It is so interesting to read the reviews and read what everyone says about the scent. Yes it smells like a strong campfire, yes the scent can be a little overwhelming as it lingers in my bathroom for most of the rest of the day. But when I am actually shampooing my hair with this bar I can barely smell the scent (weird I know). It does not make my hair smell like a campfire but I use conditioner after and I'm not sure that makes a difference. I happen to love every Lush shampoo bar I have ever tried. For some reason the ingredients makes my hair very shiney, full of volume and curly but well behaved. The shampoo bars last forever for me. It takes so little to get a full lather for my medium-short hair. I keep the shampoo bar in a place where it can dry out and it lasts for months. I will definitely buy again.

Mascara -Origins - GinZing Brightening Mascara

It's really rare that I would use any mascara except one I could buy in a drugstore. The small article in Lucky Magazine did peak my interest and I'm really glad I got this. I don't have any trouble with the large applicator. This mascara makes my lashes look long and lush. I only use this on my top lashes and I do think this applicator would be difficult on anyone's bottom eye lashes. This mascara quickly became my favorite and I will continue to buy.

Lip Gloss -NARS - Ophelia

I have been on a Nars lip gloss kick lately. I don't want any other brand and Nars has so many gorgeous colors to choose from. Ophelia is my new love. I have fair skin and not very pigmented lips. Ophelia is a beautiful sheer pinkish-mauve on me. It brightens my face just a little. I love the staying power of Nars lip glosses. For those of you who have had problems with Nars lip glosses and a bad scent. The glosses are unscented. They do go rancid sometimes so if you have one that smells bad go exchange it. Now I am off to search for my next Nar lip gloss color.

Lipstick -Givenchy - Rouge Interdit in Rose Caprice

I must admit the look of this lipstick tube is slightly strange but I love the color so I won't hold it against Givenchy. I don't think I have bought one of their lipsticks before. Rose Caprice is a super sheer light pink. My own lips are not very pigmented so this gives me a my lips but better glow. It's very moisturizing and because it is sheer I can apply without looking in a mirror. Right now I am using this color every day, I am so enamoured of the gorgeous color and texture.

Lipstick -Clinique - Almost Lipstick - Lovely Honey

I don't find this color similar to Black Honey at all. This is a sheer pinkish-red. The red is very subtle. Like Black Honey (which I am very fond of) the staying power of these lipstick is not long but I knew that going in. It's nice to be able to put on lipstick without a mirror. It would be impossible to look over done in this color. It is a nice, fresh but not loud pop of color on my not very pigmented lips.

Moisturizers -Josie Maran Cosmetics - Argan oil

I got a small size of this at Sephora for $14. I used it faithfully on my face, in my hair, a little bit on my arms and legs but after two months I have to admit that I don't find this oil a bit moisturizing. My hair is fine and very curly, this did not do anything to make it softer, did not stop frizz, etc. Argan oil is nice in that it doesn't sit on top of your skin, it is absorbed quicker than a lot of other oils. But in the end I don't think it accomplishes anything it says it is going to. I also find Josie Maran's prices to be so expensive as to be ridiculous. If you like argan oil and find it works for you, it can be purchased (organic, unscented) from vendors on Amazon for a fraction of the cost of this brand.

Lip Gloss -NARS - Belize

I love Nars lip glosses. Belize is, on me, a my lips but better color. I only need a touch to color my whole lips. This brightens up my face and with Nars the staying power is much better than most lip glosses. I will keep buying this and Turkish Delight as long as they continue to make them.

Lip Liners -Wet 'n' Wild - Lip liner duo in nearly nude 121

I am not a fan of Wet'n Wild products for the most part. I have bought a few of their cosmetics but never been impressed. I stumbled accidentally on this lip duo because I was having a difficult time finding a sort of light brownish lip pencil. This comes with a thin liner at one end and a sort of thin lipstick size at the other end. It's a gorgeous, slightly shimmered light brown, sort of bordering on gold. I normally tint my lips with stain and then put lip liner on top of it and like it to lighten the stain. This works beautifully for that purpose. It is self sharpening so that is a bonus. The main negative point about this product is the pencil itself is cheap and breaks easily as in all of a sudden the caps for the pencils will not stay on, which is just cheap packaging and something Wet N Wild should think about getting better quality. I have bought this pencil 3 times and stash one at work, in my car, in my purse, etc. Other than the lid problem it's a really good, reasonably priced lip pencil.

Lip Liners -E.L.F. - Tea Rose

I have bought a few other Elf products and always felt that they were inexpensive because they weren't very impressive. However I stumbled upon this lip pencil in a really light, creamy pink on the bottom row of an Elf section at Target In many ways it could be used just like a matte lipstick. I love it. It is thicker and has more product than a normal lip liner and the color is perfect for me. I have very light, almost without pigment lips and fair skin. I think this pencil was $1 - $3, really an excellent buy and I will buy it again. I already had to buy it twice because my dog took the first one out of my cosmetic bag and munched on it while I was sleeping. I replaced it within days.

Brows -Maybelline - Define-A-Brow

I used this brow pencil for the first six months of this year. I thought it was my holy grail. It is easy to use, I love the blonde color and it colors in my sparse (at the end) brows really easily. But I also continued to read brow product reviews and I was intrigued with the Lancome brow pencil that is a powder-liner. I like the Lancome one more than this. This is still a great product at a really good price. I just love the Lancome pencil more.

Lips -Pixi - Brilliance Balm

I love the color of this lip balm - very much a my lips but better color(I have fair skin and light lips), with just a hint of shimmer. I didn't mind the slightly mint scent. The shape/size of the pencil is fine. Everything was great except this lip balm had zero staying power. I can barely think of another lip product (and I have used hundreds) that wore off so quick. It's too bad because the color is gorgeous.

Lipstick -NARS - Shrinagar

I am a huge fan of Nars Damage lipstick. So much so that I thought I have been wearing Damage for months when I happened to glance at the name and realized it was Shrinagar instead. Love this color. I am very fair with lips that have almost zero pigment. I dab this on as I only need a little of it to color my lips. It's very natural on me this way. If I put it on like a regular lipstick it would be too strong for my coloring (and age). I love Nars lipsticks and lip glosses. The products are all such high quality that I go back to Nars to purchase them again and again.

Gels/Soaps -Bliss Labs - Blood Orange & White Pepper Shower Gel

My daughter-in-law gave me a huge pump bottle of this shower gel plus the lotion. I was disappointed at first because I was positive that I would have liked the lemon sage scent much better. Once I began using this I was totally surprised by how much I loved it. I find this to be a really nice combination of the orange scent plus the pepper has a spicy bite to it. It is perfect for waking me up on winter mornings. This lathers well and I only used two pumps for a shower. The bottle lasted me a year (I did use other body washes occasionally).This is not a product that will scent your skin after you shower but that is fine with me. I will definitely buy this product again.

Lip Gloss -NARS - Super Orgasm

This is a lovely lip gloss but the color is too similar to Turkish Delight on me. I thought it would show up on my lips a little brighter but it looks the same - a milky pink shade that i love but I don't need 2 lip glosses that end up the same color.

Lotions/ Creams -Unlisted Brand - Mountain Ocean - Skin Trip Coconut Lotion

I love love love this lotion. It has the most wonderful and natural coconut scent. I have tried many other products in coconut and most of them smelled like plastic or something totally artificial (too sweet for example). Mountain Ocean gets this scent totally right. I have actually been using this stuff for years. I tend to wear it more in the winter when the scent of it will take me back to warm days walking on the beach in Hawaii.
