Cleansers -MAC - Cleanse Off Oil

I love this product! I use this at night to wash away my SPF moisturiser and makeup. It works great to remove eye makeup as well - no need for a separate eye makeup remover! I use two pumps of oil, work it into my DRY face for at least 30 seconds and concentrate on my eyes if I'm wearing lots of eye makeup (especially waterproof mascara and eyeliner) and then rinse off with lots of warm water. The oil will turn white for a few seconds (emulsifying, whatever that means) and then it will rinse clean and your face is left soft and not tight whatsoever. I have extremely oily skin too and even though I use this only at night I never found that it aggravated my oilies at all. It just washes away everything that's on my face and I'm left with clean, soft skin. The only trouble I have with this product is the bottle it comes in - the oil comes out too fast sometimes and spills and sometimes it will leak in my overnight bag (I no longer travel with it unfortunately). If you're careful and don't travel too much, I highly recommend this product for cleaning your face at night! It's definitely a staple in my bathroom cupboard :)

Sunscreen -Clinique - Super City Block SPF 25
Palmer54 3/12/2013 9:38:00 PM
This SPF face cream is by far the best I've ever tried. I have extremely oily skin and have had the worst luck finding a face cream with a high enough SPF to actually ward off the sun's rays (SPF 15 is laughable nowadays). This particular SPF face cream is a non-chemical sunscreen so it literally sits on top of your skin BUT it blends nicely and it never feels as if I'm wearing a heavy sunscreen mask. There's a light tint to cover the whiteness of the SPF and I find that it's enough colour to act as a light foundation for my pale, freckled skin (I don't like wearing a lot of products on my face). If I apply it and nothing else, my skin is definitely shiny but I always wear a powder on top to mattify and smooth my face. It's oil-free so it never melts or cakes on my face, even during extremely humid summers. It's also a great moisturiser for my oily skin - the Clinique people will tell you it's not a moisturiser but there are moisturising ingredients in this and if you have oily/combo skin, you definitely do not need to wear a regular moisturiser underneath. I wear this everyday and it's easy to remove at night b/c it does not get absorbed into your skin. I would highly recommend this product for those who want great everyday SPF protection plus tint for some coverage. The tube also lasts a long time too - I'm into month 7 using one tube and it's finally running out! It's totally worth the $23 CDN and I have already purchased my second tube!!

Eye Shadow -Clinique - Chubby Stick Shadow Tint for eyes
Palmer54 3/12/2013 9:17:00 PM
This is by far the BEST eyeshadow I have ever purchased!! I have the Lavish Lilac colour and it's gorgeous - I was afraid it would be too retro 80's but it's a much deeper purple and very little sparkle. It goes on smoothly and doesn't tug my eyelids. It lasts a full work day as well and it doesn't crease - very rare for me as I have incredibly oily skin all over. It's really expensive for eyeshadow ($19 CDN) BUT I know that it will last me a long time and I love the crayon/roll-up packaging. It's less messy than the regular powder eyeshadows and I don't even bother with a brush to apply as well. I'm definitely going to purchase this again in a few more colours!

Lip Treatments -eos - Lip Balm Sphere - Sweet Mint
Palmer54 3/12/2013 9:10:00 PM
This lip balm has become one of my favourites to use everyday. I have 3 flavours (honeysuckle, summer fruit and sweet mint) and the sweet mint one is my favourite. I find that it moisturises my lips well and doesn't cake or gum up on my lips when I'm outdoors, especially when it's cold outside. It's definitely not a hardcore lip balm for those who do extreme winter sports and there's no SPF in the formula so I don't use it when I'm out in the sun for long hours BUT it's great for normal day-to-day activities, work and being around the house. Each one smells great and each actually tastes like the flavour! The sweet mint one leaves a minty tingle when you first apply it but it goes away after a while and I don't find it irritating at all. I love how you apply the balm too - I pucker up and smooth the ball over my lips a few times and voila! My lips are moisturised, non-sticky and the balm will last through a cup of tea. I left one lippie off because of the packaging - it's definitely cute but not pocket worthy and it rolls around my desk if I don't set it down properly. Overall it's a great product and I will continue to re-purchase from now on!
