Love this toner. I don't write many reviews but this is worth telling people about. I don't have lots of extra money so am always seeking the best products for less. I got this on ebay for a few bucks and beats any toner I have ever used. I used to spend lots of money on skin stuff and tried lots of toners...shiseido etc. By far, this is the best value. It smells great!! My skin looks so much better the next morning. Thanks Avon for this one...you'd swear this cost lots more than 5 bucks or so. Oh and the name has changed to Keep it Fresh. Have fun being frugal! :)
Treatments -Rene Furterer - Triphasic Revitalizing Formula

Wow. I only bought the package on sephora b/c of the reviews here. I bought the 100.00 kit from sephora that includes the sample shampoo, the oil and the triphasic vials. I think it's called the progressive hair thinning kit. I am 35 and started losing my hair this past year. Some of it is genetics, but i think more of it was from a major downturn in my health, lots of medications, immune problems and as a result of feeling so sick, a poor diet. I wasn't eating much protein at all and eating fewer vitamins in general. So I got serious about my hair when parts of my scalp became visible. I started on multivitamins and a specific hair vitamin. I ordered this kit. I ordered a shower/water filter. I ordered one of those hair towels so I could absorb water without rubbing. I invested in a better dryer. I stopped washing my hair every day and went to every other. I didn't blowdry my hair unless I really needed it to look its best. Two months later I can report a lot of growth; my scalp has filled out a great deal and my hair has grown like it never has in my life. The triphasic is fantastic. Unfortunately, I used a few vials wrong on the first batch (the set has hoorid directions), but once I used them correctly, the effect was pretty immediate. I am worried about taking the break that is advised next by Furterer, but will keep up with all other changes I made, including dietary, filter, less stress on my hair. and vitamins. I will come back and report what happens. I recommend this so highly. My husband noticed a big difference. I almost bought a wig and am happy I didn't spend the money. Any questions please email me. I am such a believer!! Heather phdgrrl at aol dot com Best of luck with your locks!

I have sent this to many friends and everyone loves the feel of it. Even though it is rich and smooth, it may not be enough moisture for some. For me it is perfect and so many of her scents are superlative. In coconut cream pie, it's just decadent. Thank you dina!

I love coconut cream scents and this is the best one out there. Dina if you read this - ppppplllleasssssse don't change this scent! I have to always have it onhand...great for after a bath, before bed, anytime. Thank you Dina for your outstanding work. You add much joy to my life!
I am 34 with stubborn adult acne, especially hormonal acne on the jawline. Holy crow - I am so impressed by this product. Yes it smells like alcohol etc etc, but anyone who is desperate to see change by the next morning - this product is for you. Today I got a blemish/whitehead type growing on my cheek. I applied this and within a few hours it was flat. I avoided a big breakout. I am using the sample right now - not sure if I can afford the full size. If you can afford it - what are u waiting for??? buy it! (and send me some) haha.
I ordered my first few items from DFB and enjoyed the experience tremendously. Getting a DFB package is a multi-sensory experience - my package arrived in my little mailbox in Maine all funky and smelling like an herb shop...an antique store...deep and wild woods, musky and sensual. The postman, being about 75 years old and having been doing this same route for 50 years, must have felt his blood pressure rise a little. :) Truly, a wonderful box to come home to...and this is just the outside!!! The shea butter came in a precious soapstone pot. How perfect. Scented in Golden Oak, very rich tones of carmel and maple and piles of tree-fallen leaves, I was wild not only about scent but texture. Smooth, thick and decadent. Truly, a little goes a very long way. From my understanding, one can buy larger refill sizes to preserve the initial soapstone pot...just a unique idea for a gift to another or oneself.
Scrubs -Brown Bag Bath & Beauty - Sugar Scrub (all)

These big, organic tubs are just so aesthetically pleasing. Brown Bag offers much in the way of presentation. The products look like they may have come from a tres cher boutique - but don't fret, as the prices of this company's products are extremely reasonable. Love the fact that shopping with Brown Bag has a trendy and stylish feel...but offers products at such fair prices that pampering is accessible to many..and not to a lucky few! Sugar grains are large, and I find these scrubs to be fairly aggressive. I have purchased a few of them, but the grand prize has to go to the Peach scent - mixed with a Cinnamon Bun type scent. The peach scent is extremely fresh, and gives rise to summer visions...the sensual experience of eating a peach - juicy and lush. Each time I open the tub I feel lucky to have a nose :) The scrubs can be ordered in one scent, two scents/layers, or three. How fun! If I had to identify any weak points, I guess some might not find these moisturizing enough..as some other scrubs leave you with a film of oil after your shower or bath. Nonetheless....Overall, a treat.

Absolutely adore this product in: Sweet Vanilla and Sand. Oakmoss is nice too - but was quite faintly scented, so I cant say I've had a "full" experience with this scent. I assume, however, it is a green and earthly scent, so true to what the name implies. Smells a bit like a damp riverbed, tendrils of plants squirreling their way through the damp soil. Oh to be a fairy, frollicking around a tree on a cool, foggy morning..breathing in Oakmoss! Ahhhhhh.... Sweet Vanilla is fantastic, but defies description. I dont like perfume-y scents, but sweet vanilla just verges on perfume-y. It is distinct and pretty. Clean. A lovely scent just before bed or right after a shower. Nice weekend scent. Sand is a perplexing name for its namesake scent. To me, it smells nothing like sand, a beach, or anything that exists in a marine-type landscape. Very sweet and strong - floral. The first day I wore it, my husband brushed his face against my neck and said "MMMMmmmm. Flowers." Overall the texture of body whips is smooth as yogurt and similar in consistency. I love it when a cream stays "cool" and my BB whips seem to always sustain a refreshingly cool temperature. Pleasant and reliable. Love 'em!
Lotions/ Creams -Simplyscents - Simply Scents Lotions
PhDGrrl 9/19/2003 11:03:00 PM
I hate to even add this, as I am consistently so happy with SimplyScents - in fact, it is very hard to find such consistently high quality in an etailer. The texture of the lotions are wonderful. The scent I wanted to bring up in this review, however, is Brown Sugar Pie Crust. I cant figure out how this is even remotely pie crust like - which most people anticipate to be sweet, sugary or buttery. This scent offers none of these qualities. In fact, I get a sharp orange scent, along with a very strong burnt odor...Very unpleasant.
Lotions/ Creams -Simplyscents - Shea Butter Creams
PhDGrrl 9/19/2003 10:47:00 PM
In my book, the shea butter creams from Simplyscents are the Cadillac of all lotions. The texture is consistently unbeatable - extremely smooth, no lumps of emulsifying wax, and pleasantly thick. Very spreadable and sinks in quickly. I absolutely ADORE this product in Coconut Cream Pie, a scent that can go wrong in the Bath and Body world, and most often does. The scent has notes of vanilla, coconut, a heavy cream type smell, and the slightest bakery or pie scent (very faint). This is a HIG product for me and I fear the day when this scent might be changed or discontinued!
I was quite happy with my deluxe-sized sample of Perfect Love that Mary sent with my order. One reviewer listed the texture as like a whipped margarine, and I understand that comparison, though in no way do I want to imply it's as greasy! In fact, it is not greasy at all. I went through this cream quickly and found it to be an original. Mixture of foody and sensual - ceratainly a vanilla scent, but very soft. I did not get a fake or plastic scent here at all - good quality fragrance oil. This is a nice daily fragrance as its pretty enough to be pleasant, but not attention-seeking or loud...

The body butter is so wonderful. So thick and luxurious - and I got it in Sugared Shortbread. Best SS scent I have gotten thus far - a true, warm baking scent. I LOVE this product.
Fragrances -Bath and Body Works - Sparkling Snowflake
PhDGrrl 1/5/2003 5:11:00 PM
Holy Grail! Bad day, stressful thoughts....? The answer to everything can be found in my Shower in an adorable sparkly cobalt blue bottle. Light musky scent, but more like how the world would smell just after a freshly fallen snow, sprinkled with powdered sugar and coconut flakes. Lotion is light and lovely; shower gel foams magnificiently - this is a 2001 product. Hard to find...but if you do? Either contact me fast or enjoy it yourself!!
