eye Shadow -NARS - Cream - Pearl Beach
rated 2 of 5
Phyrne 8/5/2010 6:50:00 AM

Generally I`m a huge fan of Nars Cream Eyeshadows as their color range is simply gorgeous and I discovered a method to make them stay put for 24 hours: prime your lids (I use too faced), apply the cream eyeshadow with a brush (artificial bristles) and a drop of DuWop`s payoff and finally use a good fixing powder on top (normally meant for camouflage make-up). Whether carioca, mykonos, nomad or lido they look best when simply used as a wash together with highlighter. I was, however, very disappointed with pearl beach. The color payoff is very poor and what showed up with considerable effort was a trashy multicolored dirty rose-color that looked tear-stained instead of flattering.

Eye Shadow -NARS - Cream - Nomad
rated 5 of 5
Phyrne 8/5/2010 6:40:00 AM

Simply gorgeous! Unique transparent result. In the pan the color looks much deeper than on your lids where it produces a matte military fatigue green tinge that looks very smouldering. Staying power would indeed be a counter-argument. However, I discovered a method to make Nars cream eyeshadows stay put for 24 hours: prime your lids (I use too faced), apply the cream eyeshadow with a brush (artificial bristles) and a drop of DuWop`s payoff and finally use a good fixing powder on top (normally meant for camouflage make-up). Best use nomad as a wash together with highlighter, don`t destroy the unique color by blending it with others!

Simply gorgeous! Unique and transparent result. In the pan the color looks much deeper than on your lids where it produces a radiant, naturally shimmery mahogany tinge that looks very polished. Staying power would indeed be a counter-argument. Use mykonos as a wash together with highlighter, don`t destroy the unique color by blending it with others!

Eye Shadow -NARS - Cream - Carioca
rated 5 of 5
Phyrne 8/5/2010 6:30:00 AM

Simply gorgeous! Especially on blonde pale women this achieves a unique radiant and transparent result. Don`t expect the bright turquoise in the pan to be transferred to your lids - this would be horrible anyway. Instead your lids get a tinge of blue and look polished and natural like that of a baby. Use carioca as a wash together with highlighter, don`t destroy the unique color by blending it with others!

Eye Shadow -NARS - Cream Eyeshadow

Gorgeous color range and unique quality. Even bright colors like the turquoise carioca or the violet lido produce a delicate transparent finish not achievable with other products. I agree that the staying power is poor when simply applied. However, I discovered a method to make them stay put for 24 hours: prime your lids (I use too faced), apply the cream eyeshadow with a brush (artificial bristles) and a drop of DuWop`s payoff and finally use a good fixing powder on top (normally meant for camouflage make-up). That way you won`t have problems with creasing anymore and it`s worthwile the effort. One color as a wash only paired with highlighter looks best.

Eye Shadow -T. LeClerc - Voile Etoile 101
rated 2 of 5

Wonderful retro packaging and gorgeous colour - a soft light rosewood. Eye-opening, flattering, perfect for a nude look. If only there wasn`t all that chunky cheap-looking glitter! The continuous fall-out is almost embarrassing. Couldn`t they make it in matte?

Eye Shadow -MAC - parfait amour shadow
rated 5 of 5

Everybody complains that once applied this color doesn`t look as gaudy as in the pan anymore. Do you really like to fake bruises? The translucent paint application delicately shimmering in pale lilac is in fact what makes this eyeshadow a winner! I like to use it wet as an eyeliner on the upper lashline and then even tone it down further by applying Yogurt over it. In this way Parfait Amour gets a wonderful subtle smoke blue quality. Looking at the pan one wouldn`t indeed anticipate how perfectly this eyeshadow fits into a groomed nude look.

Skincare - Body -Nuxe - Huile Prodiguese Or
rated 3 of 5

I´m a pale blonde and this product isn`t multi-purpose for me. On my skin it moisturizes well but leaves an almost dirty-looking sheen. For girls with darker skin types the shimmer would surely look fantastic and golden as it is meant to be. However, applied (in small amounts) on the dry lengths of my hair this works great, nurtures, helps against tangles and intensifies the color, leaving my hair wonderfully shiny. The spray flacon is perfect for that purpose. Nevertheless the price is ridiculous and I won`t buy again.

Lipstick -MAC - Lustre in Syrup
rated 4 of 5
Phyrne 3/23/2010 7:47:00 AM

Rosy, glossy, smooth lips appearing like given by nature alone. That`s the effect achieved with this lipstick. Perfect for pale blondes like me preferring a natural, nude look. Staying power, however, is far from remarkable. More that of a tinted lipbalm. Would nevertheless buy again.

Shampoo -L'Oreal - Gloss Color expert series
rated 5 of 5
Phyrne 3/23/2010 7:38:00 AM

My long golden blonde hair is bleached and not to damage its structure further I just dye the roots. With the result that especially in summer the color of the lengths fades. This shampoo is perfect to prevent this undesired effect in the most simple, even nurturing and volumizing way. The color is boosted gradually without any garish, all too visible effects. Apart from your hair, nothing else (towels etc.) gets stained. You can even mix different shades for interesting highlights. Use golden copper together with golden blonde and turn strawberry blonde, but bit by bit and adjustably. However, on darker hair the effects are surely less noticeable. I rebought numerous times and hope it will never be discontinued.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Eyeshadow in Malt
rated 5 of 5
Phyrne 3/23/2010 7:16:00 AM

For pale girls like me, a real treasure! The perfect shade to accentuate the crease in a natural, groomed way. Blendable like a dream. No trashy glitter, no plum in it that often gives blondes a sick looking eye area, no blueish brown either that creates a bruise-like appearance. Just a dab of rose for an awake "me-but-better-look". Especially flattering for green eyes. I love to combine it with yogurt on the lids and blanc type as highlighter. Would rebuy again but I doubt it will be necessary as a pan lasts forever.
