Liquid -Revlon - ColorStay Makeup with SoftFlex SPF 6 for Combination/Oily Skin
Peaches27 7/16/2010 12:01:00 PM
Well, I just recently tried this on a whim. I have looked at Revlon foundation for years but never purchased until now- not sure why. I was previously using Rimmel MIneral foundation and really do like but wanted a change...went to the new Sephora minerals for a bit but wasn't happy with the color. So...tired this stuff out yesterday and really like! Great coverage, doesn't feel or look cakey and color is pretty good. Would like a tad more of a yellow tint but I can live with this...good stuff.

Powder -Sephora - Mineral Loose Powder Foundation [DISCONTINUED]
Peaches27 6/24/2010 11:58:00 AM
I know this is new, but surprised there aren't a few more reviews hrere. There are over 30 I think at Sephora.com. I have tried several mineral makeups and hopefully this will end my search for a while. I have only used this for 2 days so I may have to come back and make changes but so far I think I really like this. Nice, buildable natural coverage. Not drying. Does have more of a matte look, but putting some luminzer will help with that if you want a little more of a glow. My ONLY gripe is the color selection. I picked up Medium 26 and it's just a tad too orange for me-most of the darker shades felt that way looking at them in the store (do go on the skin lighter though). The next lighter color is just a bit too light though. I may end up buying the lighter one and just mixing to make the color that I really need. Right now I just dust some of the Sephora Mineral double compact powder (I love, but coverage is just a little too llight) over (D25) and it evens things out enough so I don't feel like I'm orange'ish. Overall, very good stuff and the price is right too!

Powder -Silk Naturals - Mineral Foundation
Peaches27 4/19/2010 10:47:00 AM
Well, I feel a bit unhappy. Not sure if all these reviews are fake, or if I am just the odd man out in the midst of the 50+ reviewers. I did not like this stuff, not really even one little bit. I bought samples, spent $16 and wasn't sure, thought maybe I used the wrong mixture (too much glow?), the product didn't blend well and for some reason one side of my cheek looked really bad, like the makeup got extra thick there and couldn't make it look even, and the glow was too much as well. So I spent another $15 to try again, fail! I guess I just don't get it. I have tried probably 5 other mineral makeups and this has to be the worst one. I do like some of the other products, but not foundation. I'll stick with the pre-mixed stuff.

Polishes -OPI - Baby It's "Coal" Outside
Peaches27 12/29/2009 10:59:00 PM
LOVE, LOVE this color. I had a mani and pedi done today and picked this on a whim. I normally get black but wanted something a bit different, and since I normally wear darker colors, I thought it would be perfect-and it was. So...now I'm looking to buy a bottle online since they didn't have it at the salon. A new staple.

Liquid -Maybelline - Dream Liquid Mousse
Peaches27 12/29/2009 10:11:00 AM
I have some mixed feelings- but do like this product very much. I love the pump feature and the first color I got was a perfect match for my skintone. I like the finish and how easily it glides on. I do have drier skin so that's probably why this works okay for me. I also live in Colorado so my skin is even drier most of the time. However, I am in Florida on vaca now and I already notice a difference...my skin looks a little oilier by afternoon time because of the foundation. So....in a hot, humid place or oiler skin, this stuff may not be the best but drier skins in drier climates should be just fine. It is a nice foundation and I also haven't had any breakouts- been weaing for about a month.

Highlighters -LORAC - Oil-Free Luminizer
Peaches27 8/21/2009 1:18:00 PM
Well, I bought because of the great reviews on Sephora's website...I was surprised they weren't better here. Anyway, I accidentaly bought the gold and almost took it back thinking it would be way too dark. Well, I decided to give it a try and really liked it-I don't have much of a tan but it gives a hint of color to my face and with my foundation it doesn't look too dark...just a nice glow. I love it!! For winter I will probably get the pearl though. Pricey, but great find and it should last a while since you only need a little.

Foundations -Sephora - Mineral Double Compact SPF 10
Peaches27 8/2/2009 7:24:00 PM
I just tried this out today because of the good reviews from here. I am pretty happy with what I am using now but wanted something a little easier to use--now I use a liquid with brush and then a mineral powder. Too time consuming. Anyway, been looking for a compact makeup and tried the Palladio from Sally's, didn't care for tha at all. I like this I think...time will tell though. I got a good color match, a little lighter than I wanted but they were out of the other shade I wanted...I go D25 instead of the D30 I wanted. But I think it will work fine for now. Anyway, only think I do not like is the mirror at the bottom-how inconvenient, ek. I will use for a week and update if needed. Okay, updating...I do really like this despite the crappy packaging...I think its def a keeper!

Wow, kind of surprised not more ppl have reviewed this. What a beautiful line of glitter eyeliners. Tons of great reviews on Sephora. I think I will be addicted now, which is not great since they are not cheap. Ah well...the price we pay for beauty!

Treatments -Peter Thomas Roth - Un-Wrinkle Peel Pads
Peaches27 3/16/2009 10:43:00 AM
Well, I have only been using these little pads for a few days but already notice a difference. My skin looks smoother, and clearer. I imagine as time goes on it will only get better! I was looking for something to give my dull skin a boost and help rid me of some of these red marks. I was about to order MUAC glycolic peel but was honestly a little scared...wanted to try something else first and then maybe move to that. And I wanted something easy. These are pricey, but I think will be worth it.

Liquid -Guerlain - Parure Extreme
Peaches27 2/24/2009 2:15:00 PM
WOW. I have been in the process of tying new foundations out the last 6 months or so. I just got samples of EDM and liked it so got a full jar. I like wearing minerals during the week because it's so easy to apply and I like easy in the moring. But...I had been eyeballing the reviews of this for a while, wanting to try it but not wanting to get addicted to a product that costs so much money. So, I thought why not just try this and use for special occassions or if I have extra time in the am to apply liquid foundation. So, just got this stuff so of course this is a preliminary review but, this is a great foundation, I LOVE it! At $55 a pop though, I am trying to not use this on a daily basis because I do like EDM as well and it's so cost effective!

Powder -Everyday Minerals - Foundation Original Glo Formula
Peaches27 2/23/2009 11:13:00 AM
well, i caved and got samples of this. only worn it for a few days and i like it-they cover better than my current minerals and have a nice, natural finish- I would like a little better coverage but I think that's something I can play with, it may be my brush so I'm going to get a new brush and see . i wasn't going to try it because i thought the color selection was just too daunting to figure out but i was wrong. i got samples in the buff category and found a perfect shade the first try- fairly light neutral. normally minerals are a bit too orange, or yellow, or pink for me...this was just right! i will be ordering it today. hopefully it doesn't break me out but i have high hopes that it won't as i have worn other minerals without any issue, just as long as there isn't bismuth.

Styling Products -Paul Mitchell - Super Skinny Serum
Peaches27 2/3/2009 4:21:00 PM
I found this product to only be okay. I am in search of something that makes my dry, frizzy hair...well, less dry and frizzy. It smells nice and isn't heavy, but other that that it's nothing special to me.

Other -Unlisted Brand - Spironolactone
Peaches27 1/20/2009 12:41:00 PM
I just started this two weeks ago so I know it's too early to write a thorough review but I thought I'd start it anyway and edit when I have been on it longer. I have just upped my dosage from 25mg to 50mg after 2 weeks. I wanted to make sure my body responded okay to it and my Doctor recommended it. So far so good I guess. I do have some slight dizziness and always thirsty but it has gotten a little better. As long as I keep a bottle of water with me and eat regularly, I am okay. I have only had maybe 3 new pimples so no apparent initial breakout- yet, but the real test is my upcoming period in about a week and of course the possible fluctuation of my cycle that I have heard happens to some women.

Treatments -Unlisted Brand - Honey
Peaches27 12/9/2008 9:54:00 AM
Honey is indeed a great product. I use it for many things but just started using it in my yogurt masks and am amazed at the results. I'm not sure if it's the honey or yogurt that is making my skin looks so much nicer but I will keep using both. It does bring pimples out quickly and gets rid of them and it gives a nice smooth tone to my skin. I have used it every night for the past 4 nights and will probably start using every other night so as to not over do things, but so far so good (hopefully I'm not jinxing myself). I thought of using just honey to dab on hard to get rid of pimples to see if that will help. I have a few stubborn ones that I am trying hard to get rid of so I think I will try it tonight instead of BP.
