I have always disliked any company that uses models with very large breasts but then fails to stock those sizes in stores. I don't think their bras are great anyways and have heard all my friends say they fall apart, but I will not buy a bra unless I can try it on first, plain and simple. The Pink line of clothing is just tacky to me, I guess I can understand comfort but it crosses the line when half the people my age think sweats are acceptable in almost every setting. Anyways, I will say their one redeeming factor is the underwear. I have probably 300+ pairs of underwear, and a decent chunk of those are from here. Sometimes certain pairs are a little bit bigger, and the patterns have a tendency to not stretch well, but overall the quality is usually right on target. Since I buy a lot of underwear I usually wait until there is a sale, but for the quality and selection, there are few places I would recommend otherwise. Frederick's has similar quality and sales but is a bit racier, Target has many styles very similar for around the same price. Either way, their underwear definitely last and are very comfortable.

Masks -The Body Shop - Tea Tree Oil Face Mask
rated 4 of 5
PaleInComparison 2/26/2011 5:46:00 AM

Love this mask, I thought it was a bit pricey but for the amount I use to cover my whole face it's a good deal. I actually don't hate that it is in a jar, I find it easier for face masks because tubes always end up getting lost in the mine field that is my beauty care collection. Anyways, I really do love this mask. It's very refreshing and tingles upon application, dries well and is absolutely great for stubborn breakouts that refuse to come to the surface. I have managed to almost control my breakouts but I get about one pimple a week these days and they are usually very painful and deep. One thick application of this stuff usually brings them to the surface and alleviates my suffering. Before I got this I had a very painful one right under my nose for several days- once I put it on the next day it was all but gone and no more pain! I do recommend you apply this a little heavy handed- I find when I only apply a thin layer I get much less of the glowy effect and that it doesn't work as well on pimples. Also awesome as a spot treatment before bed! For my fair skin this is a wonderful product and it really brings out the natural beauty of my skin, my boyfriend even complimented me on how nice my skin looked.

Bath Treatments -LUSH - Twilight Bath Bomb
rated 5 of 5
PaleInComparison 2/11/2011 3:15:00 PM

I am not one to fixate on a single bath bomb, I tend to always buy new bombs/melts/bubble bars because I like to have a variety around when I decide to treat myself. Lush is probably where the majority of my beauty supply money goes, because I am both in love with the company and their products. I actually almost didn't buy this one, my boyfriend picked it out during the winter promotion and even though I resisted he got it anyways. In any event, I am so happy that he insisted on buying it! The smell is amazing- a very sweet lavender that manages to both soothe and smell like candy. It is not overpowering, and in the bath it mellows out to become very relaxing- I actually fell asleep in the bath after having oral surgery (I was in a lot of pain). The color is very faint and I have heard complaints about that, however it is faint so you can see the real magic of this bomb-the blue and silver glitter. Very little glitter stuck to me and it rinsed out of my tub with one blast from the shower. One of the best things about this bomb was the fact that it made bubbles and lots of them- but I do warn that your water has the be very hot and running when you put in the bath bomb for this to occur. When I got out of the tub I was relaxed, smelled great and my skin was super soft. My only recommendation is to use this when you have lots of time to soak and enjoy the glitter- and to avoid it if you don't like glitter! I still have a few pieces popping up but I don't mind, it just reminds me to go back and get more.

Eye Shadow -Physicians Formula - Baked Collection - Baked Sands
rated 4 of 5
PaleInComparison 10/16/2010 5:31:00 PM

I use this product everyday. I originally purchased it to use as eyeshadow but I found that the two darker shades make a perfect brow shadow when combined. I use the lighter shade as an all over shadow occasionally, but the two brown shades are my go-to for eyebrow grooming. As an eyeshadow the staying power is less than ideal, but the convenience of three shadows in one is something that keeps it as a staple in my kit. By using it mainly on my eyebrows this product has lasted an incredible amount of time, and the shape of the shadows themselves has seemed to prevent most of the powder loss than happens with all eyeshadow.

Styling Products -TiGi - Curls Rock Curl Booster
rated 5 of 5
PaleInComparison 2/19/2010 4:33:00 AM

One of my absolute essential hair products. At first it is hard to work with and you really have to be careful with how much you use- my best advice is to see how much comes out in one full pump. Then every time after that try and push out half of that and of course, rub it through your palms to distribute through hair. I don't recommend using this on your roots, because it can be stiff and you will lose volume, but it does tame fly aways well if you just smooth them with what is left on your hands. This works great for those who air dry! If you want a soft apply and go product-this is not for you. You can achieve soft curls with this but it requires both the right hair type and the right amount of product. However, once it dries you can easily scrunch curls and get a soft, bouncy curl. It holds style well and your hair will be shiny and beautiful! Too much though and you will have crunchy white chunks in your hair :(

Mascara -Maybelline - Great Lash Mascara
rated 3 of 5
PaleInComparison 2/17/2010 2:14:00 AM

While I don't see what all the complaints are about I do agree with another reviewer- there is nothing that special about this mascara other than it's price. The package is horrible and recognizable, the brush is mediocre and it does have a smell but I never notice it during use. It is a very intense black but on longer lashes it will only darken, not lengthen or curl. In a pinch this is a workable mascara and for occasions of sudden travel, lost mascara etc it can work because of the price. But otherwise I'd advise to save a little and go for better mascara for everyday use.

Liquid -Revlon - Beyond Natural Skin Matching Makeup SPF 15
rated 1 of 5
PaleInComparison 2/17/2010 2:09:00 AM

I am always trying new foundations and this was no exception. Though it claimed to be "skin matching" I found that this is always tricky with fair skin- it tends to have more redness and discoloration. True enough this foundation was not as close to my skin tone as I would have liked. It also did not bode well with my skin-mid day I was oily and even after blotting with powder later my skin was shiny and felt gross. I am not opposed to heavier foundations but I think this is a much better foundation for people with normal or dry skin and with even skin tone throughout their face.

Treatments -Nature's Gate - C for yourself Vitamin C texturizing serum
rated 5 of 5
PaleInComparison 2/17/2010 2:03:00 AM

One of my everyday products. I got a sample of this product from a friend and after just two days of use I knew I couldn't be without it. While I use this with a moisturizer as well, I do feel for normal skin it would be plenty on it's own. It smells great, is almost immediately absorbed into the skin and gives it a very soft, dewey feel. I have had my bottle almost four months now and it is still half full, after daily use and several other friends who wanted to "try it out". I am very glad I found this serum- and before I got it I didn't even know I needed it. It's been a huge help in evening out redness and "plumping" my skin so to speak!

Liquid -Revlon - PhotoReady Makeup
rated 5 of 5
PaleInComparison 2/17/2010 1:55:00 AM

Ever since my foundation stopped selling in America I had to find a new must have- and for me that is always an intensive uphill battle. Since I am fair skinned the first test is always color, but usually the place that most foundations fail is in lasting and coverage. I really wanted to love this foundation, and while it is not awful I am not fully ready to commit to it persay. I don't have a lot of acne but I do have the occasional patch of dry skin (Chicago and it's lovely wind!) and despite daily exfoliation, vitamin c serum and a lovely moisturizer I still noticed most of the dry patches on my face while using this foundation. Now on to the good things- it does match my skin tone quite nicely and it's lightest shade is a good match to me. The shimmer is not too bad, and is much more noticeable during application than during anything else. I don't recommend using a highly shimmery blush with this as it will make it very noticeable, and I do recommend that you use a rice powder or something equivalent to set this foundation. The powder helps both to prevent future oiliness and it also seems to erase the dry patches I notice after application. It is very long lasting, as long as you aren't rubbing your face it stays in place, and the bottle is very helpful in dosing out very small amounts for touch ups if you need them. Overall this may be my new favorite foundation, I need to wait for summer to really know. I imagine it will be even better when my skin is not windblown and angry!

Cleansers -LUSH - Herbalism
rated 3 of 5
PaleInComparison 2/17/2010 1:41:00 AM

I did like this cleanser but it just wasn't for me. As a huge fan of Lush it is nothing against them- I just find this cleanser to be more exfoliating than I need and while that can be great as a weekly treatment I have found Angels on Bare Skin works better for me in this department. I do enjoy the application though-incredibly easy to scoop some up and make paste. The smell is not that offensive to me but it's Lush- these are all natural, hand mixed ingredients and you have to expect variations in the product, color and smell. One nice thing about both Herbalism and Angels is that the exfoliation combined with the other ingredients clean away everything very nicely and leave a dewey feeling on my skin-I usually use half of my normal toner/mousturizer regimen after either product. I do agree with other posters- yes this is not a makeup remover but for me it loses a star anyways as it is frustrating to have to use another cleanser as it can overdry/breakout your skin.

Blush -MAC - Blush Ombre -Azalea Blossom
rated 4 of 5
PaleInComparison 2/17/2010 1:31:00 AM

I just checked this out at the Mac counter near my school. I had a feeling when they first released it that I would like this blush, so I felt pretty confident in having them put it on me so I can see how it wears through out the day. I wont say I am in love with it yet but I need to see how it works throughout the week. Of course, the lighting in the store was horrible so I looked like I had clown makeup on, but as soon as I stepped into natural light I did like the way it looked. Definitely some shimmer, but it's only noticeable in very bright light or if you are smiling- which is how I like my blushes. I would say the best part of this blush is how silky it is, because for a pale pink and a purple gradient it blends smoothly rather than sitting on your face.Just for a reference I am NC15. If this blush makes it through the week then I might edit this rating but for now I will say it's a nice and silky blush- if you need a new one and feel adventurous this might be fun.
