Hair -TiGi - Rockaholic Dry Shampoo
Phira 9/9/2012 4:09:00 PM
Absolutely love this product. I have seriously oily hair. I can wash my hair in the morning and it's oily by evening. I read the reviews before I bought this and still took a chance because everything I had tried just sucked. This is how I used this product. I first sprayed my part quickly, then turned my head upside down and sprayed my roots quickly. I left it on my scalp for a minute then brushed it out. It was great! Smells wonderful and my hair was clean and had volume all day. I had no issues with the can clogging nor did the can go empty after a few uses. I used this twice a week and the can lasted me about 4 months. There is a learning process with this product, so if you decide to try it, be patient and don't go spray crazy. Sometimes just spraying your part and lifting up at the side and back letting it sit then brushing your hands through your hair does the trick.

Fragrances -Issey Miyake - Florale
Phira 4/19/2012 8:19:00 AM
I purchased this assuming it was a lighter version of my HG Issey Miyake L'Eau D'Issey that I have worn for about 5 years now. This smells exactly like Stella by Stella McCartney but it doesn't powder down and smell musky. It keeps the crispness that I love from the original and adds a hint of softness to keep it interesting. A much better version of a rose scent.

Scrubs -Soap and Glory - The Scrub of Your Life
Phira 12/4/2011 9:50:00 AM
I bought this because I needed a good body scrub. I was pleasantly surprised by not just the scent (which is very clean and feminine) but how smooth it made my skin. It's not a harsh scrub at all so those with sensitive skin should have no problems using it, paired with the Righteous Body Butter this scented my skin all day and left it smooth as can be. Love!

Polishes -Zoya - jo Nail Polish
Phira 4/28/2011 3:12:00 PM
Jo is a really pretty periwinkle blue with shimmers of purple. A great color for Spring. This was pretty thick but only required two coats. The picture does not do it justice. Just stunning.

Polishes -Zoya - Suvi

Suvi is a gorgeous green. I didn't think it would work with my skin tone but it's amazing. :-) 2 coats for opacity. One coat would have been fine but I am a two coat girl.

Lip Treatments -Christian Dior - Addict Lip Glow Color Reviver Balm
Phira 1/2/2011 9:50:00 PM
I thought about this for about a month and decided to bite the bullet. I was apprehensive because most color changing balms seem to turn an ugly fuchsia. This brings a beautiful rosy color to my lips. It just deepens the natural pigment of my own natural lips and it's wonderful.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Caviar Dreams Quad
Phira 1/2/2011 9:41:00 PM
This eye shadow quad is so beautiful. * Brule (my HG highlighter color from the permanent collection.) So pretty. Sometimes I use this as an all over color when I want just a really natural look with only mascara. * Et tu, Bouquet? This is LE. I bought the quad just for this pink color believe it or not. I had hoped it was like Pink Source which I have hit pan on. It is not like Pink Source at all. It's much more sheer. It's a buildable color but not by much. Used wet it is really pretty. Used dry it gives a soft shimmer to the eye. Frosted pale pink (Frost) (Limited Edition) * Caviar Dreams This color is GORGEOUS! I used it first as a wet liner and it gave depth to my eyes without making them look to made up. As a lid color it brought out the gold in my eyes. It's Dirty frosted pewter (Lustre) (Limited Edition) * Retrospeck - This is going to be my fav color and I can't believe I never bought it from the perm. collection. It reminds me of MAC's Provence pigment. It's a taupey champagne color. They call it Beached Blonde. I think it's got more depth than that. (Lustre) (Permanent) I did have some fall out from the pink but not much. I love the sheerness of the colors and how they seem to brighten up my eyes. This is a really great natural eye palette.

Treatments -Moroccanoil - Morrocan Oil Treatment
Phira 11/18/2010 8:30:00 PM
I have been using MorrocanOil for some time now and love it. I had heard you can use this in your home hair coloring to make color last longer and give it extra shine. I needed to have my roots done so I decided to do it at home. I bought a box of Loreal 10 minute hair color in medium reddish brown. I wasn't sure how much oil to use so I dumped in one capful of the oil into the developer then added the tube of color. I shook it for about 2 minutes to make sure the oil was mixed in. I was very pleased with how the color went on my hair. Very smooth. I was also pleased with how this rinsed out. I was concerned that maybe no color actually went on my hair because this just rinsed out a little to easily. I conditioned with Pureology Hydrate conditioner (I hate the boxed conditioners they make my hair really oily). I am amazed how silky and shiny my hair is. Usually it's shiny after a coloring but not this silky. The color is AMAZING! Usually I have to wait a week for the color to tone down to a real medium reddish brown. It's perfect. This stuff is awesome.

Shampoo -Joico - K-PAK Chelating Shampoo
Phira 9/11/2010 8:55:00 PM
This is the best clarifying shampoo out there. I use a lot of products with silicone and with my hair being color treated I am terrified of anything that will dull or strip my color. Other products dried me out. This is a gentle clarifier but gets the hair super clean. I always follow this with the Joico's deep hydrating conditioner and my hair always looks fantastic.

Blush -TheBalm - Hot Mama

I have not been disappointed with this product. It it the perfect pinky peach.. not to dark, not to light. I only use this as an eyeshadow and it's absolutely beautiful. I have amber colored eyes and it just makes my eyes shimmer. A great color to wear everyday for that "glow".

Fragrances -Issey Miyake - L'Eau d'Issey
Phira 7/1/2009 8:36:00 AM
I tried this out when I got a sample from Sephora many years ago. I fell in love instantly. It is absolutely perfect and no one I know wears it. It has a nice dry down that makes you want to sniff your skin and your clothing. I always catch a wiff of myself throughout the day and smile because I can't believe it's me that smells so wonderful. I am not good at describing fragrance but it's a very clean crisp scent. The floral aquatic tone is sexy, feminine and fresh without being to girlie. Its simple. What I love most about this fragrance is how it changes with your body chemistry. This does not smell the same on everyone and seriously every time I wear it, it smells different on me. I really like that it changes with my body chemistry and becomes what it is meant to become at that moment.

I had my hair cut a few weeks ago into an angled bob. Short in the back, longer on the sides. The girl who cut my hair sprayed this stuff and I was first intriqued by the smell. It smells yummy. Then I noticed the texture. The layers laid nicely, I had fullness and volume and no little hairs sticking up. It's expensive but worth it. A little can will last a long time. The first time I used this on my own I used to much and my hair looked greasy all day. The next time I used it, I just sprayed a little and shook my hair. It texturized beautifully. I didn't have to run my fingers through my hair or touch it up with a comb. This stuff is awesome. I was looking for a product that would replace hair spray. This does the trick.

Hair -Wen by Chaz Dean - Sweet Almond Mint Cleansing Conditioner
Phira 6/20/2009 12:24:00 PM
I started using WEN a few years ago. It took me some time to get used to not having a product that foams up but honestly, this stuff is awesome. I have thin, fine hair so using a thick conditioner tends to make my hair greasy. I also have to wash everyday. This stuff makes it easy to do that. This is how I use it: (I have an angled bob right now so I don't need that much product) I wet my hair for about 5 minutes then use about 5 pumps and massage it into the back of my hair first.. Then another 5 pumps massaged into the front and top of my hair. I comb my fingers through and get the roots and ends good and coated. If I feel I need more WEN I typically will add 2-5 more pumps. I leave it on for about 5-10 minutes while I finish my other routines and then I add a bit of water, lather the product up and rinse, rinse, rinse. I think people have problems with WEN if they don't rinse well. The thing to remember is to RINSE RINSE RINSE. Btw, My son is biracial... has an inbetween hair texture that is very curly. He has used nothing but WEN for several years. The results on his hair are amazing. Soft, shiny, and no dreading.

Styling Products -Sexy Hair Concepts - Root Pump
Phira 4/13/2009 4:18:00 PM
I was looking for a product that would give me good volume that lasts. I have fine hair that typically goes flat after about 3 hours. I had tried the Redken volume foam and that was ok but caused a lot of breakage. I read the reviews here and decided to purchase. Great product. Gives me great volume and hold. Doesn't dry out my hair like most volume foams do and didn't make my scalp itch. The volume lasted all day. I took off a lippie because it's pricey and the nozzle clogged after I used it the first time. I have to spray it in my hand and then distribute through my hair.

Styling Products -Sexy Hair Concepts - Smooth and Seal Aerated Anti Frizz Spray
Phira 4/13/2009 4:11:00 PM
My stylist used this on my hair when I had it done about a week ago. I loved the smell and the results so I purchased a can. The first time I used it my hair was dry and I essentially used it as a flat iron spray. It did an o.k. job. I loved the shine. When I used it the second time I decided to use it when my hair was damp. I sprayed it on and then blow dried my hair. AMAZING RESULTS! I didn't have to flat iron after my blow dry. Usually there are little hairs sticking up after I blow dry. Not this time. Super shiny, very silky hair, no greasiness like most shine products and NO STATIC!!! I will purchase again and again and again.
