BB Cream -Skinfood - Good Afternoon Peach Green Tea BB Cream
Perkypolisher 1/16/2013 2:52:00 PM
I really love this BB cream. It provides even, sheer coverage and has a nice scent. It's not too thick or thin and blends very well. I use a Real Techniques stippling brush. I have combo skin, mostly dry and otherwise unproblematic. I'm a MAC NC 25-30 and the Peach Green Tea is a perfect shade for me. It just makes my skin look smooth and natural. Will definitely purchase again! I found it on Amazon for about $8 USD.

Lipstick -MAC - Candy Yum-Yum

I have always been in love with bright, bold lip colors, but always from afar- until now. CYY is finally permanent and I tried it for kicks at my MAC counter. I knew I'd hate it, that it wouldn't look right on my NC25/30 skin, that it would be too bold... To my surprise, it's absolutely perfect. I've never owned a matte lipstick because I love gloss, but this is glorious. It leaves a gorgeous stain and never feathers or fades unevenly. Did I mention that it's perfect? If you like bold colors, don't question if it will go with your skin color. Just try it! It's a new favorite. Highly recommend.

Lipstick -MAC - Cut a Caper
Perkypolisher 7/21/2012 6:33:00 PM
I am so in love with this pinky perfect lipstick. I have very pigmented lips and this lipstick is a "my lips but better" shade. I'm partial to the signature MAC vanilla scent, and this is no exception. It is creamy in application and the staying power is great. It looks soft and pretty but not overdone. My skin tone is NC25-30 for reference. Would definitely purchase again and again!

Highlighters -MAC - Star Wonder

Love, LOVE this MSF. I use it as a blush and it gives my NC25 skin a gorgeous pink glow. It's not too shimmery and looks very natural, though it can easily be built up for increased pigmentation. I use this blush almost daily. It's a joy to use and is soo, soo pretty to look at! I just wish it wasn't so expensive.. but I think It'll last awhile, and I wouldn't mind paying for it again when I run out. Highly recommend.

Makeup Brushes -Real Techniques by Samantha Chapman - Blush Brush
Perkypolisher 6/28/2012 10:46:00 PM
I really love how soft this brush is, and the pink handle is so pretty. It cost me $10 at Ulta. I have tried it multiple times in different ways because I couldn't figure out if the brush wasn't the best or if it was user error... Needless to say, this brush does not work well for blush. I have tried multiple brands and the brush just doesn't pick up the color at all. I feel like it takes an eternity to get any color payoff, and meanwhile I'm wasting product. I'll try it as a powder or bronzing brush soon and come back to update. Overall, pretty crappy for blush.

Liquid -BeneFit Cosmetics - "Hello Flawless!" Oxygen Wow

I am so in love with this foundation. I read amazing reviews and swapped for it BN. I got Cheers to Me Champagne after a Benefit rep at Sephora told me that it would be good middle range shade. It feel so light and doesn't get cakey. It lasts all day and is easily washed off. I love how smooth it makes my skin, especially paired with Benefit the POREfessional. Pretty amazing product, just wish it wasn't so expensive, because I'm going to need a new bottle eventually! :)

Primer/ Corrector -BeneFit Cosmetics - The Porefessional
Perkypolisher 6/12/2012 7:30:00 PM
I have tried a few different primers, but so far The POREfessional is my favorite. I really love how silky it makes my skin. A small amount under my eyes and over my cheeks smooths my skin and really evens the tone. I have some larger pores on my nose and this conceals them almost entirely. Some days, especially when I'm tan, I don't even need foundation because this primer is so smoothing. A little blush over it and a bit of concealer under my eyes and I'm set. I find that it makes my makeup last much longer, even in very hot Oklahoma when I used to have to reapply often in the summer. I don't mind the slightly floral scent at all, but I do cringe a bit at the $29 price tag. The packaging is cute, too. Overall, I'm very happy with this primer. If you can find a mini to try, I recommend doing that before purchasing the large tube. Often Benefit has little travel sets with mini sized products in it, and that's a great way to see what you think.

Highlighters -TheBalm - Mary-Lou Manizer
Perkypolisher 5/31/2012 8:56:00 PM
I ordered this after reading such excellent reviews. I debated between some MAC MSF and decided to go with The Mary-Lou Manizer first. I am SO glad that I did! It has the cutest packaging and nice round mirror. It's such a lovely, warm highlighter that makes my skin absolutely glow without being a disco ball. It's a wonderful champagne shimmer that I actually find myself using even without other makeup on lazy days. It's absolutely perfect and a little goes a long way! If you want a good highlighter, go buy this asap! I heard you can find it at Marshall's, etc in sets, and I'm going soon to hopefully buy a backup. Amazing product.

Favorite concealer brush! It's perfect for under my eyes when I have pesky dark circles. For $1, too... PERFECT.

I bought this eyeshadow a few days ago and I'm in love with it. The color is gorgeous and the staying power (when worn with a primer- haven't tried it without) is excellent. The glitter fallout is a little annoying but just tap your brush before applying or use a fan brush after and that fixes it! I have a feeling I'll be using this e/s allllllll the time. Highly recommend.

Mascara -Tarte - Lights Camera Lashes
Perkypolisher 5/27/2012 7:45:00 PM
New favorite mascara! I have short, bland lashes and LCL makes them long, dark and so full. It is easy to remove and has a pleasant, not chemically smell (that bothers me for some reason!) I feel that the packaging is a little wasteful.. I wish we could remove the purple snakeskin case because I'm going to hate to throw it away. It's adorable! The cost is $19 which makes me cringe a little, but it's wonderful and I'll continue to buy it unless another mascara steals me away!

Liquid -L'Oreal - True Match Super-Blendable Makeup SPF 17
Perkypolisher 5/27/2012 7:28:00 PM
My skin is medium/fair with yellow undertones, combination, and I love this foundation. I apply it with an ELF foundation brush and the coverage is wonderful. I found it on sale at Target for $5.00 and thought it would be nice to try. I had no idea I'd love it so much! This is something I'll use on days where I feel I need more coverage than usual, as I mostly prefer a highlighter and powder only, but it does the job and doesn't clog my pores. I'm very pleased with the price! BUT... would love for it to have a pump!

Eye Primer -Too Faced - Shadow Insurance, Anti-Crease Eye Shadow Primer

Favorite eyeshadow primer. The formula isn't thick or sticky, and applies softly. It makes my eye makeup last allll day and well into the night. $18 is steep, but I've had my tube for about a year and I don't think I'm even half way through it. It's a must have!
