Palettes -Stila - across the usa

The Road to Radiance is more of a day palette with neutral shadows and an eyeliner color and a more neutral convertible color. The e/s colors are: Snow Bunny (shimmery champagne/taupe, shimmery valley girl (pinkish taupe), southern belle (shimmery medium pink), and city chick (a beautiful very pigmented dimensional purplish taupe-bronze...the best of the palette). The CC is Hibiscus. This palette is worth it for the city chic shadow and Hibiscus alone! Hibiscus applies as a beautiful pink with a plumish undertone. This is a great natural palette for everyday for work or school. Shadows apply pretty sheer but are build-able. City Chick is very pigmented but blends beautifully. Great palette! I have been wearing this for work/school very frequently!

Lip Gloss -Essence - Lip Gloss
rated 4 of 5
Pam1 9/24/2010 10:13:00 PM

I have two of the XXXL glosses in Super Girl (a beautiful sheer sparkly pink) and Glamour To Go (a metallic pigmented nude). These glosses are a *steal* for $1.99!!! I am thrilled to find essence cosmetics now in the US (a german brand). Their eyeliners are the best and these glosses do not dissapoint. They are glossy, yet not sticky and a lot of product for the price. Packaging is sleek. Only drawback is the super fruity scent. Good color selection. Will totally pick up more glosses next time I am in ulta. What a great inexpensive and good quality brand!

Styling Products -Ion - Volumizing Solutions - Vitalizing Shaping Mist

I love this hairspray! I think it is my new HG. I had been using Aveda's Air Control because I liked the light flexable hold, but hated the smell. This product is 10X better than the aveda spray!!! It gives a soft flexable hold...and the best part...it gives incredible shine! It smells good too and is sooooo much cheaper than Aveda! This is a great line (available at Sallys). I plan to repurchase this over and over (already purchasesd a small size for my purse for $.99) and I plan to try more from this line.

Polishes -Sinful - merlot
rated 5 of 5

This color is beautiful! On tips or toes. Perfect dark wine red/vampy color with slight shimmer. I have fair skin, but I am sure this would flatter most skin tones. Great color and versitle enough for the office or going out! Wears great too. I find it somewhat similiar to Milani's black cherry, but it wears better. I love this brand!

Polishes -Sally Hansen - Beyond Perfect Protein Nail Color in Sheer White Tea [DISCONTINUED]
rated 5 of 5
Pam1 11/16/2006 10:09:00 AM

This is probably my favorite nail polish! It is a super shiny, easy to apply, sheer white polish. As others have said, 2 coats give a nice YNBB look. The shade almost reminds me of what acrylics look like with a french manicure. It makes the nails look so neat, shiny, professional, and healthy. Even my husband compliments my nails when I wear this! It also seems to smooth out the ridges in my nails. I am a month-post acrylics so my nailbed is in bad shape, but with this polish on, my nails look perfectly healthy, ridge-free, and shiny. I have also used this as a base for a french manicure and it looks beautiful like this! I dont think I will ever be without this polish! Thanks SH!

Polishes -Sinful - Cetus
rated 5 of 5
Pam1 10/31/2006 8:32:00 PM

Beautiful sparkly nude pinkish-beige color. Color goes on thickly and opaque with beautiful microglitter sparkle that flashes pink and silver. Perfect nude color...with a kick of sparkle (but not too much sparkle for daytime/professional looking nails)...the sparkle just makes it look more interesting than your basic nude...and so pretty when it hits the light! I am loving this inexpensive line of polishes with the fantastic shades, good quality, and great packaging! I am excited to try more colors from this line. For $1.99, it is worth experimenting with colors that you might not try otherwise.

Polishes -Sinful - Nail Polish in Amazing Pink
rated 5 of 5
Pam1 10/27/2006 4:59:00 PM

This is such a beautiful shade! It is very very sheer light pink with opalecent micro glitter (that flashes green). The shimmer is lovely and subtle (you really cant see the sparkles unless you hold your fingers up to a light or sunlight). This shade is very wearable for every day and suitable for professional attire and would go with pretty much whatever you are wearing. I am so excited to have discovered this Sinful Colors brand at my local walgreen's. The polish is just $1.99 for a huge (OPI shaped) bottle. The packaging is nice, the color selection is beautiful (such a variety and very unique shades), and it seems to wear just as well as my higher-priced polishes (I always wear a top coat, so that might help). I highly recommend this color and this brand.

Cleansers -Unlisted Brand - Topix Pharmaceuticals Resurfix Ultra Gentle Cleanser
rated 5 of 5
Pam1 10/15/2006 8:49:00 AM

I am suprised that this product does not have better reviews. This is the most gentle cleanser that I have ever used that actually rinses clean. It is fragrence free and non-irritiating. My skin is very very sensitive and this is among one of only a few cleansers that work for me. The texture and consistancy of this cleanser remind me a bit of Purpose, only the topix is unscented and not as drying. I have repurchased this many times and it is the cleanser I always go back to when my skin gets dry or irritated. I find when I use this consistantly, the overall redness in my face diminishes. I just wish this was available at the drugstore.

Hair -John Frieda - Sheer Blonde Spotlight
rated 5 of 5
Pam1 6/18/2006 11:58:00 AM

I love this product! It is a thick shine serum...that gives your hair fantastic shine and smoothes down flyaways. I always use this as the "finishing touch" after I am done styling my hair. I get compliments on how shiny and healthy my hair looks. I like this so much better than any other shine serums I have used...the texure of this is different almost gel-like. But, be careful to not use too much or you will look greasy and I imagine it would weigh hair down. I am never without this! I actually carry a tube in my purse, have one at home, and one in my desk drawer at work!

Sunscreen -La Roche Posay - Anthelios XL ,SPF 60+
rated 3 of 5
Pam1 2/12/2006 11:20:00 AM

2 words..."Oil Slick". While I wanted to like this because of the high SPF/PPD rating...this left me sooooo greasy and shiny (and I have dry skin). The good news is that it did not cause any breakouts and I am breakout prone. I would wear this to the beach or while doing yardwork or maybee even the pool...but not as an everyday facial sunscreen.

Lip Treatments -Aveeno - Essential Moisture Lip Conditioner with SPF 15
rated 5 of 5
Pam1 2/12/2006 11:16:00 AM

Wow, I am suprised at the negative reviews here. This is my new HG lipbalm! I like it because it is not "waxy" like other lipbalms. It goes on very smooth and is very moisturizing. I also like that it dosnt have a "sunscreen taste"...it has just a very light pleasant flavor. I love that it has SPF and is a nice base to lipgloss. I will definatley repurchase this!

Treatments -Neutrogena - Advanced Solutions At Home MicroDermabrasion System [DISCONTINUED]
rated 4 of 5
Pam1 11/19/2005 9:54:00 PM

This is my first experience with a microdermabrasian system (and I have never had it professionally done, so I dont know what to compare it to). That said, I am pretty happy with this system. I find the price to be a bit high for a drugstore item, but was lucky to buy with a coupon. I followed the instructions for sensitive skin use initally. This really leaves your skin feeling smooth and soft (like any good scrub would do). I also think the stimulating action of the applicator must do something to "stimulate" blood flow to the skin and encourage that "glow". When I first started using it I noticed a few very very tiny pimples around my nose area and a couple on my cheek (and I never break out anymore...I am 31 with combo-dry skin, but formerly acne prone)...I found that I was not rinsing the product off well enough. So, I started removing with a warm wash cloth and following it with Aveda's all sensitive toner and there were no more breakouts. I think the product reside caused those. Also, even though I have sensitive skin...I am still able to follow up neutrogena microderm treaments with my differin cream (but I wait about an hour after to apply differin). But I really "eased" into doing this as I would not suggest you apply perscription products afterwards until you know how your skin will react to the overall system. I now use this system about 1x a week. I find the scrub cream to be overly fragrenced, so I prefer using my friend's own microderm cream that she formulated (a MUA member). Overall, this system has helped to exfoliate and even out my skintone. I do not have fine lines nor sundamage, so I dont know if it would help with that. My skin is "touchably soft" after use and "glowy". I have also noticed getting complements on my skin a bit more. People have been asking me what I have been using. It must be this system giving me the nice results as it is the only thing I have changed in my skincare routine. I would not recommend this system to anyone with active breakouts. If your skin is breakout prone, you might consider using a gentle toner afterwards and rinsing with a washcloth to remove all residue. Also, if you are sensitive...ease into the system (and maybee patch test first-like only use on your chin).

Eye Makeup Remover -Neutrogena - Oil Free eye makeup remover
rated 5 of 5
Pam1 11/19/2005 9:39:00 PM

This remover is fantastic! I will never purchase Lancome's Bi-Facil again...as I find this very similar and *much* less expensive. This is a completley gentle dual-phase eye makeup remover (just like lancome's). It is fragrance free and non-irritating. It removes all of my waterproof mascara and liner with ease. HG!!! Highly recommend!

Treatments -Aveda - Damage Remedy Restructuring Treatment
rated 5 of 5
Pam1 11/13/2005 7:14:00 PM

I am suprised that there are not more rave reviews here! This is a treatment that provides protein *and* moisture. I love that it does both because I am used to following protein treatments with moisturizing treamtents...but this one is so moisturizing that there is no need to follow up with another conditioner. This left my hair feeling silky, smooth, soft, strong,*and* shiny. I have heavily highlighted long hair that has suffered some serious damage in the past (but is much better now thanks to using great products recommended on MUA!). So, I am always looking for products with protein and moisture. I highly recommend this to anyone with dry/damaged/color treated hair.

Eye Shadow -Prestige - Angel
rated 2 of 5
Pam1 10/14/2005 8:54:00 AM

Usually I love Prestige eye shadows, but this one really dissapoints. The shade is lovely in the package...a whiteish-beige shimmer. I do not like how this applies. The texture is chalkly and non-blendable. It does not cover well and I dislike the texture. This is the first prestige shadow that I have not loved as all the other shades I have tried are winners.
